Bush's statement is typical for him.

"all the folks blahblahblah...pray for the families...god bless...hunt down...punish...AMERICA...AMERICANS..."

He's acting as if he would be able to do something really stupid, IMO. However, I don't think it will come to that.

Uuuummmm......a lot of people started threads about this topic. See all the ones that have been closed? Just because yours was the one that stayed open doesn't mean you should be proud just because you started this thread. That's ridiculous.

Has anyone thought about the pilots of the planes?
I mean....who would let his plane crash in an urban area.....even with a gun against his head..............

Probably hardly anyone...but the terrorists can know how to fly planes themselves, shoot the pilots, and take over...

My guess is that the terrorists killed the pilots, and then had someone who was qualified to fly the jet fly it into the building. I agree, I don't think any U.S. pilot would willingly fly a jet into the World Trade Center.

Believe me, no nukes will be used.
Nukes will do nothing but harm the United States´international reputation.

Who did this? This is a political statement, which not many "organizations" could have any interrest in this:

1.Hamas -but they say its not them
2. Bin Laden -I believe he said that too.
3. Saddam Hussein -the obvious candidate. After being bombed every once in a while for years, he will show, that he can hit back excactly where he wants.

Other potential terrorrist-states doesnt have any interrest in this.
PLO -have interrest in a good relationship to the US
North-Korea -are softening up a little I think
Taliban -spends all their time rearranging their own country.
Serbia? -no, not anymore...

my condolences to the american people.

sorry for my bad english

Youri, this is not the moment to blame Bush... It was not his fault and now he is the only one who can do something to it. Bad things or good things, but at least something.

And I saw that clip too where people were celebrating this accident. This is just too horrible to be true, thousands of people suffer and some people are just partying because of it?

I suspect the planes that seemed to miss their targets did so becuase of heroic efforts of the crew to disrupt the terrorists agenda.

Why U.S. pilot? I mean would any sane person do it? not only Americans have any social feeling. Surely patriotism doesn't mean anything in these cases. It's just common sense.

True, that really sickens me. But you have to realize that a lot of people in the Middle East have such a strong hatred for the U.S. that they celebrate when the slightest thing goes wrong. A lot of people (namely terrorits) devote their entire lives to finding someway to bring the United States down, with attacks like this, bomb threats, etc.

For one, I'm not blaming Bush here, I'm just worried that he might do wrong things, such as overreact (of course not in such an exaggerated way) and start firing at whoever he thinks is guilty. I mean, he did say he was going to take appropriate measures referring to the people who did this stuff...meaning something nasty.

As fo the second thing, I had already posted my thoughts on that one: I don't think the people are celebrating because the USA is being bombed, but because this might be of great significance for the progress in their goal: to be an independent nation. Also, most of the people celebrating on the streets were kids (I saw that on a Dutch TV channel, Nederland 2 FYI ), and why would kids have something direct against Americans?

I just said "American Pilots" because those were the people flying the planes. Sure, people outside of the United States have strong feeling of patriotism. I just used U.S. pilots because they were the ones involved in this particular incident.

All anti-bioterrorrism teams in the U.S.A have been brought to immediate actability.

Disney closes it's parks in the U.S.A.

etc. etc.

When is this going to stop?!?
I mean; another action?!? Very unlikely to me.

When is anyone serious going to claim this action anyway?

He has already said he would do that in his official statement (I'm quite sure you can see it somewhere on TV right now).

I think that would be mentioned in the news, if it happened, considering USA's pride (no offense ).

wow, what a sad day. we live in a world where freedom is a taret of violence.
but for some reason, this reminds me of "Wag the Dog". Bush's reign has been very boring and they (the public) need something to talk about. but if it really is an act of terrorist, they what are they trying to say?
"Look we can fly planes into buildings!?"
btw: sorry if i sound like a jerk.

personally, i hope that "1984" will become a reality. The the wrold will be in a some-what peace like state.
For those who haven't read "1984" let's just say Big Brother is Watching
