The equipment phases out with the creature, then back in with the creature when it phases in.
702.23f When a permanent phases out, any Auras, Equipment, or Fortifications attached to that permanent phase out at the same time. This alternate way of phasing out is known as phasing out “indirectly.” An Aura, Equipment, or Fortification that phased out indirectly won’t phase in by itself, but instead phases in along with the permanent it’s attached to.

I have some more questions about Planeswalkers. If I attack Gideon Jura with a Vampire Nighthawk do I gain the life? I'm pretty sure I do, just wanted to make sure. Also, if I attack Gideon with a creature that has Sword of Feast and Famine does my opponent have to discard, and do I get to untap my lands? Based on your answers from before, I don't think so, but again, I just wanted to be sure.
Thanks, Jazaray

You are correct on both of your assumptions, Jaz.Lifelink give you life whenever the creature deals damage. It doesn't matter if the damage is combat damage or non-combat damage, and it doesn't matter if the damage is done to a creature, a planeswalker, or a player. All the Swords of This and That are worded with a trigger that happens "Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player". If you damage a ceature or a planeswalker, it doesn't trigger. __________________ "If you're right 90% of the time, why quibble about the other 3% ?""I intend to live forever. So far, so good."

Hasn't come up, but I'm just curious: If I activate Goblin Charbelcher in a tournament knowing I don't have any land in my deck, could I be penalized for just flipping over my library and fanning it out for my opponent to see? Seems like technically I should, but it would be obnoxious to flip 50+ cards one at a time.__________________ seancperry on MTGO Standard: Pyromancer Ascension, $30 Quest Legacy: Merfolk, Epic Storm, Dredge, CounterTop Thopter, Affinity

edit: oh, I misread the question at first. You should do what the card states Since you know that your deck contains no lands you don't have to do it very slowly tho. It really depends on your judge but you wouldn't be given anything too harsh.

I wouldn't do this. What if you made a mistake, and there actually is a land? Even if you're stone cold sure there's no land, unless you're not running any, it's not worth the chancem imo. I would inform your opponent that there aren't any, and flip over the cards one by one quickly. Not so quickly they can't tell what each card is if they're paying attention, but maybe at about 120bpm. __________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Logout Mottle Salvation- a new place to play Mafia and WW

On the field:Parallax Wave Opalescence Can I use Parallax Wave to remove creatures and use it's final counter to remove itself to effectively bring Parallax Wave back into play before removing the other creatures, thus removing them permanently? If that does work, does the next time Parallax Wave leave play force the previous removals to return?

The power level erratas on parallax wave have been removed. Yes, as long as you exile parallax wave before the other exile effects resolve, your stack should look something like this: (top of stack) parallax wave ability targeting itself parallax wave ability targeting Creature B parallax wave ability targeting Creature A (bottom of stack)as soon as the first ability on the stack resolved you get parallax wave removed and: (top of stack) parallax wave trigger to return the creatures to play parallax wave ability targeting Creature B parallax wave ability targeting Creature A (bottom of stack) so effectively all creatures removed come back so the wave brings itself back, then the other remove effects resolve. The parallax wave that is in play is now a "new" parallax wave, not connected to the creatures removed with the "old" parallax wave. If Creature A and Creature B are exiled and parallax wave gets destroyed, it has no effect on those creatures

My opponent has a Precursor Golem in play. I cast and kick Into the Roil targeting one of the golems. Are the copies of Into the Roil kicked allowing ke to draw 3 cards, or is only the original spell kicked?

yes, any copies are also kicked quote: Originally posted by Eatatjoes: My opponent controls a kira great glass spinner, and a mutavault. If i go to wasteland the mutavault, can he activate it, and will kiras ability counter my wasteland?
it is not a creature when wasteland is activated so kira does not trigger.

If I activate a planeswalker's ability, bounce it, then recast it, may I activate the ability of the planeswalker again?

Hand of the Praetors deals damage equal to its power (3) to the Acid Web Spider resulting in 3 -1/-1 counters. Acid Web Spider deals damage equal to its power (now 0) to the Hand of the Praetors.

I have a Night Dealings in play. If i use Sorin Markov's 'target player's life total becomes 10' ability on someone with 30 life, would i put 20 theft counters on the Dealings?I know in the same scenario with a wound reflection out instead of a night dealings, it would kill them.

Sorin's life setting ability can result in life loss, but it isn't damage. Night Dealings only triggers for damage.

My question/s involve Cunning Wish.If I Wish for a card and then cast it, does it go in my graveyard? And if so, cards like Relearn/Regrowth etc. can target it, right? I know it doesn't say on Cunning Wish to exile it or remove it but I just wanted to make sure. Also, if I wish for a Blue Sun's Zenith does it get shuffled in my library like a normal 1 would? ~MM __________________ I am MeddlingMage...YOUR Motl Survivor 11 Champion, 2007 Captain N award winner, 2010 Marlboro award winner.MafiaBass (9:48:50 PM): sorry my keyboard is sticky MeddlingEric (9:48:56 PM): ewwww MafiaBass (9:51:43 PM): FTR, I did not show you my e-pee-pee New keeper of the Logout button

Yes, the card gets treated as normal for the rest of the game since there's no card/rules text to say otherwise.

I'm pretty sure that a life total "becoming" a number is not gaining life nor losing life (even the total can be higher or lower, it doesn't trigger "gains life" or "loses life" sorts of things). Like how False Cure will not annihilate a player who Beacon of Immortality's themselves. Since i'm not 100% sure i am now asking __________________ If you can make/print proxies, i will trade for them. Also looking for Microprose MTG computer game. "118.5. If an effect sets a player’s life total to a specific number, the player gains or loses the necessary amount of life to end up with the new total." So yes False Cure will annihilate a player who Beacon of Immortality's themselves

If I cast Echoing Courage on a Saproling token do all Saproling tokens get the bonus? I guess the basic question is, do tokens have names?

Ok... I was just looking up Null Rod on magiccards.info. I was in a Legacy tournie last night, and I was playing Affinity. The guy got out a Null Rod, and told me I couldn't use my lands anymore. We asked the dude running the tournie if that was true, and he said yes, it was. But on magiccards.info it specifically states: 10/4/2004: Does affect mana abilities of artifacts. Did this change or were those people just wrong?
