Gatherer is what I use. You can custom sort the cards and output them as a checklist by color, set number, rarity, etc. No checkboxes though...I usually just cross off the cards as I put the set together.

I use mostly this nowadays.

But value is actually the most common ground that people agree on more often than not (though the use of price guides may differ). You feel strongly about usability in formats, while someone else with Pods on their want list might actually BE in a rush to complete their decks, which is what wayne was getting at. You PERSONALLY don't need them, but that doesn't make his offer stupid as a GENERAL matter.Making a blanket statement which implies that people are stupid if they offer to trade Standard-only cards for cards that can be used in other formats is problematic because there is no way for them to know your personal trading preferences unless you have them stated in your rules. Unless you made sure that the other trader already knows this, why would it be stupid for him to make the offer that he did (again, if the value otherwise lined up)? [Edit: Also, not saying your considerations or preferences are wrong in any way, but not everyone thinks the same when trading, or has the same needs for cards. I just don't see how the offered trade is ridiculous simply because fetches are usable in other formats and Pods are not.]
I totally agree with this. Standard cards will be worth way more to a person who plays t2 regularly than one who does not.

Just made an order online that I fully expect to get canceled tomorrow. I am hoping that by not cleaning them out of the under priced things that they might just ship it and raise the price of the rest. Not holding my breath, though. If they cancel the order I will probably never order from them again, and if they fulfill it the store will be one of the first places I look in the future. I wonder if they think losing a past and (potential) future customer is worth the $40 on this order.

If it's a sleeper card, why would he share it? I'm assuming we'll find out tomorrow when his order goes through or not. __________________ It is a known fact that more Americans watch the television than any other appliance.

I feel like none of the financial writers who write advocating MOTL ever include disclaimers in how to deal with Coolio or Me, or the horde of angry mobs that attack the idiots that come

I feel like that the people reading these articles translate "MOTL is good for trading" = "MOTL is a place full of suckas that you can take advantage of"

Earlier this year, I turned down a very lopsided legacy (my cards) v. standard (his cards) offer from a new MOTL'er. When he asked for a counter-offer for his supposed "fair" offer, I replied that it probably wasn't worth it considering his weak initial offer. He had in his rules that he doesn't trade legacy for standard. I figured he'd be understanding. He pressed on and I finally let him know that his offer was offensive, especially after he considered it fair and based on the rules listed on top of his own h/w list. I certainly wasn't shy in letting him know it was a bit hypocritical. What's his reply? Sends me this message telling me that I'm some immature child hiding behind a screen using words like "hypocrite." And his grand plan about how he's copy/pasting our PM's on twitter so that all his trading buddies and Medina can laugh about it. Btw, I'm not even sure kids these days even know what hypocrite means. Education is sad.

good ole name dropping Medina... like we'd care. Maybe you'd feel sorry for him if you were aware that he knew Medina in person? heh.

+1 I especially hate the ridiculous offers on cards that spike (ie Splinter Twin and Stoneforge Mystic) using their pre spike value. After I reply with a fair counter offer using the current, higher value they call me an idiot for using the highest price I can find even though most, if not all, places have them at the higher price.

Finally got my hands on 4x Spell Pierce. Can't wait to sleeve 'em up and start countering things! For the last few years, I'd forgotten how awesome trading is--especially when you have a healthy and diverse metagame in which to use your new-fangled cards.

Waiting for my box of Zendikar to arrive which i bought for $110 AUD, bargain if I say so myself. However looking through the rares I don't see anything of note beyond the opposing sac lands, lotus cobra and bloodghast demon. Am I missing something?

I'll let a pro handle which is better, but I'd imagine pod is cheaper. How much is Liliana going for now? Or has she already peaked?

I pulled a Liliana at my pre-release event I also have 4x Snapcaster and 2x Jace, Memory Adept. So, cost wise, I have most of the $$ cards. ~MM

For value, you've hit most of the big ones. Any of the Planeswalkers should be fairly decent at the very least as trade bait. Goblin Guide, and Iona, Shield of Emera are another couple cards to keep an eye out for. __________________ PMs don't work in Chrome or Firefox 4.0+, see HERE for work arounds.
