He said the fact that for Americans getting on an inter-state flight is like getting on a bus has been exploited by terrorsits. Apparently in America there are big differences in security between international and domestic flights.

(we recieved many european planes that were going to the US and are trying to find places for the 5000 or so passengers to stay and be relatively comfortable). There is no need for any retaliation at this point. CNN just reported that it could be part of an internal Afghanistan struggle between the government and rebels. The retaliation would probably have to be so extreme as to send a signal that those terrorist attacks are not to be attempted again.
