That's the reason I love Planeswalkers, bad players will go out of their way to kill them if they think they will get close to Ultimate, regardless of whether or not using it is even practical or worthwhile....

It's like having a turn after turn Fog, that doesn't cost anything, the amount of hate they get is just...well nice...

I'm not quite up on the facts, but if he qualified for the Invitational by winning something (and not one of the other possible methods of qualifying), that just creates the possibility that he cheated to even qualify for the event, which is the only way I'd say it should be okay to take away his prize. Otherwise, it seems a bit unfair to change the rules and apply them retroactively.
