I agree with this statement. The three shops I go to in the area have confirmed that the price will likely not drop below $250 for these. One shop was looking to hold one for me but I said "no thanks" and picked up their last two Innistrad boxes instead. MM is not spoiled and is completely reprints. Granted, it is a limited run product and has some potential but I think anything over $200 will make it difficult to garner a decent return on money invested. edit: Forgot to mention the obvious, that the hype is unbelievable for this set. I can't see it actually living up to the hype at this point.

I was on the fence and sort of felt the same way but it has been so limited, I can see it maybe going the other way. I hope I can at least break even, I just like to collect the cards and supplement my hobby. I'm not looking to make a ton. I just don't want to be stuck with a bunch of worthless reprints. I do remember Chronicles and have the multiple sets to prove it!

Dark Confident was previewed as a mythic as well, saw on tcg today

I don't know if you guys realize this, and apologies because it's kind of a buzz kill, but... if Goyf and Confidant are both mythic. Their frequency in a pack is 1:120. So that's like 1 in every 5 boxes of this limited print run set.

Yes, but I guess it would be possible that they are more playable mythics in MM than in other sets.

This crazy train has already jumped the tracks. Preorders sold out and only 3 cards spoiled... Also the confidant art is horrible. Skrillex infused dung.

It is the library of Alexandria right?COB will be unplayed as usual. I mean fetches, shocks, filters, inn lands, core set lands. Bob and goyf are nice to see but the infrequency of them still keeps their value. Since I used to (4 years ago) have 4 jap foil bobs and 4 jap foil goyfs when they were far cheaper, I'd be nice to get my hands on some. Also with some cards switching rarity I expect remand or spell snare to go to rare.

It does look very close to the 7th and 8th edition art for city of brass. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=45496Library of Alexandria wouldn't make much sense as it isn't in modern.

I found some on the cheapsies at an online retailer. Super hope they actually arrive so I can exchange them for some moneys. The pre-order prices seem to be dropping though on Ebay.

Yeah, I am not feeling the cross-dressing art either. I hate bad art on good cards almost as much as I hate good art on bad cards. I really hope they start spoiling the common/uncommons as well. It's kinda crazy how there are 75 spoiled M14 cards already and only 4 cards for this

I've been watching ebay boxes trend down. Feel stores are getting more then they expected. And even at full retail i tink some poeple are realizing how expensive it is to buy a lot of this. That being said, if you look at the trend towards gamblers in sports cards (100$+ cases/boxes with 1 pack in them), and the older, more disposable income of magic players, I can see premium items like this doing very well for wizards. Say they killed the reserve list and put out a limited run $500 Foil dula land set. Pretty sure the would sell just fine. As for me i still want a box, but i may settle with just opening what i can when i can (GP vegas will help with this)

I was able to pre-order this at much less than the current eBay price and I did so purely for speculative purposes. My only question is do I flip it immediately or hold it while Wizards continues growing the format?quote:

This, From the Vault, Commander's Arsenal ... all these products have basically sold out instantly. That's good for Wizards, but it's even better for retailers because they can charge over MSRP.
