It's fine if you're interested in those kinds of things for the fun factor, really. The only thing keeping me from buying a few without sleeping over the decision is the lack of indication that any of the repacks might actually be "awesome." I mean, the guaranteed artist proof and misprint sounds interesting enough, but it'd make a pretty big difference to me if, as just one example, the "English foil rare" is pretty much guaranteed to be bulk, or if there's the possibility of, say, a Snapcaster or Bribery, or if the artist proof has a chance of being a really old one (CE!), etc. In other words, a booster pack at least has the chance of containing a $40 foil mythic, however crappy the usual expected value of one might be.

You're guaranteed to get cool cards, but there aren't going to be super-valuable ones. It's more of a grab-bag than a repack, but I thought this was more amusing. I only have one artist's worth of proofs, so that does limit it a little, but otherwise it's a pretty wide range of stuff.__________________

I'm done with SCG if they don't do SOMETHING about this. I don't want a thief boasting up his wins while ignoring his past. This guy is Dombek, not Aladdin.

I think it's cute when I'm a failure, or jealous nerd, or pathetic for not stealing from these people that keep commenting on how I'm trying to strip his win. He earned the win, but he also earned a check that he could use to give back to everyone he stole from, but he's too cool bro. Too cool!

Please let me know what Star City should be ashamed about? I am not sticking up for them, but I am not sure what you want them to do? The kid is an absolute scumbag, I agree, but are they gonna start screening who plays? I am sure there are people who have stolen/raped/assaulted/lied/cheated/sold.drugs.to.kids/ect that have top 8'd or even won in the past, we just don't know about it. Again I agree he should be ridiculed like the scumbag he is until he repays everyone who he ripped off or quits altogether, but I am not sure it is Star City's responsibility to make that happen. Highly disagreed. Starcity promotes magic the gathering tournaments. Theft leads to less players -> less money. Also if a player cheated in other non-SCG events, SCG would entertain the possibility of a ban. Not saying Jeremy cheated, but g1 terminus was cute.

There were three cases of theft at SCG Worcester on Saturday, but that sure didn't stop people from coming in droves on Sunday. And Starcity has no real jurisdiction to ban someone for something that happened on an obscure trading website half a decade ago. Congress just wasted two trials and taxpayers money to expose Roger Clemens for something they had no involvement in and the only one who came out looking like an ass was Congress.
