He was seeing a lot of play/coverage at the first large standard event after rotation. He likely deserves a high price tag. Also, I just opened an Arid Mesa from BFZ. One edge is fairly rough with lots of silver showing. Anyone have any luck w/ wotc replacing cards opened damaged?

I'd guess they'll bottom out in about 2 months. Few things to consider: 1) They're still the hot ticket and everyone's buying and dumping. Could be a good time to buy, but I think they'll stabilize a little lower, so I'd wait it out. 2) Modern staples generally hit the bottom of their yearly cycle around now. 3) Take the above two points, and factor in that Christmas really isn't that far away. People spend less on themselves before then, so singles tend not to move as much. Conversely, after Christmas, kids have present money to burn.

Wow! This should be much bigger news than it seems to be. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonSale Thread

A follow up to this on Twitter was that seating will be random for the registration process.Since I've never done a limited event at competitive REL, does the deck registration seating affect your R1 opponent? It would be nice to not have a 50/50 shot of playing your brother.

At a large tournament, I don't think it matters. At smaller tournaments, it also shouldn't matter but I've seen some ridiculous crap. I think the seating "fix" is aimed at smaller tournaments. EDIT: In general, the idea is that you shouldn't play anyone seated next to you since they can see what you're building. Often times, at Regular REL you'll even see folks soliciting/offering advice from folks next to or across from them so it's a little awkward to find out that one of them will be your first round opponent. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. Seating has typically been alphabetically, open an reg cards, then a deck swap. With this new process, I would have a high chance on knowing who is registering my cards and whos cards I'm registering if it was alphabetically thus leading to potential cheating. The randomized seating would help to prevent this. The pairings are random, so while there is a small chance you'll play the person who registered your cards, its unlikely.

Also on that small chance won't you also have registered their cards as well, giving you both the same advantage anyway witch equals out.

On the topic of Expeditions, what will the next set contain? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the next set would have 20 Expeditions.

Yah, 20 expeditions in the next set have been confirmed. As for what they are its pure speculation. Anything I've speculated makes them fall very flat compared to BFZ. The first 5 should be the enemy battle lands (is what what we're supposed to call these?) assuming those get printed which I think is a high probability. This would leave room for a 5 card cycle and 10 card. Can you think of any worth while? I can't... The 10 cards could be man lands or filter lands, both would be very underwhelming. The 5 cards have the best potential with the future sight cycle giving a full art grove of the burnwillows and a horizon canopy, but that seems like an odd "cycle" to print.

I expect: 5 enemy manlands from BFZ block 5 ally manlands from ZendikarI'm hoping: 5 duals from scars of mirrodin 5 duals from innistrad But the grab-bag of good lands could also work. I expect anything they print to already be in modern.

5 enemy battle lands/ 5 scars fast lands / 10 man landsseems like the most likely option after giving it some thought. I don't like it ><

I am expecting the Shadowmoor-Eventide duals. They are due for a reprint.

I think it will be the filters and the manlands. Can't think of anything else that would even compare to the fetches/shocks of this set

What's the best way to get stock photos to use for selling cards on eBay (where condition isn't a concern)? In the past I've done searches for cards and downloaded images one at a time (and then sometimes have to resize them to meet ebay requirements), but seems like there should be a better way. Seems like selling here is just about dead (no surprise really, but when I last did it about 6 months ago I had at least some success). I have perhaps 1,000 unique cards to sell, maybe could open a store on TCG but haven't done that before.

I would suggest TCG over Ebay personally. I have had good success with it. Takes a bit to get started because you can only initially list 10 items until you make 4 sales, but it scales up pretty quickly.Stuff sells hella fast. The commissions are around the same as Ebay, and I have found the prices you can get are a little higher than Ebay. You don't ever have to waste forever making listings for everything, and getting images. That's all done for you. There's also no worries about writing as many disclaimers as you can think of to cover your ass from getting scammed by Ebay's rube goldberg customer policies. I started doing it last May, and have not looked back. It's super good.

Sigh, as always, it's "US Only". Cardshark has been promising to open itself to foreign barbarians since 2003.

They just recently rolled out a bunch of options for US sellers to other countries, so I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually brought Canadian sellers into the mix. It seems like the need is there, and it could be a real boon for you guys if they do.

Fell to the temptation, and cracked a box of BFZ....two duals, one dragonmsaster, one foil dragonmaster, and ****. Lots and lots of ****. All of the terrible blue rares. Two Ob emblems, one Kiora emblem..... Why, why did I do that

Because you can't resist the urge. It's ok. The first step to recovery is always the hardest, but I have faith.__________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonSale Thread

Hopefully. Ebay is a drag with all of the scammers. And the exchange rate is now such that I get 40% more money than I would otherwise.

I talked to my buddy and he said it wasn't a thing anybody can do, but you can do it if you sync up with Crystal Commerce and have your own website. A few Canadian dealers are doing that now. He didn't seem to think they were gonna open it up for just any Canadian sellers in the near future though.
