Yea, I kept a list....usually PGB was very active. Last year I dunno, he went awol and frankly I don't know if anyone has heard from him or not since.

Since I want to start drafting August 1st, I need to know how all is being franchised or not. Teams returning from last year please lmk by friday.

The Russian Rockets have announced that they will not be retaining the services of Ilya Kovalchuk, Ilya Bryzgalov or the honory yet enigmatic Ilya Heatley. :PIn short, I would rather take my chances on the draft lottery than franchise one of the underachievers I had on the roster last year.

Ok...I got a response from everyone in some form or another. Here is the draft order, new comers stick with us for the first 3 rounds, it can get a little confusing.1. Chiodos
2. lotlizard
3. WeedIan
4. ogre
5. Bernek77
6. Shron Von Drago
7. Stab107
8. Thanos * Alex Ovechkin
9. mattw * Steven Stamkos
10. Tiff * Henrik Sedin
11. daner * Sidney Crosby
12. Omega * Daniel Sedin
So the first round is 1-7, then the people who franchised. Second round is 7-1 then 8-12. Round 3 goes 1-12, then it snakes back and forth from that point on in the draft.

We do a MOTL board draft. Each team will get 24 hours to make their pick when it's their turn to pick, if you are late you can be skipped but you may make your pick whenevr you return. If you need a better example look at the Football draft we have going.

Looking forward to the draft! edit: If for some reason you will be out of town or unable to get to the board to make a pick, you can email the pick to someone you trust (or to daner  ) and they will make the selection for you. edit 2: Just so everyone knows, are we using the same scoring system (14 categories) as last year, daner? All drafters should be aware of that so they can prepare properly.

Yup....you got it right.yes...we are using the same scoring, and off the top of my head it goes G,A,+/-, PIM, SOG, PPG, PPA, SHP,GWG for forwards and W, GAA, Save%, Saves, SO for goalies.

Well I was planning on starting this August 1st. If everyone is ready we can start ASAP, however I'll be pre-occupid this weekend so updating the draft board might take me some time. If we wait until Sunday I'll be free. EDIT: oh yeah, here are the roster breakdowns...
2xC 2xRW 2xLW 4xD 2xG for starting roster, and 6 Bench, so that gives us 18 rounds of drafting plus each team will have 2xIR spots for injured players. Daily roster changes, max 4 moves per week(add/drop/trades).

You type in who you want to draft when it's your turn...I'm assuming Jesse will tell you. Then we take all the players we drafted and I imput them into the league on yahoo. Then you can make roster changes and so on an so forth. Yahoo will run our league once it starts, we just do the drafting on MOTL.

For how close our Finals matchup really was I'd have loved to played you with a fully healthy Sidney Crosby, Patrick Sharp and Mike Green. Yea....just think about that for a second. Damn injuries.

Semi-final between daner and I was the closest game of the playoffs that I recall. Daner squeeked out the win but Omega's team was pretty stacked (and injury free for the most part). At any rate, I'll be doing my best not to let him repeat!  I'm in favor of starting the draft on August 1st as originally planned. I still have more research to do.

Not yet, unfortunately. The positions might also not be as expected. Remember last year some players got adjusted and others didn't. When Kovalchuk and Heatley got their RW/LW status it was a bit of a bonus in terms of flexibility. quote:

We can just wait until monday as we are not in a big rush and like Stab I'll be super busy this weekend. Gotta work later and it's very hetic for me from then on.
