Thing is though, if you disregard the prohuman, it's arguably worse than Champion of the Parish (harder to get the Noble's counters, Champion can attack for 2 on turn 2, not turn 3). And yet it still commands a higher selling price (unless I missed some recent fluctuation). Add in the fact that Champion is basically a Hada Freeblade and it's tough to see why the Noble could be worth its price tag.

In other words, if I open one in draft tomorrow night, I'm definitely flipping it ASAP.

Have you tried the RDW list that won in Indy yet? Turn 1 Stormkirk into T2 Berserker is a pretty strong play. There are actually quite a few humans seeing play right now as well. It's really quite good against a lot of the field, especially when control's main plan early on is to flash in a Snapcaster to chump until they stabilize. It's pretty crucial to the nuts hand in game 1 against a lot of decks.

That said, I do agree that it's really not a $10 card. But I'm guessing a lot of people will be rocking red decks for states, so the demand is pretty high right now.

You know, that's a good point re: snapcaster (especially if they're doing it to set up a moorland haunt activation).
Rdw always does well in undeveloped metas, I imagine as demand dies down and its success drops off he'll decline in price. But that's a good point I hadn't even considered.

I do have to wonder how effective it is against tempered steel though. Probably not much worse than goblin guide would have been (both'll be outclassed by a single memnite with one active Steel)

I have a trade binder, a collections binder and a "I'm almost certainly going to use these cards, so generally they aren't for trade unless it's a -really- good deal" binder.

It can be annoying, but sometimes it's a matter of not having what the person wants to trade those cards. A lot of times I'll have things in the binder that I am willing to trade, but not for the cards I found in their binder. I guess you could say "It's tradable, but not for the things here."

I do have a small "museum" in my big binder as well, but it's mostly drawn-on cards that I get from people around here, and from the hoarder's bank.

Does anybody ever give somebody an amazing deal when they say "well, it's only for trade if I get 2x it's real value"? Even in small towns you can just go on eBay.
