How far in advance of a GP does Wizards announce the format for that tourney?

The horns were a step up from the stupid crap some of our players wear already. I seriously worry about the couple old-enough-to-know-better guys running around as half-furries or something. It's something that catches a newbie's eye, and that's what Celebrations is all about anyway. The people that would wear it outside of the store are people who would be doing something else just a silly otherwise, but at least locally, as soon as the first person noticed me wearing the horns, it generated a lot of buzz, and everyone wanted to try them on and when they found out that the winner got a pair, people really did play with a little more energy. For a pretty small investment, I have no doubt that WotC will get a lot of return in the form of newer players sticking around a little longer because they now see the game as having a more silly, but still fun aspect to it. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. They are releasing the formats all at once now. Spring 2013 just got released, so about 4 months before the start of the season.

Thanks Great. GP Denver is Legacy. Eh, at least I'll have more time to prepare this time.

Show and Tell / Omniscience has been doing very well overall. The Rector version, specifically, has had some top 32 appearances, and one top 8. http://sales.starcitygames.com//deckdatabase/displaydeck.php?DeckID=48931 And with old already casual/EDH popular cards like Rector, it's not like it takes much to push it over the edge when a new "real" deck pops up that uses it.

Are you asking if someone on MOTL plays Infect in Standard? Or are you asking if Infect is played by anyone in Standard? I'm not playing it, but it's certainly being played by some people these days.

Want to know which MOTL members play it? Want to discuss some topics on the deck.

or just direct toward SCG's standard deck lists and there is a plethora of them that have made T8 recently. I started drafting on MTGO today with only 1 ticket to spare after I entered the draft. After a long day of drafting, I have 25 tix and 24 m13 packs. Might just call it done for this format and end on a good note.

That's nothing. I started MTGO today with nothing but an 8th edition plains and now I have 128 M13 packs, 15 packs of Apocalypse, 150 tickets and 4 force of wills.

Uhh, I don't know if you guys know this, but I started with pocket lint. Traded the pocket lint for a toothpick. Toothpick to a rich guy with asparagus stick in his teeth. He gave me enough for 1 magic online draft.Yeah I just cashed in 16 sets of Innistrad, and still have enough booster packs to buy a BMW M5. Just sayin'...

You guys! ...I swear! Good humor on MOTL. Today's sarcasm forcast looks to be at about a "10" Seriously, you guys are funny and very witty =) I always love reading random posts on here, it really does make me laugh quite often =) Just thought I'd share that. EDIT: The artwork for Vampiric Tutor really sucks! Just imagine if there was one with great artwork... It's funny how a really powerful card will sometimes have the crappiest artwork! Do any of you guys ever feel mildly ashamed to be playing certain cards because their artwork is so wack, in whatever way? Edit #2: Yes, I know I said "artwork" 4 times in a row (now make it 5) but dig it, or don't!

What's the weight of a box? In the US, I'd say cheapest is usually going to be parcel post. Although sometimes priority can be almost the same and the faster delivery is usually worth it. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Some cards like hymn and therapy have promo versions of them on MTGO, are those tournament playable? Im asking mainly because they are 4x cheaper than non-foil versions..
