Ok....please stop posting pics until I actually get a draft board thread up. tyIf you are going to be away for a period of time you can send me a list, or ogre a list...anyone really of who you want as your next pick and they can pick for you. Thank you and a big heads up for what Chiodos did....even though it would have been the same to just pm me the pick. I guess we could have kept it secret.

Pick made, kinda shaky on it, but at the end of the day St Louis plays his heart out. Lets see what happens..02, Jesse __________________ "call the hospital now" "I'm gonna kill you" inspiring words from Mino Fazio

If he was still available when it was my turn, I'd have taken him. Marty is a dependable workhorse. I'm in tough with my back-to-back picks, I think.

He's a monster SOG guy and I think playing with Rick Nash will just improve him this year, that being said if he was just a C this year i wouldn't have drafted him this early. I am surprised Zach Parise goes this early after that knee injury. I wouldn't touch him this early.

Meh...Malkin went before Parise. Parise did make it back last year and played a few games. A knee injury in hockey isn't nearly as bad as lets say a RB in football suffering one. I think both guys will be fine. I'm just suprised of the picks so far because there are two guys(one specifically) who I'd have guessed would be gone already.

I'm pretty surprised by the picks thus far. I feel you could've waited a round or 2 for Carter. Carter really only had one great season and on a powerhouse team. I'm not so sure he'll replicate that on the CBJ. Iginla and the Flames overall seem to be on the decline. I think i know at least 1 of the 2 names you're thinking of Daner. We'll see what happens.

I think Ian's choice is a very solid bet. The biggest surprise to me so far is a goalie going in the first round. Didn't see that last year. Not criticizing because every manager will build their team differently.I'll talk about why I made my choices a little later in the draft as long as daner and chiodos come clean on who they think should be gone by now . I'm up for a bit of draft strategy discussion but I feel it's a bit early to be divesting secrat strategeries!

I applaud Ray's pick. FINALLY soneone took Kesler. Yes, I know he's out 10-12 weeks but we have already seen two people get drafted who are coming off major injuries and I even kept Crosby so really 3(Crosby, Malkin, Parise). For Kesler to last that long is amazing to me. I know he's a center but guys with 40 goals and +30 ratings don't fall from the sky.EDIT: IMO every pick after Perry was WRONG because you passed on Kesler.

Kesler was tempting, I'll admit, but coming off an injury, hitting 40 goals for only the first time in his career and being a pure center worked against him in my mind. He's been around 70 points the past two seasons but his +/- spiked last year. He had a good year for sure, but I have my doubts whether or not he can do it again. It's definitely not a bad pick but I can see people easily disagreeing on who should be available and who should be gone. After all, beyond the 5 that were franchised every pick is pretty debatable.

I knew Kesler would miss some time even before his surgery was announced, it was hard for me to pass on Carter, since for 1 he had 36 goals last year, his role on Columbus will be a bit increased, and his SOG total was much higher than Kesler. I had both in a keeper league and chose Carter over him there as well. C is much deeper than either wing positions, that being said if Carter was C only like previous years i wouldn't be picking him this early. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

How do you know for sure that Carter will be both C and LW? When I look on Yahoo Fantasy Hockey there are no players listed as dual position. I can't even see what positions they played last year, just their scoring stats. With a new team would his status not change? Kovalchuk got made into a dual winger based simply on rumor last year and while that was beneficial for me it was rather arbitrary on Yahoo's part.

He's using lastyear. Carter played wing last year more than center so if they set him single position he'll be Wing only and then become center if he plays mostly center in Colombus. All of this stuff will be taken from what they played last year. I know for baseball you can get a position by appearing 10 times at that position or starting 5 times. Which is how guys like Hideki Matsui get OF instead of just being UTL only. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

Stop posting on the goddamn draftboard! Only use it for picks and trades. We only have 300 posts then it will close. DO NOT WASTE MY SPACE! This is why we have this other thread to talk about things.

When would Dane's pick be up?His pick is now mine and I'm not 100% on when I could make it. Figure tomorrow morning would be somewhat correct. Just want to keep the draft moving so figured it best to ask. Jesse __________________ "call the hospital now" "I'm gonna kill you" inspiring words from Mino Fazio

Jesse you are up after Tiff...because that is when I would draft. Matt is harder to get ahold of during the weekends, I sent him an email no response. Good time to mention if you are not gonna be around and it's close to your pick you can always send your pick to someone via pm or email and they can make it for you if you're not around. Also I know a few people have my phone #, if you'd like it just ask....this makes it easy for me to text or call you or vice versa when you're up.
