Books =/= Magazines I had misplaced Cardinal of the Kremlin, so I just picked that back up today. Think when I am done, I will look into getting a copy of The Da Vinci Code, that books sounds fascinating. __________________ Email: Stat1c_X@hotmail.comI need 2 BB Portal or Foil Sleight of Hand! I am not reading anything at the moment. (Wait, does MOTL count...) I need to find a book to get interested in. Then, time to read it.
try the Barsoom series- ie: A Princess of Mars, Gods of Mars, & Warlords of Mars it's about a Virginian named John Carter who-while escaping from indians- gets transported to Mars (it's called Barsoom, but it's inhabitants). i've only read A Princess of Mars, but it was a great book. Burroughs has been forgotten in this day and age. *the book i have has an intro, by Bradbury. btw- read Fahrenhiet 451, but never finished it. like 1984, Brave New World, and the one with Big Brother, i could never get into the totalitarian style of books.

That would be 1984. Too bad you didn't finish F451. It really was a great book--not his best, but great none-the-less. I preferred The Illustrated Man. I'll check out your recommendation. Now, if I could only find some reading time... __________________ I have the best looking H/W List at MOTL! Read my book! Play Dominoes today! "Welcome to my block list, you loser."

I couldn't finish 1984. I could respect it for what it was and what it said, but it lost my interested.Fahrenheit, on the other hand, I thought was a great book. __________________ Email: Stat1c_X@hotmail.comI need 2 BB Portal or Foil Sleight of Hand! I liked Something Wicked this Way Comes more than the Illustrated Man. It was an absolutely amazing metaphor for the internal struggles we all face on a day-to-day basis, and how those stuggles, not the answers, define who we are.

I am waiting anxiously for Philip Jose Farmer's "The Gods of Riverworld" to come in from the library. Anyone else ever read Riverworld? Fascinating and unique Sci-Fi.__________________ Originally posted by Ashella: Stop this immediatly, you are acting like children. The Killing of Worlds by Scott Westerfeld. The Risen Empire (the first book in the series) was simply amazing. I can't wait to get really into this one.
