Yeah, TCG mid is $43 on Meditate right now, but it doesn't mean that any are actually selling anywhere close to that high. I've noticed that a lot with these recent price spikes, that the mid price gets badly skewed by just a couple vendors listing the card at a real high value (after all reasonable price stock has been cleaned out), just to see what bites they may get...

Also, the TCG market price shows they've been selling for about $7 a pop. The bottom line is that TCG mid has become completely useless. I don't know why they won't just use their market price data like they do with the low, mid and high.__________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. When cards have extremely low stock it's very easy to pump the TCG mid price. Some people have speculated that nefarious parties are doing this in part to throw off the pucatrade algorithm. If you can buyout TCG of a cheap card then quickly dump them on unsuspecting puca users you can get a ton of points.Ah, I see somebody also pointed this out on the last page.

So, today, I traded my ROE Eye of Ugin to my LGS for $20. I then used that to get Endbringer, Mirror Pool, a common I needed...and 3 packs of Conspiracy. As I'm waiting for one employee to grab the packs, I' m engaged in some small talk with the other employee and I'm saying I hope I crack a Dack Fayden, "and not another bloody foil Brainstorm."Well, foreshadowing aside, I did indeed crack a foil Brainstorm in the 3rd pack. Which I then walk back up, and trade in for 5 more packs of Conspiracy. Was the foreshadowing enough? 4th pack, Dack. Thank you, $5 Eye of Ugin
and my cube deck from this evening; http://40.media.tumblr.com/7b2b29a90e15a34b0ee6cde1f8617ddf/tumblr_o4h0jiffUY1rmv6v2o1_1280.jpg

Dwarven pony + Storm Crow is the most broken comb ever. Both cards are sooo overpowered and broken. Neither should have been printed. __________________ 30th in refs on Motl! #1 Ref's for Arizona! http://manaloopforum.eastus.cloudapp.azure.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=15&sid=76c14b01a8a431dfc874e96d7f3ea124 Your 2008, 2010 & 2012 Siskel & Ebert award winner! This is ridiculous, why would they unban sword of the meek? That doesn't promote diversity, it's just another proven combo that's going to suppress other midrange decks. Unbanning Jace tms would have been safer...end rant

Thopter Sword has to deal with two cards (Kolaghan's Command & Abrupt Decay) in modern that it didn't have to deal with in Extended

I wouldn't believe Thopter Sword to be competitive in modern. Fun, yes. Definitely something I'm happy about. But not tier 1. Abrupt decay, Scavenging ooze, and Qasali Pridemage are everywhere. Also, it gets splash damage from sideboards containing answers to Affinity and Lantern control (which weren't things in extended) with cards like Kataki, War's Wage and Reclamation Sage. I'm not even convinced it races Gavony Township that well with the threat of Orzhov Pontiff coming down in Coco decks. Heck, even Affinity runs Surgical Extraction in the sideboard. The only thing I see happening with the unbannings is ancestral vision showing up in some red decks. I'm kind of unhappy Eye of Ugin got the Axe. I'd prefer Tron to not lose any power, and Eye of Ugin not stacking seems less dangerous than Temple into Temple. No one's being locked out on turn 3 or 4 to a lone Eye of Ugin.

Premature to say it won't be competitive, been a lot of cards printed since last time it was legal in a non-legacy format, perhaps with Tezzeret their is a chance we have something, but it is possible that's not good enough for tier 1.5 or anything.

I'm aware. That's why I'm irritated that I traded them away for $6 a few weeks ago.

Looks to be a small price drop in Ancestral Vision [time spiral], was ~$50 mid Tuesday afternoon when I traded mine in.Thopter Foundry is also down by about $2-3 for either printing. Sword of the Meek is still a $20 uncommon, lol. Goddamn. Magic, is frak'n crazy.

Premium 2-mana removal that gets rid of multiples of the same creature. Really good against tokens. Not sure if its a spike for standard, or modern - but it's gota be good somewhere for this to happen.

People started testing new standard. Probably one of the top 5 cards of the set. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

I guess it will be quite good against the current crop of standard creatures. Avacyn 3's ETB trigger doesn't stop it. It can effectively deal with Thing in the Ice (But I don't see that actually being a standard deck type...). Zombies look to be a thing - maybe - and it permanently deals with Relentless Dead. Also deals nicely with all the tokens generated by Diregraf Colossus, From Under the Floorboards, Gisas's Bidding, Sigarda, Gideon, Kalitas. And deals nicely with Collected Company decks - that often spit out multiples of the same creature. Not sure how important that's going to be in a Modern environment though.
