I feel standard does need to slow down a bit, but not to Kamigawa block levels. That would make it extremely less interesting IMO.

Not that I want to steal it from anyone, but is there a good pauper cube for me to model off of?

That red god seems really good. And a new utopia tree but better. Not bad so far. Limited looks to be crazy fun tho.

Red god looks playable, especially with young pyromancer. Would love to see a ball lightning reprint in Theros.

I think all those newer players should have to suffer through Kamigawa just like I did. I'm ready for Kamigawa 2, so ready. Also, I love Purphoros and his hammer. Especially his hammer.

Also a 0/3, instead of a 0/2, which makes it way sweeter

Red god is definitely awesome. But Master of Waves hits a flavor home run. I want WotC to do top down design more often, so awesome.

UWR Control may be a thing post rotation.Red God and Assemble the Legion is so money together. And then you have Aetherling, Supreme Verdict, Sphinx's Revelation, Magma Jet (supposedly). Or even better with Naya! Mystic, new Utopia Tree, Domri, Red God, Reckoner, Emissary. And use Assemble as curve topper. Maybe I should go to sleep instead of rambling.

Though it has defender and Utopia Tree didn't. Green could totally find cases to buff and swing with Tree :P

I meant like since the format is going to slow down to draw go, sphinx would be really good. It's going to be super amazing when everyone has 4 six drops and 3 two mana removals in hand

I love the flavor of this set so far. Artwork, etc. I'm still hoping for something to beef-up legacy enchantress though. If enchantment theme continues throughout the block I suppose we'll have to wait for the third set to come out before giving up all hope.

Mtg sally's cube forum is actually good and not overmoderated like the rest of it. I have a good tribal pauper cube list. There's tons of the more standard pauper cubs on mtg sally tho.

Ha, didn't think of it that way, but I'll still take the 0/3 over being able to attack quote: Originally posted by fluffycow: I meant like since the format is going to slow down to draw go, sphinx would be really good. That's not what I got from your post obviously, but I agree with your statement now!

Maybe I'm reading Devotion wrong, but I don't think the tokens give you more of it.

I think he meant the Red god's ability that triggers with each token.

Yeah I did. Hehe. There are so much casual and flavor gold in this set so far. But the Red God is the only one that I am excited about for Constructed play.
