I hopw that AVR limited has big creatures, and walls, and other slow things with the only fast deck being Wee Dragonauts (Fly Kiln Fiend, fly!). I loved ROE draft.

Took them years to admit they printed 4 sets a year, now they're inching further. 5 seems excessive.

doesn't seem anything of the sort to me. If they were going to do anything I'd like them to axe core sets and print blocks as 2 sets. They'd have to screw w/ rotation and such leaving a little more in standard. It just doesn't seem worth it to change the status quo when its obviously working very well if magic is at its most popular point in history.

You're probably right, but these decisions they're making now like making the 3rd set large, just feel like back in the day when you'd get Coldsnap for no reason, or whatever else.

As fun as Innistrad draft is, with a big 3rd set coming, I look forward to this happening more often or even regularly now.

Unless the block is designed like Ravnica, it's nice to get a big mix-up in draft sooner rather than later.

Agreed. Drafts are usually much better when its ABC instead of AAB.

Honestly, Innistrad is so good to draft, I wouldn't mind drafting it for a full year.

Yeah, 3rd set is big but I think I am going to enjoy Dark Ascension more with new Flashback stuff.

While checking the Bertoncini link, did anyone else notice that "Daryl Manibusan" is also suspended?

That's our prolific impersonator, who almost got me as a third party, nderdog@hotmail.com (not our nderdog)...

I know he ripped a lot of members here.

I'm all for that. Hopefully he gets some mail fraud and other crimes to go with it, and some serious consequences as well.

It is great to see Bertoncini get suspended, but I wonder why they waited until now to do it? Drew Levin says he turned this over to the DCI a good time ago, but he still got the chance to win $12K+ this weekend and make the SCG circuit a giant paradise for cheating.

DCI is slow... but oh well, the end result was justice served.

A few times. I ran lilly at states when the format was nothing but solar flare and wolf run. I was playing U/B and playing lilly to deal with thrun and other lilianas. I recall using her ultimate against BUG pod and letting him keep his land or his 3 creatures. He kept his 3 creatures, I killed them... that was that. I also incorrectly used it against mono black infect. I used the ultimate and put contagion clasp in one pile and everything else in the other. I had to get rid of it or die to it. I ended up losing because he had enough mana to play skittles, pay for mana leak, and give it haste... all the turn before he was going to die

Since states I've been running solar flare and I can't recall using the ultimate. My typical use is having them sac a dude then she dies. Second would be pitching oring or image so I can cast a titan. The best use is just as a threat, I'll play her and use no abilities, it sure confuses my opponents.
