Grrr, I hate it when ebay sellers misrepresent an item's condition and clearly gouge you on shipping. Such a hassle. What perecentage off do you think is fair for a card that's advertised as "mint condition" but clearly arrives in something closer to SP? __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I was just denied delivery confirmation on a bubble mailer because it was less than 3/4" thick. Is this a new policy?

The 3/4" has been policy for some time. Most post offices just don't enforce it or let is slide if you have pre-printed postage on the item from PayPal. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Just use the automatic machine if there is one.

keep packing peanuts.. it helps "fatten" the envelope without really adding weight © __________________ Since it is obviously inconceivable that all religions can be right, the most reasonable conclusion is that they are all wrong. -Christopher HitchensReligion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful. -Seneca the Younger

I used to be able to just slap DC on a bubble mailer. Then one time i went in and he said no... but then reconsidered and "let it slide." So next time I threw in a few packing peanuts and then he said it had to be sent something different because of irregular shape (due the the packing peanut). I now just print my own postage w/o any problem. If I can't for whatever reason, I would use the automated postal machine at the post office to mail it that way. It seems once postage is on it and its in the system there isn't any thickness requirement so just get it past that front counter and you're fine.

I prefer the automated machine cause I don't want to stand in line but I can never get it to give me the option for DC. I asked the guy at the counter about it and he told me they don't really know how it works.

you just have to select first class package. If you tell it that its an envelope you can't get it unless you're using priority mail. edit: The DC slip it spits out is a tad large for #000 envelopes, but it is kinda workable.

Turning creatures sideways aggressively. Not much of a backup plan. Ignore your own life total and just lay the beats. Stompy was aggro and usually a deck with goblin guide is aggro. Usually a pretty linear deck to play.

I know how you feel. I've been dying since I got back into magic. People, even articles on Wizard's site, have been throwing around terms like "bant" and "naya" with zero explanation. They are taking me forever to find out where they are from and then remembering what they mean. As best I have surmised, any term I don't recognize is typically a color combination that was named in the Shards of Alara sets or the name of one of the guilds from the Guildpact sets. :P

You pretty much go it right. It is amazing how much lingo is crammed into strategy articles. I think most authors forget that new players are coming in all the time and even a term that's just a couple years old is just not familiar to a lot of them. But don't worry...you'll be all too familiar with the guild names very soon. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

Would Ghost Quarter be a good budget replacement for Wasteland in Legacy?

I completely forgot about Dust Bowl. If I can't pick up Wastelands, I'll try to get 2-3 Dust Bowls. Thanks for the tip.

No, the goal of Wasteland is to set your opponent back while only setting yourself back equally.
Ghost Quarter still gives them a land and Dust bowl costs mana and a land

Its generally easier to quickly identify a color combination instead of always referring to your deck as White-Blue-Green Birthing Pod you can just say Bant Pod. All the two color combinations were covered in the original Ravnica block, half of the three color combinations were covered in Alara block, and the other three color combinations haven't had a good naming scheme so they don't have anything catchy just yet.
