Not that I'm aware of, I know plenty of places that use it as a place holder for the event runner, even though they are not official judges. EDIT: I love people posting to buy 20$+ cards for less then a 4th of their value.... __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

Do you mean a DCI certified judge? I never got certification, but I was head judge for my lgs for about five years. I never claimed to be certified, but I also let people assume I was unless they brought it up to me, in which case I told them I wasn't. Really there's no point in me getting it because I don't have the time or money to travel. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

Every sanctioned event has a Head Judge, but they don't have to be a certified magic judge to be the judge. The only issue is if someone is saying they are a Certified judge and are head judging Competitive level events, like a GPT. Those require a L1+. If this is the case wizards would want to know.

long enough to email the other party the DC number, then chuck it. You have record in your sent email, they have record in their received email, should be all you'll ever need.

Yeah, red uses tapping as a way to get creatures past defenders, white uses it defensively and (less often than red) offensively but, like red, primarily against creatures, and blue taps all sorts of things all the time just because it can I think it backs up why it doesn't need a B in the mana cost.

I disagree. I think you should keep them through the completion of your deals, just in case. It's just a little piece of paper, anyway. It isn't going to take up that much space. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

are you disagreeing just for the sake of disagreeing, or is there some logical reason why? I mean, my DC packages generate an email receipt that I copy and paste the tracking number from, then promptly delete.

I keep things until they are delivered, trade completed, refs exchanged. Just in case.

You do whatever you want. There is zero reason not to keep your bases completely covered. What's the harm in keeping a small slip of paper until you know there were no problems with the deal? __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*FB*Logout- MM is a copycat! (So am I)*CKGB

Until either the package has been confirmed to have arrived by the other party, or you haven't heard from them for over 30 days (45 is probably safer just in case). Once one of those things has happened, you're safe from BTA issues. Get rid of it any sooner, and it's that much less evidence that you have available in case something goes wrong. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. For USPS with delivery confirmation - if the mailcarrier deliver's it to the wrong house it would still show up as "delivered" in the system? Stuff for my neighbors (mostly junkmail, but I have gotten a package) shows up at my house multiple times per year.

I don't really feel like pricing out 100 different cards in four languages. Anybody looking to buy the junky p3k non-rares or fill in a set? I have piles of the stuff still.

I counted up my DC slips and I have 180 of them and about 40 insurance ones from last year. Plus every recipit. I'm thinking I'll just put them all in an envlope and keep them in the magic room till next year. I'm not worried so much about a BTA from Motl as I can't really seem to breakin to tradeing on here but I've been doing very well on a few other sites.

Correct, though junkmail is sorted differently than DC'ed packages at the post office, so it's very unlikely that such a thing would happen.

I'd be interested in the English ones. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Report rules violations. Remember the Auctions Board!

I just checked a couple of prices and it seems that a lot of rares are worth the price of a booster pack (assuming you got the booster back when it came out)

Not sure when it happened, but I'm sure it's similar to the factors that have helped keep the prices of a few Coldsnap cards up. Such as, it was a summer set and probably not heavily opened. Also, aside from the lieges and the lands, you also have a number of cards that are popular in casual/EDH and a few that see play in Legacy/Modern. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. God I had so much garbage from that set (well, I guess not garbage by today's standard). Another epic fail
