Topic: MOTL Fantasy Hockey 2011-12 The League

I'm gonna try and start drafting sometime in early August. Most people will be returning members, and this is a franchise league.I'm pretty sure most people know the rules....and I'll put this up and try ot get each member to return. Please post if you want back in or not from last year, and if you want to franchise anyone.

As the reigning President's Trophy winner, the Russian Rockets are definitely up for it again this year! Not sure that anyone on my team is worth the risk of franchising. Maybe Kovalchuk but definitely not Heatley. I'm definitely open to advice/suggestions there. I don't think Staal is worth franchising as a C only.Anyway, I hope we get the active folks from last year involved. Thanks for volunteering to run the league again, daner.

Kovalchuk looked like a great player to Franchise last year and just stunk to high heaven. In your case I'd probably not keep anybody, you'll pick before anyone who franchises a player in the 1st 3 rounds. If you really wanted Kovlachuk and Heatly I'm sure they'd be available once it's your turn to draft anyhow.

DS Octopi is back in, looking to do better than an early playoff exit this year. I would probably have to franchise my boy Stamkos.

Always count me in ^^Not sure if its worth to Franchise, as I'll miss the first round of pick -.- But I guess I can't go wrong with the other twin Daniel right? Just to clarify, I'm picking last right? So say we are 10, I'm skipping 1st round (if I franchise someone) and picking last on the 2nd?
So say 1-5 don't franchise and 6-10 franchise... First round : 1 2 3 4 5
Second round : 5 4 3 2 1 6 7 8 9 10
Thirs round 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 is that correct? Robert

Yup. Round three is still non-franchise teams pick first. 4th round it goes to normal drafting.

dane, did you keep a list of the people who quit early/mid-way through last years league? Wasn't PGB one of the absent managers? I don't want a repeat of last year where some weeks teams would get a free 28 points from an inactive matchup.

Hey,Got hold of my buddy and he wants to join. Gonna get him registered ASAP and hopefully we can get started. He's familiar w/ how the league functions so should be good. All I got for now,
