C'mon....if you're smart enough not to crack type 2 packs for fun, you're definitely smart enough not to crack $10 "grab-bags"/re-packs (2x price of reg. packs) with nothing but leftovers from inventory.

You're guaranteed to get absolutely nothing in terms of the cards actually make cracking packs worthwhile (Mythics, trade-bait worthy rares). The cards mostly aren't even NM or standard legal. "Cool cards but not super-valuable ones" just seems like the usual "Good for EDH but not for constructed." Neat, but no value.

If you just look in your binder, you're guaranteed to find 5 rares and a promo. I think it's silly in the rules that mods get to sell re-packs especially when it seems like all will be >$10 in value. '

TBO, I think your bias to the situation is clouding your opinion on what SCG can/should do. I'm in full agreement that he should make restitution, and maybe SCG could put a word in to him for that, but they can't make him do it. This seems to me like a "players policing players" situation because there's no good, advisable way for any governing body to get involved.

Not really. This expectation that Starcity is required to be morally upright is just as ridiculous as sports journalists/congressmen expecting pro-athletes to be morally upright. Especially since they are trying to turn a profit. Moral and ethics are already out the window at that point.

And thinking that his past ripping is going to cause Starcity to lose money is quite a stretch, especially since people are completely brushing off those accusations on their own website. Look how much money the NFL lost reinstating Michael Vick.

Probably, since he just got a ton of money wouldn't the time to resolve all of this be now?

A few people are turning it down, but not enough that it won't be a hot issue for a bit.
