And then the cycle would continue. I am all about punishing thse who perputrated this act, but to declare war apon innocent people is not right. How many times have you laughed at someone who slipped and fell, or at the "funniest home videos" when someone gets hit below the belt or something like that. It's the same sort of thing. - Matt

Well I believe Yassar Arafat has already expressed his disgust at this act and distanced himself from any group that might be involved in this. While terrorist groups might have a horrendous impact when they strike, very often they do represent and act on the behalf of the minority of their people.

Besides that being a very bad idea in general (you don't want WWIII to happen, do you?), it wouldn't be that easy, since you have no direct knowledge of who did this, and whoever did it is not going to be easy to kick his butt...or whatever. You get my point. __________________ The Poetry Post -- Post all your poems here!*The Magic Dude* e-mail: magic_styler@hotmail.com ICQ #: 91433591 AIM: TheDreamDude

Most of the posts on this thread are pretty ignorant. First of all, whomever said we should go kick Palestinina butt is just dumb, we don't even know who did this for sure, and like Matt already said, that would just make the cycle go on. I think we should wait, make sure no more attacks happen, gather any and all information we can regarding who did this, and then make a logical decision from there. I do think that whatever organization is responisble for this tradgedy should be hit, and hit hard. We need to let terrorist organizations know that we do not accept attacks on US soil, or any of our foerign embassy's.-Jason =w=

gbs3769: I understand were you are coming from, but don't you feel slightly sickened by people cheering and jumping for joy because hundreds, most likely thousands of Americans are dead!? How can you compare a person being hit below the belt to hundreds of thousands of people being killed because of what their government!? There is no comparison. I do appologize for my outburst though. The Magic Dude: I wasn't refering to Palestinians as a country, or as a whole I was refering to the ones that were cheering for these attacks. __________________ "Get your mind out of the gutter, and get your hands off my utter. I agree that it is not the same. My point however was that to people who live in a life of violence, such an act could seem just like a hit below the belt. I am disgusted by the fact that they are all cheering, but I would not wish them ill because of it. (Man I am really sounding like a consciencious objector right now). Anyhow, I think that our government will soon find who did this and they will be punished. - Matt __________________ Matt Tobia AIM: TobySU03 gbs3769@hotmail.com Ref-list H/W List #2 Poster in Syracuse, NY (Does anyone live in Syracuse, NY?)

well, dare i say good news is that WWIII is not likely at all. being a terrorist strike, you simply can't declare war on a country for that. Like Squizz said, they are an independent minority, so the responsibility cannot be placed on any one country.~RPGfreak17 __________________ My Top 3 RPG's of all time: 1 Final Fantasy VII 2 Chrono Trigger 3 Final Fantasy IVI want your Lava Runners! Frankly, I don't believe that they're actually cheering because of the dead Americans, but only because some progress may have been made towards what they want: a nation for themselves. They have nothing against Americans personally... __________________ The Poetry Post -- Post all your poems here!*The Magic Dude* e-mail: magic_styler@hotmail.com ICQ #: 91433591 AIM: TheDreamDude

Also, you can't have a full-scale war on a terrorist organization. Trust me, there will be consequences for whoever did this. Not a full-scale war, but there will be consequences. -Jason =w=

Of course there will be consequences, but I think a major consequence will be something that has to do with the progress regarding Palestina's independence...big chance they'll get something accomplished with this, although I don't like it at all...but what can you do against minorities killing thousands of innocent people? __________________ The Poetry Post -- Post all your poems here!*The Magic Dude* e-mail: magic_styler@hotmail.com ICQ #: 91433591 AIM: TheDreamDude

You know NOTHING of what I talk bout, you should then just keep quiet. My pt was the Pentagon, and you know nothing of what truly goes on there, it is not a innocent random target, neither was the wtc, but the people in there were innocents, it was just a "making a point" bombing, so like I said before, I feel for the families of the dead.Like I said, sometimes Ignorance can become more the bliss, the more you prove it, the more you stay the same. Have ANY of you stopped to think of WHY this happened, its alot deeper then some palistilian nut jobs, although something this wide scale is crazy. When I or anyone else says things remarking the leaders of your country, it does not mean we are talking bout every single american, cuz obviously we arent, there are alot of very nice americans, that dont deserve to be grouped like that. If you or anyone else chooses to take it that way, so be it, in the end it makes no diffrence. More then 1 country was involved in this as well, and it had to have backing by at least several others. Maybe you guys dont get it? Whether the bombings and attacks today are right or wrong, and some of them are very wrong, the fact remains United States is the MOST HATED country in the World, and if you live in it, then I guess you cant helped but be grouped, but there is a reason behind everything, its a pity though your goverment has made it a policy since like the 40's to keep its public uninformed, mostly because if they did, you would all be disgusted. EVERYTHING happens for a reason, not always a good one, or not always a smart action.. but it does. And you can try fighting logic, but you aint gonna win. Yea, some of this is outright nutz, but like I said, whether any of us condone it, which most of us wont, which is good, it happened for a reason, and once you sort through everything, all the tradegdy and aftermath, thats really what you should all be looking for, for there within lies your answer to most of your deserving questionsJay __________________ irsih31 Pygmy's build characterCome get what Undermines, bops, duals, cores, drains, vindicates, forces, HUGE BLOWOUT SALE!!

So just because we are the most powerful country in the world, we should be subjected to attacks like this? I think not. If Palastinians (or any other country or group that hates the U.S.) hate us because of what we have, maybe they should try to do something else about it, without violent attacks such as these. Just because America is the most prosperous and powerful country does NOT make it okay to attack us like this. -Jason =w=

Well, I started getting the news around 9:00 of what was going on, and the lab was ordered closed around 9:30. They just said on FOX News that the astronauts in the International Space Station can see the smoke from where they're at UPDATE: Finally saw the video of the second plane crash...this is sickening. __________________ General Discussion Forum Moderator Please report rules violations!!
