The new M12 Hydra seems a little nuts for Animar. Apocalypse Hydra and Verdeloth the Ancient have a third finisher coming to join their ranks __________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

Lol, my Animar doesn't play either of those, and doubtful I will play the new one. Usual win conditions: Animar himself, Triumph of the Hordes, Eldrazi, Avenger of Zendikar, or Cloudstone Curio.

So my friend has inspired me to make a squirrel edh deck. Yes I know there is not many squirrels but there is Changelings and there is stuff like Regrowth and green recursion. Anyone know of a good general for this type of deck? Or any suggestions?

I'd go with one of the following:Kamahl, Fist of Krosa (prob the best choice) Kaysa Meng Huo, Barbarian King Multani, Maro-Sorcerer Nemata, Grove Guardian

I'm pretty sure I'ma go with Kamahl. This deck isn't really gonna be so competitive just something to have fun with. Any suggestions?

Twanos's Coffin is great for bouncing Deranged Hermit in and out.Mimic Vat for sure, Parallel Evolution for token heavy decks is always good You might even want to consider using Rhys as your general, and splash some white in for some limited removal/control and other nice effects.
Soul Foundry is another fun edh card.

Fun thing to do with Rite of Replication #304: cast kicked on your own eternal witness, returning 4 cards you need and getting the rite back to do it again.__________________ "I never got any respect at all. My family moved a lot when I was a kid, but I always found them." -- Rodney Dangerfield

I'm sure this has already been done, but my friends all play super powerful decks with all the most powerful cards. Everybody's got Eldrazi running around and what have you. The other day I thought about building a deck built to play with everyone else's cards. Basically, lots of different Clone creatures, Praetor's Grasp, Thada Adel, Bribery, Mind Control cards, etc. Also with stuff that hoses all the general use cards, like Karn and Manriki Gusari for equipment, Pithing Needle, Extract, etc. I was thinking I would probably do it with Sol'Kanar because I like his colors, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this strategy, and if so, how they worked it. I think it could be fun, and possibly really effective.

I run a RWU with Oros currently - GOnna change it to that 7/7 eventually. I play with Treachery, Clone, Doppleganger, Bribery, Mind Control, Persuasion, Legacy's Allure, Ray of Command, etc. Some red one's like Threaten as well. It's fun to take other people's stuff. only problem is that a lot of those cards are expensive mana wise, so I needed some artifact and ramp (Signets, Tithe, Land Tax). The deck also has a fun mini-theme associated with Wild Research and Pacifism type effects. __________________ -Schmitty 5th in Refs [192] in OH-IO (Catching up to xion_black) 2nd in Posts [5654] in OH-IO (Have a long way to go to catch Val) “If Brad Stevens is the future of coaching in college basketball, the sport is in a good place.” - Rick Pitino

I've done this with Blue/Black. I used Oona as my general, and included the infinite mana combo so that you have an alternate win condition. I like stealing creatures and then Proteus Staffing them.

My decks are kind of like that. I prefer to mess around with other people and their stuff. In those colors I used to run Sol'Kanar but switched to Thraximundar, he forces you to be aggressive. Bad thing about this type of deck sometimes you cant get anything going until somebody gets something going so your kind of left siting on your hands. On the plus side you can let a couple of people take each other out while you pick your spots. Other useful cards: Thorpor Orb, Slave of Bolas, Twincast, Wild Ricochet, Hurkyll's Recall, Kredkt Leviathan, Mindslaver (+Academy Ruins is a little broken). Another route you could go, which is something ive been trying to make work is Running Gaddock Teeg as your general, he just causes all sorts of mischief but at the same time he's non threatening so he doesn't **** people off too much. I dont play white or green very much so kind of difficult for me to build a good deck with him, but hes been fun so far nonetheless.

False. People get REAL mad when they can't cast their own stuff. Teeg will have the biggest target ever on his back every time he is in play. edit: cant say some words.

Teeg is like Uril or zur, in that he draw allll of the hate all the time, but he lacks the built-in protections the others have. Basically, teeg is the deck that tells everyone else "hey guys, please kill me first so I can go do some trading". __________________ "I never got any respect at all.
