Ghostly flicker is an interesting common. Ghostly flicker instant 2U Exile two target artifacts, creatures and/or lands you control, then return those cards to the battlefield under your control. Not sure how exactly I'd like to use it but I think it has potential. Seems like what I refer to as a swiss-army knife card - something that has a variety of uses. Obviously this one is great for protecting your permanents and abusing enter the battlefield effects. Possibly other uses too. __________________ |My Angels~My P9 l""|"\__, |~~My #1 Angel~~l'_|'_|_|) |(@)(@)""***|(@)(@)**|(@)

new planeswalker will see play in a lot of control decks mainboard initially due to the speed of the format and how much aggro there is/will be, but once the aggro tapers off and people start playing control more, we will see 5 mana jace make his last hurrah probably right before m13 comes about.Either way, delver just doesn't seem to want to go away, if they want to print these monster delver targets off said ponder, go right ahead. I for one will be playing bstormingmiracles.dec in legacy so they won't have a choice but to ban something blue in legacy. __________________ "Mikaeus banned as a general?!?!? You have that completely backwards. Look at the win conditions of the current control decks. Tamiyo has no place right now, while jace remains a backbreaker in the control mirror. Every aggro deck in the world would prefer than you dropped this walker instead of batterskull or a titan.

I have never seen so much hype with a set before. Every card spolied is just another Graffdigger's Cage. This set looks strong and I am excited to draft these bombs.

When my buddy plays his Kaalia, I just play my Rebel EDH...searching for a turn 4 Bound in Silence off of a rebel pretty much shuts him down for 3-4 turns.__________________ -Schmitty T-92nd in Refs [273] on MOTL (tied with Raven Fire) 3rd in Refs [273] in OH-IO (2 behind Odie) 2nd in Posts [7364] in OH-IO (only 800 behind Val) “If Brad Stevens is the future of coaching in college basketball, the sport is in a good place.” - Rick Pitino

Moonsilver Spear as for the previous card that was ruining the Mythic being not so just mythic, was originally Devil's Play, and the last minute they changed it to basic rare. Or so I hear. __________________ Motl member since November 1, 2000Your 2008 and 2010 Motl Siskel & Ebert award winner! 38th in refs on Motl! First in refs in state of Arizona! Werewolf II: Nemesis

You can cast it on your opponents turn if it was the first card you drew off the brainstorm.

Another new Planeswalker: Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded RR Planeswalker - Tibalt +1: Draw a card, then discard a card at random. -4: Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded deals damage equal to the number of cards in target player's hand to that player. -6: Gain control of all creatures until end of turn. Untap them. They gain haste until end of turn. 2Bonfire of the Damned XXR Sorcery Bonfire of the Damned deals X damage to target player and each creature he or she controls. Miracle XR

This is a VERY bad planeswalker. The + ability is SOOOO bad. Randomly discarding is not something I want to start doing on turn 2. It's other abilities are meh. I feel like this is actually best in a GY manipulation deck with FB. So...you are probably some sort of R/X control? -4 to Sudden Impact is bad....and -6 to Innsurection isn't very hot either. EDIT: does WOTC purposely make red PW's poop? The best red PW is arguably original Chandra....thats pretty sad.

+1 gamble isnt that bad of an ability..... The fact you can pump him on that early in a game could be huge. Has potential bit will probably fail like all red pw.

yeah but it's not GAMBLE. Gamble lets you search for a card from library, then discard at random. This is just draw. It's a bad bad desperate ravings. __________________ -Schmitty T-92nd in Refs [273] on MOTL (tied with Raven Fire) 3rd in Refs [273] in OH-IO (2 behind Odie) 2nd in Posts [7364] in OH-IO (only 800 behind Val) “If Brad Stevens is the future of coaching in college basketball, the sport is in a good place.” - Rick Pitino

Tibalt feels like a card that you want to build around, not add in to your big red or RDW...He loads the graveyard, period. As for the -4, it seems pretty underwhelming, but your opponant has to play his game with it in mind, while the -6 ability feels like an unlikely end-game that could happen, but again isn't all that great. I would say this guy feels about right for what I would expect from a two mana planeswalker. The +1 ability alone for a turn or two, then soaking up an attack step, at two mana feels pretty reasonable for what you invest really.

In Fairness the -4 on Tibalt will be good when you're playing Alex Bertoncini after he gets unbanned because he'll always have a full hand from brainstorming for 3 cards.

This one's a goodie, especially for combo: Reforge the Soul 3RR Sorcery - R
Each player discards his or her hand and draws seven cards. Miracle 1R In a wave of spells called the Cursemute, Avacyn cleansed the world with divine fire. Illus. Too bad Liliana's Caress isn't legal in standard anymore. LOL. I think this one might turn into a mistake moreso than the timewalk. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 11000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario 13th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

I think reforge the soul is pretty cool. Red always seems like the weakest color to me (yes I know I'll probably get flamed for that - pardon the pun) so its nice to see it get some good cards - especially card-draw cards. I can't believe that Tamiyo is selling at around $30 each on ebay. Nearly as much as temporal mastery, which in my opinion is WAY better. I'm guessing Tamiyo will drop to around $5-10 soon, and temporal mastery will keep most of its value after the hype dies down.
