Except its 20+ people hoping there is one dumb person. But in all honesty standard is all over the place in values and stability. And modern is almost a year away in season so its hard for dealers to pay too much. I mean a lot of cards have dropped DRS

Chandra... Some spiked and fell in less than a week or two. Others like garruk, verdict... have stabilized.

I suspect it is the sign in the window saying they buy gold. But for those that know the pricing it could be that too. Anyway, I don't think it looks that shady.

Standard is not an excuse, you have people buying NM Liliana for $20 shipped, even below SCG's buy price.

I live in NW Indiana and while I never been there (Roselle is a bit far just to check out a shop) they advertise alot on CL, and since it's more Pawn Shop than your traditional games store maybe people get a negative vibe from that.

5 instants for delvers..? You need 10+ for them to work well.

I recently made a foray into EDH/Commander, to see what all the fuss was about. It's pretty fun. My deckbuilding skills clearly need some work, but I'm generally quite happy to stomp around with my mono-green Vorinclex deck. Reminds me of the good old days when we sucked as much as ours cards did.Perhaps I'll give mono-B zombies a spin next. Just for the hell of it. __________________

I agree with this sentiment. Almost all of my early magic playing was 4+ player free-for-all anyway.

East/West Paladins died at some point and are zombies now btw. It's funny because they are so bad, yet people consistently play into them. B/U zombies can be fun with all of the new stuff from Innistrad (5U, "all zombies are free" is quite nice). Also B/G golgari stuff, etc.

Yeah fair point. I've done about 10 INS drafts now and I'm slowly getting better, but still end up with terrible decks half the time. Fun format though.
