Flashing a PW is bad you lose a turn and you don't get priority to use one of their + abilities to put it out of burn range.

It also costs 3 more mana with this card. You want Jace on turn 4 or turn 8? You can't use him on turn 7 since you want to flash him in.

The whole set has not been spoiled as of this moment, but I am liking what I am seeeing right now. Heavy angels though. There's only so much you can do with angels right? I don't think they can actually make a balanced, fair angel that cost 2 mana.

Presales for some of these are kinda redic, well from what I am seeing. Sigarda is $15, you'd think it would be like $30, where Bruna is like $7 and should be more around $10 or a little higher.

Just my opinion.

The only angels that will have a constructed impact are the blink angel with flash, and possibly Sigarda as a 2-of in some midrange deck. The rest are limited bombs or EDH fodder.

With that said, there are certainly playable chase rares and mythics. The red miracle is really under-rated right now, and the rest of the set is chock full of cards I would love to pull foils of, and even more cards I will sell in a heartbeat before the hype dies down.

I like the Griffin for control. Now you an pack more removal and counter into your control deck bc you can cast a win condition from your SB.

Does it work like that? I was thinking about it as if its been Pathed or Helvaulted or other exile effects like that.

I think that card is okay with Force of will. Since Path and Swords are the #1 removal in Legacy it might be playable as a 1 or 2 of. 3/3 just isn't big enough though. If it could survive lightning bolt I think it would be worth it to try it.

I think primal surge is funny cause if you have all permanents you can deck yourself. Primal surge + laboratory maniac + all permanents!

In order for a card to be in exile though, it has to be in the game to start with. That means it had to be RFG'd from a library, hand, play, etc. I don't think it's a Wish-less freebie.

That's not errata, that's an update to the oracle wording when they introduced "Exile" and "Battlefield" as terms. Compare the wording to cards like the Wishes that used to be able to get cards that had been exiled (ie: Cast Ill-Gotten Gains, and then cast Burning Wish to get back that Ill-Gotten Gains) that can now only get cards from your sideboard.

Exile is a In Game zone, and by in game I mean it exists within the game state, Sideboards do not.

Hmm...well if it doesn't do what I thought it did then the card is less interesting to me, and frankly utterly useless.


I seriously thought it was able to be played right out of the SB, meh, oh well.

anyone see the RWB necrotic ooze deck with griselbrand and zombie infestation? looks pretty hilarious. run out your hand and then just win by drawing 14 cards and gaining the life back with Timely Reinforcements.

This set is Rise of the Eldrazi 2.0

It's so meh, once again they spoil all the good cards within the first few days and nothing really relevant afterwards.

A few constructed playables, a few "gimmick" rares that will plummet in price, and a few decent EDH cards. Nothing I'd look twice at, and dissappointing after INN and DKA. Literally this looks to be the worst of the 3 sets, and I don't see an answer out side of a ban to combat Delver.dec

I know DKA wasn't that great but I think it brought more to the tabl ethan this set.

Looks like fun to draft, don't get me wrong, but that only lasts so long. Glad I didn't pre-order any boxes or splurge for a foreign box.

I think daner pinned it pretty well...

There are plenty of gimmicky big angels, but as far as constructed goes, for a large set this one is pretty underwhelming. Very excited to draft it though!

I would disagree, I know that the miracle hype is dying down and all, but I think entreat the angels and temporal mastery is gonna get some delver cards banned
