Does anyone know much about the location that GP Detroit is taking place?I'm thinking about going since its not a far drive but i'm hesitant. __________________

What do you want to know? I was there last year for the scg open and will be there for the gp.

So my opponent said he's fine with me playing any kind of deck but is mad that "you didn't even let me do anything." To note, it wasn't my deck, but he knew whose deck it was. EDIT: I didn't even know how the deck was supposed to work and I don't even remember the commander because I never used it.

If someone says they are okay if you play competitively and then complain when you are competitive, that is their fault not yours.But depending upon whom you ask, there's competitive and there's COMPETITIVE.

Not sure about hotel distances, but I believe there was a couple within a few blocks. Its down by joe louis arena and the area isn't bad there that I saw. Here's the cobo center webpage and u can see what the surrounding area looks like a little in the pics.

If you had TES, elves, and the rock fully built, what would you do if you sold a bunch of cards and came into $250-$300. The options I've come up with are:-4 force of will (I have none)
-3-4 tropical island or tundra (I have none)
-2 underground sea (completes playset)
-4 entombs, 4 shallow grave, 2 goryo's veangence, 2 griselbrand, 1 emrakul, 1 tundra (build tinfins)
-grim tutor and either tropical island or underground sea (build ANT) Any thoughts on the best option? I'm kind of torn.

I'd go for the Forces or dual lands. Those cards are almost guaranteed to go up over time and are highly sought after, meaning they would be easier to sell if you find yourself needing cash again. As an exclusive EDH player playsets no longer interest me, so I'd buy a variety of cards if I were in your position.

Forces or seas. Ideally both, since that opens you up to quite a lot of deck options.

signets, search for tomorrow would also work. as would any 1 or 2drop mana dorks. like, you can have upwards of 20 1/2 mana ramp spells if you want, very easily. you would also have a terrible deck, but that's your call.

I know that I don't need 20 accelerants to play a 4cc card on turn 3. That's why I'm not bothering with crappy cards or having too many dead ramp cards, and have opted for the 2cc rampant growth tactic. I've been fine with just playing the ones that I've listed and Sol Ring/Mana Crypt/Signet/Ancient Tomb/Untaidake. However, I plan on taking out Sol Ring and Mana Crypt. After initially missing Into the North, I figured that I might be missing another. I had no idea that Three Visits existed. I will definitely be looking at that card when I take out Sol Ring and Mana Crypt.

If you're an eBay seller with the phrase 'message me for scans or more info,' doesn't it make sense that you should be willing to send me a scan of 4 cards? I messaged this guy 3 days ago and have gotten no response. He has 17 auctions up- enough to pay attention, but not enough to be overwhelming. Does he really not want my $260? I just want to confirm condition./End rant.
