I get at least three former tenant's junk mail. Sometimes this includes sampler kits from Gillete, which I keep.

I want to build a deck which will win with Laboratory Maniac by shuffling a copy of Mirror-mad Phantasm into my library. For this idea, I can only run one Phantasm though and don't know how I could quickly dig it up. Oh well, it was a fun thought.

That's because the people selling Liliana are trying to gouge the hell out of the price. People bought all of the ones at $30-35 (which was likely too low), then the $40-45 ones (likely fair), now most of the people selling them want $50-55 for them (too high). I've seen a ton on eBay for $50 so there's no reason why MOTL should have them up for the same or higher. I'm hoping she doesn't crash too fast since I have a playset I'll be selling relatively soon.

That's because no one wants to pay $50 for a card that will drop to around $40 (or lower) after states.

Had not seen the video before, but it does not surprise me considering that guy's pedigree on MOTL. As for deck to play, I'm just going with UWb control. I've been too unhappy with pod and the lack of any strong showing just shows it's not right for the meta at this time. I don't have enough time to continue brewing lists. UWx control has usually been strong option for me at past states events. __________________

Eh, it's pretty standard. If he doesn't get caught stealing, he gets away with it (obviously). If he gets caught, he simply comes up with some story about how it was a misunderstanding, and gives the deck back to try and avoid any negative consequences.

The deck's owner hasn't commented and neither has the "friend". If this was all a big misunderstanding, why hasn't any of the people in the video come to his defense? Also, this is very relevant: MOTL BTA - Pedro Quintero. I am not playing at States this year. I live in California, so the championship is either a very short drive, or all the way on the other side of the state.

i'm not playing in States this year because I don't feel like testing for the worst format in the world (that would be standard, now that Extended no longer exists AFAIK). That and testing vs Solar Flare sounds terrible.

A new toy store opened in town "Tadoodles" and I bought five packs hoping for a Snapcaster, Liliana, or Garruck. I got: Undead Alchemist, Blastphemous Act, Champion of the Parish, Tree of Redemption, and Cackling Counterpart. Relevant uncommons: 2x Hamlet Captain, Invisible Stalker, Scourge of Geier Reach (EDH); commons: Rebuke, Ancient Grudge, and a foil Delver of Secrets/Insectile Aberration. Could've been worse yet could've been better.

I highly recommend you read some Geordie Tait articles on SCG then. He is who I think is actually the best MTG article writer, ever.
