Don't knock it until you've tried it. I actually really enjoy audio books while I'm driving. (I commute over an hour to work each day.) I also enjoy printed books. I just don't have as much time each day to read them. I have finished both books that I downloaded to my iPod. I am going to download the complete Gunslinger series to it next. Is it any good? __________________ I have FREE STUFF on my H/W List! Play a game of Dominoes today! I made the MOTL Pricelist easier to use! Winner of the 2004 MOTL Proton Award

I did, it's awful. Even Douglas Adams reading his own work makes me want to throw with heavy blunt things. It's probably just me anyway so don't feel offended if it works for you, I mistook you to begin with since you mainly talked about "reading books" and downloading them to your iPod, which I've done as well. Either way it simply doesn't do anything for me. I blame it my feline attention span. __________________ King of MOTL 2004!do YOU can kick cerberus out of this world?!?© My Portfolio Originally posted by grimlock_69: i stepped on a bee once, and then while limping home from the park, stepped on another one with my other foot...that sucked.

Honestly, I would say, give it another chance. Some readers are better than others. Perhaps DNA isn't that good at reading his books. (I don't know, I've never heard it.) I have read TONS of audio books and can tell you that I usually prefer professional readers to the author. EDIT: By the way, if you are interested in audio books, your local library probably has a small assortment. Mine does. __________________ I have FREE STUFF on my H/W List! Ah, fair enough.. I reckon it's a bit awkward when a writer reads his own book, like a guitar player doing a tune in the metro station for a bit of money for booze but I'll have another go at it then. Unfortunately they'll probably carry only Dutch audiobooks, not English. __________________ King of MOTL 2004!do YOU can kick cerberus out of this world?!?© My Portfolio Originally posted by grimlock_69: i stepped on a bee once, and then while limping home from the park, stepped on another one with my other foot...that sucked.
