I'm gonna peel through a list of zombie cards myself but any guidance would be great.

It sure is. Add in something that gives benefits for sacking creatures, or something like that Scourge guy who pings opponents when a zombie dies and you have a winner. Zombie tribal is pretty fun in EDH, it's just too low-power to stand up to degenerate t1 unfairness.

tombstone stairwell is a great card, it just scares me if someone uses tormod's crypt on me or something similar. All of a sudden I'm not getting benefit from it and have to let it go.

Around here, Tombstone Stairwell is still secret tech. I put it in my Geth deck so people can bash me in the face after I mill them. I feel it's only fair. Also, Geth paired with Altar of Dementia when one of your opponent's has a Su-Chi in the 'yard is just nuts. I love it when EDH brings that kind of craziness to life.

Tombstone Stariwell + Noxious Ghoul keeps the board pretty tidy as well.

Gwafa is fine because people can still attack once they kill him and they like drawing cards so you don't auto become a target.

so I'm playing my warp world deck... I mull keeping signet, mana crypt, mana vault then get emrakul's hatcher and skull clamp as 2 of my cards, forget the others. I kept a zero land hand.turn 1 I drew jund panorama, played land, mana crypt, signet, mana vault, skull clamp turn 2 I dropped emrakul's hatcher and proceeded to clamp every token. turn 3 I drop kiki-jiki.... ended up warp world on ~turn 5 (or so) for 20. best I've done prior to that game was something like a turn 3-4 genesis wave for 6. That game far out paces anything else this deck has pulled off.

Why Warp Wolrd is Worth It. WWWIWI! I was desperation loosing out in the battle of attrition too Kresh and Omnath with my nearly-virgin Mannichi, so I keep dropping permanents as fast I can for a few turns; hit 15 total; and float 3 and play Warp World. Kresh went for 24 and omnthat went for 19.
I flip a Shivan Hellkite,HAMLETBACK GIANT, Flametongue Kavu, Imperial Hellkite (damn..), Armillary Sphere, Everflowing Challice, RINGS OF BRIGHTEARTH, ELEMENTAL MASTERY, IN THE WEB OF WAR. 3 mountains. Now, I'f I do my calculations correct and did the triggers right; I had a huge ass army; with haste! __________________ Bargain is not to powerful for EDH, EDH is to weak for Bargain!

Who is the general? It looks like it would be Wort, the Raidmother. There is very little I enjoy more in EDH than conspiring Warp World and then conspiring a Reverberate on it.

This is sadly true. The justification is unsound, but since if you want your EDH deck to be portable in any way you have to follow the silly rules of the Great Leader, there's not much you can do.

Darksteel ? - The one that makes the creature indestructible and the item is indestructable as well. I use that as a 2nd Lightning Greaves for my Generals __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 10000+ posts 3rd in posts in Ontario 15th in posts on MOTL Top 5 in Refs in Ontario (by people who location posted)

Thanks everyone, I'm rebuilding my Thrun deck to revole more around him and I needed equipment. The first version would have been better for Omnath as the General.

Gravedigger is a zombie :p quote: Originally posted by Mr.C: Noxious Ghoul is so, so strong. So are Gempalm Polluter and Vengeful Dead.
Ghoul would hit my weenie vamps. But how many zombies could i play in a turn for a board wiping effect? I wonder if i could unearth or Patriach's Bidding a handful into play... Vengeful is probably in for sure since it hits each opponent. In this format will i get enough use out of Gempalm to be worth hitting one player?quote: Originally posted by denholm: Tombstone Stairwell is a huge temp zombie producer.
That. Sounds. Awesome. That makes tons of things in my deck awesomer. Also i've decided to make two decks (i actually made one just two days ago and played several times, LOVED IT, even though it was random crap i happened to have lying around) with somewhat similar themes. One is the monoblack Vampires/Null (zombies) army that i already made, and the other will be Grixis colors zombies with even more sacrificing shenanigans (and grixis has legend zombies too). I decided this because i couldn't deal with making a multicolor deck and losing the ability to switch my Vampire generals from Drana to Mirri to Anowon or anyone else (whom i just switch out with each other depending on how i wanna play). The grixis gives me Blood Tyrant which i can't wait to use, plus all the unearth and crazy red/black spells. Thanks for the ideas folks, I'm gonna post a decklist soon even though it's the first Commander attempt that took all of 15 minutes to make >.> __________________ If you can make/print proxies, i will trade for them. Grafted Wargear is awesome, but i suppose commander is a place where people expect powerful artifacts and will hate it just to kill Thrun? Also i'm not too sure but would Strata Scythe decent in a mono deck? With about ten equips i imagine that doesn't make the cut but just throwing it out there. edit: oops doublepost, thought that post came after mine. edit: decklist 24 Spells/Noncreature Permanents (16/8): Strip Mine Mana Vault Sol Ring Dark Ritual Duress Vampiric Link Blade of the Bloodchief Bloodchief Ascension Urge to Feed Doomblade Grasp of Darkness Sign in Blood Feast of Blood Diabolic Edict Go For The Throat Hideous End Last Kiss Gruesome Quag Sickness Bonehoard Consuming Vapors Corpsehatch Blood Tribute Exsanguinate 41 Creatures and Planeswalker (40/1): Viscera Seer Pulse Tracker Guul Draz Vampire Quag Vampires Carrion Feeder Guul Draz Assassin Bloodghast Kalastria Highborn Blood Seeker Dregscape Zombie Child of Night Gatekeeper of Malakir Shepherd of Rot Bloodthrone Vampire Vampire Hexmage Ruthless Cullblade Rotting Rats Nirkana Cutthroat Death Baron Zombie Master Fleshbag Marauder Bloodhusk Ritualist Vampire Nighthawk Cemetery Reaper Captivating Vampire Pawn of Ulamog Mirri the Cursed Undead Warchief Skinrender Escaped Null Sangromancer Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief Malakir Bloodwitch Anowon, the Ruin Sage Krovikan Vampire Sengir Vampire Kalitas Bloodchief of Ghet Butcher of Malakir Scion of Darkness Sorin Markov 36 Swamps It's a 100 cards because i switch generals from Drana and Mirri a lot, and other legend vamps. __________________ If you can make/print proxies, i will trade for them.
