Why do you say that? I mean, ignoring all the things about Scars lands that zeckk said, because that's kinda not provable. But about the shock lands not going up.

He's not, at least not entirely. Most things with value rise a bit after they stop being drafted. I doubt shocks will rise until after rotation. But even then, it probably won't be more than a few bucks, supposedly RTR is the best selling set and Gatecrash is expected to sell well too, so shocks aren't as rare as they were the first time around. But they'll rise. As does pretty much everything with at least decent value after its out of print. EDIT: Took out stuff about Dragon's Maze and M14. Totally forgot that shocks don't cycle until after M15... I need coffee. __________________ ლ(ಠ益ಠლ This signature belongs to fedorables. Please return if found.

He is wrong on the drop a bit and stabilize part, and wrong about the Scars lands. They might drop, but they will do the same thing Scars lands are doing, rise right back up. How bout filter lands? They dropped after rotation and look where they are now..

Are you serious? How many filter lands are played in modern? But I guess I wandered into a discussion where "you're wrong" is sufficient without any evidence whatsoever to back up your opinion. It's a fact that SOM fastlands are used in a wide number of competitive modern lists. It's also a fact that the SOM fastlands experienced the price path that I spoke about earlier. The SOM fastlands are the closest analog to the RTR shocks, hence my reference to them. This isn't rocket science. http://blacklotusproject.com/cards/Scars+of+Mirrodin/Copperline+Gorge/ http://blacklotusproject.com/cards/Scars+of+Mirrodin/Seachrome+Coast/ I really wish the chart could go back 1 year further, but the earliest data starts at Jan 2011. Notice the spikes during the height of modern season. But go ahead spouting ignorance, internet stranger.

ATM withdraw limit is $400 and they do follow that. Other then ATMs, you can get the money out of your account as fast as you want as far as I know.

If you are so smart, what was the path of the Filter lands?
Also, SOM and RTR lands are nothing a like since RTR has been reprinted, and SOM was printed once, like the filters.

Modern is a fledgling baby of a format. Those filter lands will see play sooner or later because they're good lands. I still see the filters as a great EDH option too because you can make 2 red with a Fire-Lit Thicket without access to a mountain. Really helps on a 3-5 color deck, with a bunch of color intensive things. That sort of thing seems to happen to me in a lot of my decks. I just wanna play turn 3 RR1 guy, and turn 4 Grave Pact, ya know? Gotta have a Cairns for that . quote: Originally posted by stu55: He is wrong on the drop a bit and stabilize part, and wrong about the Scars lands. They might drop, but they will do the same thing Scars lands are doing, rise right back up. I guess I read Zeckk's post wrong then. I thought that's what he was saying.

You just don't like reading, do you? The difference between SOM fastlands/RTR shocklands and filter lands - Shocks and fastlands are played in modern, filterlands aren't (even jund is running fewer twilight mires once they started playing with lingering souls). But let's look at twilight mire, since it's going to prove my point even further. http://blacklotusproject.com/cards/Eventide/Twilight+Mire/ Notice the SAME TREND in terms of price spiking at the beginning of each modern season (january). It's currently at an all-time high, though I imagine some of that price jump has to do with a lot of people acquiring the stock jund list in preparation for local PTQs.

We're starting to do Standard Two-Headed Giant once a month for FNM. Anyone have some good decks that play well together for such a format?__________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Why do more people not get this. If anything the only comparison for RtR lands that isn't a dual (To old) are Pain Lands, but even then they are also old enough to predate a lot of the current pricing trends. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

Do you get to pick your parntner? I wouldn't recommend playing double-aggro as it can often burn-out even faster than in typical 1v1.

Actually, i WOULD recommend double aggro, because in 2HG, the opp team only has 30 life. This means each aggro deck only has to do 15 points of damage instead of the normal 20. Much easier feat to accomplish. __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? Any card that says each player or each opponent is sweet because they do double damage/effect. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario 2nd in posts in Canada 10th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

Coordinated mill strategy. Only have to mill one guy. Though we will see if that's possible with gatecrash dimir stuff.

Guttersnipe is pretty good in 2hg. We do them like once a month and every team seems to have one player running them.

Yes, we played last night as a random pairing just because I anticipated a lot of drop-ins, which was apparently a good call, but we've already started the sign-ups for next month, so if people wait until the last minute it's their own fault. I can confirm Guttersnipe is rough, he handed us our only loss last night. Mill is a possibility, but not sure if that's the direction I want to go. I like aggro, and was really bummed that I couldn't play my Jund deck last night because I got paired with someone who had too many shared lands, so I had to switch to Nderwife's tokens deck. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me.
