I personally don't think that creature is all that bad. Yeah if you just slap it in a random deck its going to be awful. But the fact its a creature with that ability is going to be fun to use in a primal surge ramp deck. My friend made one for standard that may not be the best, but is a lot of fun to play. Skaarg Goliath may be expensive but bloodrush gives a little utility to the card.

I'd agree with you on the waste of a rare slot, but I think having a bunch of these floating around at uncommon in sealed could be annoying.

Ideally, I want some more creatures like Augur of Bolas. Decently costed card filtering attached to creatures. It's high time red got one that looks specifically for sorceries at 2-3cmc with a decent body.

Probably not the most playable card in the set but I think it'll find decks immediately because people want to try out the new planeswalker, but will likely then settle into a UW control deck that really uses him well. White has two planeswalkers now, as does blue, so a superfriends deck is not only viable, but probably very good when fine-tuned.

Actually...I forgot...he's battling for a spot at the 4 drop slot from Restoration Angel, Sorin, LOI...JACE, AOT, and Supreme Verdict.

How many do you expect to see thrown into a deck with that in mind?
