Finished Song of Susannah the day after I started it...and wow It was really good, I just wish I didn't have to wait 2 months to resolve all of the cliffhangers he left us with. I'm currently re-reading Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series, and the book I'm presently on is entitle A Crown of Swords. Damn good series... it reads like Tolkein... starts off slow, but gets much better, and indeed, I think it surpasses The Lord of the Rings.__________________ I named Crucible of Worlds in the "You Make the Card 2" contest. I actually thought just the opposite. I loved the first 3-4 books (and one or two of the later ones), but after that point for the most part it just drags on, and on, and on... __________________ "As below, so above and beyond, I imagine, Drawn beyond the lines of reason."AIM: Lunk42 E-mail: lunk@maine.rr.com Looking for a T1 apprentice/MWS opponent? I was at the bookstore yesterday and purchased a copy of I, Robot. When I was at the register, an older man saw what I was buying and asked me if I had seen the movie. I told him that I had and that I liked it. He said, "well, its nothing like the book". I told him that I didn't think it would be. I have read Asmov's Foundation trilogy and thorougly loved it. So, I suspect I am in for a great book. __________________ I have the best looking H/W List at MOTL! Read my book! Play Dominoes today! "Welcome to my block list, you loser."

I guess I can read now... Anyway, I am currently reading "Not So Quiet..." by Helen Z Smith. If you ever want a good anti-war book, try and read this. Great stuff about WW1. __________________ 2004 MOTL Fantasy Baseball ChampionThe Adventures of Mike S Blueberry 11.2.2004 When the angels kiss the demons, you'd better be ready...

Is it fiction, or based on truth?

Its a fictitious story, but its based on a diary that was written during this time. Its written as a first-hand experince which of course makes it seem like it is completely true. __________________ 2004 MOTL Fantasy Baseball ChampionThe Adventures of Mike S Blueberry 11.2.2004 When the angels kiss the demons, you'd better be ready...

Ah, I have the same thing with the Geisha book. It's written from a first-person point of view which makes it very confusing to understand whether it's made up or an actual life story of that person. It's an extremely pleasurable read nonetheless and I can heartily recommend it as well. In the meanwhile I'll look out for that other book you've mentioned as me, my dad and my boss are all greatly interested in WWI. __________________ "Majoring in the godforsaken language is NOT fun or even remotely sensible. Quite a few, but I just received (and have begun to read) my copy of John Marco's (much awaited!) The Devil's Armor. Every bit as good as the predecessor, if I may say so!__________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. I do not think they will sing to me." -T.S. EliotRIP Ari

I really like them and I am going to try to tackle Whirlwind and the other books once i get a chance.Peace Fernix __________________ T/A For a MOX RUBY, Alpha gauntlet of might, foil fetches, beserk, and more here: http://www.magictraders.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/046586.html#0My MSN: Tweedybird1_00@yahoo.com
