I have almost a spare playset of rav duals. Which ones do you need?

I can't seem to follow the logic that would point otherwise. There are already million+ old copies out there. Lots of people already have their copies so the demand should be lower than the last time those lands were in standard. It will be the most heavily opened set in history... this should be especially apparent when magic online redemption starts kicking in. How much were zendikar fetchlands (which didn't have old copies available on the market) worth during their time in T2 environment?

That's the same view I've subscribed to. Not sure 5 is the correct number, probably slightly higher than that but definitely below 10 edit: @Solon - even if sales figures do not beat zendikar, which I think it will, there's still the supply of shocks from RAV.

I don't know about you guys, but I have never seen as much hype and excitement for a set to come out. People are asking me for boxes like mad.I also think the price of Rav duals is going to be $5 for some of them. Part of the reason for making this block was to do that, and stabilize Modern staples. I think they're definitely making a push towards that format. So unless their plan doesn't work (which it totally will), I can see the lands dropping, especially the ones that don't see as much play in standard.

supposedly AVR already did. If you think rav won't beat avr I'm fairly sure you're mistaken.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Zendikar isn't the standard anymore. I thought I remember reading that Innistrad had surpassed Zendikar. I think the prices will be ~$10 for the blue ones and just a shade under for everything else. Overgrown Tomb might stay in the $10ish range as well as Jund and Golgari Zombies seem to be popular already. As Pippincro said, there is an established supply. I think the reason prices are trending upward slightly is people want them now to have access to them for FNMs and SCG Opens right away instead of waiting on pre-orders or trading for them out of packs. With only the original copies to supply the demand for now people are paying the premium. Zen fetches were a solid $10 after the initial hype wore off and packs were cracked. Everybody that played when Ravnica was first around loved it and everyone that missed it has heard how awesome it was from everyone else that didn't and they're excited. So that puts me in the "this will be the best selling set of all-time" camp.

Except everyone is forgetting that the supply will essentially be tripled, not doubled. Rares in Ravnica were R1s, Rares nowadays are R2s, with Mythics being R1s.

more than tripled seeing as 1) it's more common due to mythics being introduced 2) it's redeemable via mtgo 3) it will most definitely sell in higher volumesso what's the basis of the price holding is my question
