As a bar manager in Vegas, I can say with some confidence that it's not being "clueless" - it's much more about the unwillingness to be wrong, and the assumption that suffering any amount of embarassment requires compensation of some form. Unfortunately, some people decide to take compensation in the form of lashing out. It's sad, and more importantly it's incorrect. There ARE times in every person's life where they are simply at fault, or in the wrong. Being unable to accept the situation often leads to even worse consequences. In my line of business, it's this kind of thought process that leads drunk guys to think they can take on a 300lb security guard that used to play Division I football, much to my amusement.

I'm currently looking for board answers to true name for gw maverick, the best i can come up with is either sword of fire and ice or even sword of body and mind(to ignore goyf) to just out race them. Any thoughts on other options?

Wrath of God, Wing Shards? Or is a "board answer" a permanent that can deal with the situation? Powder Keg?

If someone put up 2 toxic deluge for $13 + $2 shipping, then refunded my money and apologized for listing them at the wrong price, would you leave negative feedback or just let it slide?

Is it an obvious misprice? (Serious question since I'm not sure how much these are going for.) Such as if they're worth $13 each so listing two at $13 is a fairly obvious mistake. If that's the case, I'd let it slide. Mistakes happen to everyone and you would probably appreciate someone letting something like that slide if you ever made such a mistake. I'd leave neg if it was something that went up in price and the seller just decided not to honor the sale.

Yeah, they're selling between $10-12 each. Alright, I'll let it slide. Karma replacement for when the guy last year honored my purchase of a $17 Karakas.

Running a mini-masters game night at my wife's school. A few observations from watching pre-teen players. -Planeswalkers are gods with these kids. Even Tibalt gets ooh and aahs when he hits play. -In casual, take backs are an essential part of the game state. -Again, no card you can have in your deck beats having a Planeswalker.__________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I get 2-3 listings a week refunded to me every week due to people not paying attention. 1/4 of them are people posting $.99 BIN and not auction. These I usually let slide but say to pay attention. Now the people that flat out scam I send negative to. I hate when they tie up my money. Don't know how people feel they will pull a fast one on eBay.

I have made similar observations at a local store where a bunch of parents come play and bring their kids. When one of the kids cracks a pack and gets a mythic, they all oo and ah over it, even if its pretty worthless (Enter the Infinite was last example that came to mind). And they all want to trade for your Planeswalkers and nothing else. --Evil

I always assumed that it was because most good players have 3-round byes. __________________ There's no need to fear, UNDERDOG is here! All your Gruul Nodorogs are belong to me. Trade them to me, please! Report rules violations. Remember the Auctions Board!

Yes but we could have had 3 rounds of watching the Meddling Mage play in a legacy tourney. I think it would be better to give newer players a chance to be on Camera and not just the same pros. __________________ Member Since 03/28/2001 12000+ posts 1st in posts in Ontario and Canada 9th in posts on MOTL 5th in Refs in Ontario Pushing to get to top 100 in MOTL Refs

Yup. Draft last night, guy opens Ashiok and almost collapses in pure ecstasy. He was playing RG and double splashed for it.

Hate people like that in draft... Had one draft pack 2 two guys open a PW, and switch not one but two colors in order to force draft a deck to play it, ruins the whole draft when this happens, as everyone else is forced to change or draft medicore decks... In that draft 7/8 players basically lost round one for all intents and purposes as only one player had anything even remotely playable...and said player ended up 100% undefeated. He got lucky and was between the two who switched, and ended up in the colors they left. Draft ended up with like 6 people forcing green, 7 forcing red, 7 forcing black, and 5 forcing white, and the one guy drafting blue :P __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. Was able to go undefeated with mono green Friday night due to the exact same situation. Five of eight players draft red while I'm inexplicably having Nessian Asp table. __________________ The Mana Source

I drafted last night and also opened an Ashiok in pack 1. I also nearly collapsed in pure ecstacy because I actually got to play it because EVERYONE at a 10-man table passed me all sorts of UBW goodness. I didn't lose a game. It was glorious. I love you peoples and thank you for all the packs! __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds.
