irsih31 Member	posted September 11, 2001 10:10 AM The states cannot fire on..wherever on the Middle East, if they do, they will have bout 20x the same thing coming back at them. The States has tentitive treaties signed with all the other countries that own Missles like these, they all signed it. But if the States fired, they would in essence be breaking that treaty, you break it, your going to have alot of **ed off countries declaring war on you. They can ready them, incase they are attacked, cuz thats the smart thing to do, but everything I am saying they already know, so they wont fire unless they absolutely have to, and if that happens, god help US ALL, cuz then no one is safe. rpitcher Member	posted September 11, 2001 10:12 AM Have some class people. A lot of us are bound to know someone who has been killed today. Obviously I don't condone actions such as those that occured today, but many of us North Americans can learn a lot from our fellow European and Asian MOTLers who might have a different perspective on the US and it's position in world politics. By mere geography, I side with the philosophy of American life, but it doesn't make "us" the centre of the Universe. Acts of war or terrorism will always be wrong in my mind, but many of us have a sheltered veiw as to why they happen. __________________ Are you a missing child? CogliostroII Member	posted September 11, 2001 10:13 AM Here in Germany all TV channels bring information on the status in US. It's unbelievable. We all feel for the total american population. This brutal terror act is in no relation to nothing. It's just so shocking. We hope that the number of dead people is as low as possible. I think the islam and their fanatical leaders are responsible for this terror act. We'll see how things will go on. I condole for the whole US population.

Ironhorse75 Member	posted September 11, 2001 10:18 AM Moderators I've been watching this since second hour and I checked for previous posts, but there were none, I kinda took a while to type my message because the pentagon had just started on fire and the second explosion after the second plane had hit went off and after I sent it I saw one was already up. Just wanted to clarify that. I live in the upper peninsula of Michigan and we have an airport that used to be used for military air crafts, I heard it was one of the few still open and might be used for planes that were still in flight to land.

I hope for the whole world that no nuclear weapon is armed out of hesitating actions in a time where chaos rules the state. In all european countries there is code red. All US consultations are strongly protcted by army and police because of the fear of new bomb massacres!!! Keep on beeing cool. No hesitating actions. My heart is on the side of all the dead persons. People really do care, and only some of them are scum. Bush will probably make a statement in a little bit of time, I am on the East Coast and it hits way to close to home. I cannot believe they are celebrating death. Prayers to everyone who lost someone or had someone inujured, I know someones dad was in the Pentagon when it was bombed, I cannot find the name now but you are in MY prayers and hopefully everyone elses. -Dan P.S., I made one of the most improtant and fastest filling posts on MOTL ever, I'll be proud once all this is done with.

Yes, I do believe that this was a planned (very well thought out) over a long period of time. I heard all the details that happened, first one building kamikazeed and then the second, the Pentagon hit hard and a supposed fourth plane smashed in between the Pentagon and the mall - the mall being bombed a few minutes before... then a plane crash in Camp David, then a supposed report of a car bomb in DC, all trading suspended on the commerce market, a planecrash south or east of Pittsburg where there was a report of a frantic woman making a 911 call from the bathroom minutes before it crashed, a new report of 4 planes missing and 50 that are still in the air trying to land, all airport security at top notch, people rushing to the Red Cross to donate blood. Here in Ohio, Cleveland is 40 minutes due north of me, at where all passengers are off the planes, and the airport being evacuated except for one plane that still has all it's passengers, where CIA, FBI, ATF, EMS, fire and police on standby where they secured it closest to the NASA building where they suspect a bomb is on the plane. I do not harbor any malice towards any Arabic or Palisinian person. It is the individual that ordered those people to go kamikazee on us, and the fact that by our date it shows 911 is nothing more than mere coincidence. Here all local police and fire and EMS are out on full alert, all political buildings are shut down, all schools (even colleges) are either being shut down or there's allowments for people to go home or be excused, there's panic and frustration, and sureal moments going on. I can't believe that I'd be alive and live to hear such things. I don't have a TV here but I suspect the worst when I go home to watch the news. Even in Disneyland they closed it down for fear that they might do more bombings especially in Florida. Anything of symbolic importance is under high security and being watched at. Odd thing I wonder about is why didn't they even blow up or run into the Statue of Liberty?? Now THAT would have struck a major blow to us as well. I feel such sorrow for those people that died and I wonder if the terrorists knew exactly where to hit. There was a documentary at where it was discussed that a new Pentagon be built since the present one was in major state of crumble and decay. Concrete may be strong but it was built in what... the 40's? People are in shock and the US is in perpetual scrutiny and lockdown as everyone is suspicious of everyone else and I suspect that it isn't over yet. Just now I heard from one of my drivers that there was police in downtown Akron trying to break up a fight between construction workers and some Arabic looking people. If this is how it is starting, I feel very sorry for the wrongfully accused and I feel very afraid for my well-being. Gas prices are going to go waaay up now! All sorts of chaos will still arise from such massive disasters that happened. As a conscientious objector if I was ordered to go to war I wouldn't fight. I fear that this may be the beginning of WWIII. The terrorists last attack was in 93 I think where they did bomb the World Trade Center causing such damage but this is the worst act of violence I've ever heard of in my life. What I wonder is how or why or did we provoke these people to act against us? They waited until we got lax in our defense. Strange thing is that nothing major happened in Clinton's time but Bush was a bit of a hothead when it came to fighting. Will the new Prez take matters into his own authoritative hands where we will have to send troups to battle again?! I hope that with all you kids, you will be calm, respect one another, and try to avoid any conflicts. This sort of thing makes people say things that should be left to themselves... not the stuff I hear now "Let's blow them up, let's bomb the crap out of them. Let's blast them so much that their country is no more than a crater and we take their money and oil." Please let's try to love one another and allow our differances to respectfully be appreciated. I just heard on the news that an Israeli ambassador in Washington DC made a speech just minutes before the first crash that he thought the USA was waiting for some giant terrorrist action taking place against them. Also; all soccer matches tonight (Champions League) are NOT cancelled.
