I'm going to build a monogreen Vorinclex deck when new Phyrexia comes out. (vorinclex is a 7/6 trampler for 6GG, who doubles your lands' mana and does a Frost Titan impression on your opponent's lands when they're tapped for mana) Any green or colorless suggestions for Mana sinks? I'm going to pack it with ramp and doubling effects out the butt, and with plenty of protection for Vorinclex himself, but I need more stuff to do with arbitrarily ginormous amounts of mana. So far (aside from just really really expensive spells and creatures) I've got Tower of Fortunes and Centaur Glade.__________________ "Where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost." -- Ronald Reagan

In 1v1 yes, chant is good in anything that has a big turn. In multiplayer, no because Chant only takes out one player. Note that Abeyance is pretty hot too if you don't want stuff countered. Or Silence, though it doesn't cantrip.

Holy crap, you don't say! I asked for examples; no **** x spells and multikicker goes well with lots of mana. Permanents with activated abilities or spells with buyback would be ideal, as I can use those turn after turn. Also good is stuff like wolfbriar and verdeloth cause they're tutorable spells that come with their own army. Come to think of it, planar portal would be a great addition too... __________________ "Where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost." -- Ronald Reagan

In monogreen all you've got for buyback is the giant growth variant. There's also that 3/3 3GG guy from Ravnica with "G: +1/+1 to target creature". And Gigantomancer (1: Target creature is a 7/7).

Someone said it already, but Wurmcalling is a green card that has buyback.

Yeah, he was a house in limited. Undoubtedly he's probably pretty bomby when you've got giant tramplers and massive mana.

RE: Accidental infinite combosSo I added krark-clan ironworks into my sharuum deck online. Its a fun deck that usually kills with thopter foundry + nim deathmantle + (general/precursor golem/myr battlesphere). Nothing too abusing. No sculpting steel in the deck, etc. Was in a game and someone starting taking over the game, I cast fabricate then I saw it: nim deathmantle, myr battlesphere, krark-clan ironworks. Attacked, with battlesphere trigger on the stack I started to generate a lethal amount of myr to tap. My deck has been lacking forms of mana accel/big mana for late game so I really don't want to cut the ironworks, but should I not kill with it? I mean, it also seems terrible to have a win on the table and not use it. Does your opponent get to play/win only at your mercy? That doesn't sound fun either. Stupid game! Guess I could go buy mana crypt, thran dynamo, etc... dunno =/

Not yet, they should be spoiled late in the month before release; or early the same month (or not at all). __________________ Bargain is not to powerful for EDH, EDH is to weak for Bargain!

Not trying to rain on your parade, but could you explain your infinite combo? I don't see anything even remotely resembling what you are describing.

Sacrifice a Myr token to KCI for 2 mana, ignore the Deathmantle trigger. Sacrifice the Battlesphere for 2 mana, use the four mana to activate Deathmantle. Battlesphere returns to play with Deathmantle equipped, putting four more Myr into play. Repeat as desired, then resolve Battlesphere trigger and tap the Myr tokens you made for any amount of damage you wish.__________________ The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing.
