Gotta play more to get better, no doubt. quote: Originally posted by drizzt_2004: Constructed: Format Record: 416-307-7 (13 byes, 743 total) Format %: 56.98% - 42.05% - 0.958%Limited: Format Record: 125-69-5 (5 byes, 204 total) Format %: 62.81% - 34.67% - 2.512% Wow I didn't realized how many tournaments I have actually played in.
That's a pretty nice Limited record. I was actually surprised that I hadn't played in more events. I only started drafting during Conflux and I didn't manage my first 3-0 until the last week of triple Zendikar. I also suck super hard at sealed, so any large pre-re's I have attended are negatively reflected by my 0-6 showings. Recently things have been looking up, going 2-1 or 3-0 fairly regularly in draft so I'm hoping I can start batting over .500 soon. Those first few drafts were really tough, though. Always going to have those 100 match losses dragging me down. Anyway, just for the sake of being the winner on the quest for 1500: Format Record: 93-101-1 (3 byes, 198 total) Format %: 47.69% - 51.79% - 0.512%

A wonderful journey through my ratings:My limited went from 1850 during Lorwyn to 1710 almost exclusively because I stopped going to FNM for two years and when I got back I keep losing 10 points per match to people who open sick bomb rares. Like that stupid vampire in RoE. I must have lost 5-6 matches to her. And I went to FNM usually once or twice a month. Limited: Format Record: 182-102-12 (6 byes, 302 total) Format %: 61.48% - 34.45% - 4.054% My constructed rating is pretty much the victim of "lets play budget decks because you don't need to buy money rares to win, right?" Ha ha ha. The last full money T2 deck I played was, uh, Greater Good combo in CHK-9E-RAV? I was actually sure I'd be lower than 1600 here, but alas, somehow I'm at 1660. Constructed: Format Record: 44-26-3 (2 byes, 75 total) Format %: 60.27% - 35.61% - 4.109% And for 2HG, I blame Mr.C. Format Record: 6-7-0 (0 byes, 13 total) Format %: 46.15% - 53.84% - 0%

I accept the blame. I thought that 3R dude from TSP that made an opponent winds of change their hand on combat damage was awesome. Not really. I'd post mine, but they are too pathetic. At least everything is [barely] above 1600.

I had a thought and wanted some input from the older/wiser players.I know the 5 Lorwyn planeswalkers are the face of Magic but do you think they will be in m12? Do you think they can "waste" 5 mythic slots and reprint them again? Wont they so saturate the market that it will be disappointing to those who open it again? My main question is this, Is it possible for Wizards to make some sort of unprecented move and rule that the Lorwyn 5 are still standard legal, but will NOT be reprinted in m12? It sounds crazy but is it possible? Thanks in advance for any thoughts! Tim

A) Willing to bet there are new planeswalkers in m12B) WoTC doesn't care about the market being saturated or prices being low C)Core set is for newer players, not ones that have been around for ever

Look at birds of paradise, you would crap your pants if you opened one when 6th edition was out, but now you would pass it down to the next person if you see a foil common.

I don't think so I would still take BOP. Green staple and still one of the few green creatures that flies.

a) I sure hope so. Aside from Garruk, are any of the Lorwyn walkers even any good now? Jace 1 is poor, Chandra 1 and Liliana cost too much. Ajani was good once, I guess. b) WoTC should care, I hope, about the fact that T2 decks are so bloody expensive and there's no "cheap" decks that have a hope of winning. c) Noobs don't buy coreset and never have. Re: Birds. Birds are still worth something even though their price finally crashed after years and years of being expensive even though they kept getting reprinted over and over. If it's P1P1 what would you take over birds in the common slot? Lightning bolt? It's still an amazing mana fixer. Edit: Let's make fun of my MTGS "infractions!" Number One: "here is the situation 2 timber protectors are on the field. can they be the target of wrath of god or damnation?" Various discussion to the extent of no. My post: "Sudden spoiling works better". I got a "yellow card" for spamming. Next: Some random post. I double post by accident. Since they didnt at the time (dunno if they do now too) allow deleting posts, I changed the second post to ".", which is pretty standard. I got a "yellow card" for spamming. Even though it was obvious what I had done and mods can see pre-edited posts. Duuuuh. Guy offers $30 for a "foil ancestral memories", you know that horrible turd from Mirage that was in some coresets. I say: "Please tell me you mean Ancestral Vision. If not, I laugh heartily in your face for wanting $30 for something thats worthless." And I get a "flaming warning" from somebody with the same screen name as the guy who runs GameFaqs. Now for my "Red Cards". Which I assume are worse? Maybe? Who knows. (1) Some guy complains about an expensive T2 FNM. I say: lol $10 for T2? Thats more than I pay for draft! T2 tournies usually range from $1 to $2 in my experienence." Spam infraction. Oh snap! (2) I post a sale list and apparently forget to say I'm in Canada even though it says so in my profile. Also, because people on MTGS are dumb as bricks, I have to explicitly say I want payment by paypal. Duh. Oh and back in 2005 I got a warning for answering a yes or no question with "no, you can't."

Wait? What? A) Jace 1 is actually still pretty damn good B) The cheapest Type 2 deck I have ever seen was Jund, and I think Vampires and Boros, both Tier 1 or 1.5 decks are all around that number too. C) I don't know where you live, but we easily sell a case of m11 a week

I'm pretty sure Jund was the most expensive type 2 deck for a while there last rotation and that is only the last block. Before Superfriends and crazy Planeswalkers, was there ever a standard deck more expensive than jund? 4x Baneslayer may have been $200, but the lands for jund were like $150. RDW was way cheaper than Jund, also.

Pretty sure Jund was like between $150-$180 easily. Pulses, A few fetches, 4 Summit, and a some manlands...there weren't any other $5+ rares in that deck when it was good.
