Like the devotion mechanic, and fits flavor wise. So, if you counter a spell played with bestow cost, it goes to grave correct?

I would assume so ^^^. But if it the new archon (I think that's the one) is bestow casted and countered. does it count as an aura in the graveyard and can be targeted as such? Or just its type and subtypes?

Can we just start playing sealed without the rares/mythics if that's what they are gonna do?

Not an aura unless it's cast onto the battlefield using bestow. Anything outside of the battlefield zone only checks type and subtype.

I got a feeling that since we've yet to see 3 types of plainswalkers (green/blue, green/white, blue/black) that Theros will contain one of those.

Can't say I'm a fan of Steve Prescott art, of course can't say I'm not either. Just never really paid any attention to his stuff I guess. I will say that his concept illustrations are beautiful though.

Could be no walkers since the gods are supposed to be the powerful things in Theros. If there are walkers and gods, which is more powerful? It would be a mistake flavor wise to print walkers that said, flavor is boring, good cards keep things interesting. Wouldn't mind seeing that u/g fish walker that keep being danged out there. There is also Dak that I thought I heard was due out in this block.... but could be mistaken.

They have announced there are three planeswalkers in the first set and one of them is Elspeth.

Edit: I think I found it. lol Also, I read somewhere wotc likes to do 5 planeswalkers per block. No more. No less. So if they have 3 in the first set, that leaves 2 for the remaining 2 sets. 1 per set I assume. ~Revenger __________________ 28th in refs on Motl! #1 Ref's for Arizona! I'm pretty sure that's not correct, at least not totally - they did 6 in M13 for example (which isn't a block, so maybe you didn't mean that) (core 5 + bolas) and there were 6 in Zendikar, right? I don't think that core sets are treated the same as blocks for this kind of thing. Also, Zendikar was unusual with ROE being a large set and was a bit disjointed from the rest of the block, so an extra Planeswalker isn't too surprising. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Yea, that makes sense, but "no more no less" was pretty absolute.

Magma Jet back in Standard is interesting....but I think the magic number set is 3? Sure its probably still good but would like to trade for a Reckoner if possible.
