To be fair, just one person would be more than I would expect Meanwhile, drafted for the first time in something like nine months last night. Ended up with a sweet UB eldrazi deck that didn't drop a game all night. Also managed open a Kalitas, which was one of the few cards I actually want from this set. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. Send them my way.

It almost feels like the power creep has finally caught up to wizards. I guess it's all about them thar planeswalkers now... and creatures are the simple solution for killing them, so they have to be efficient. They found that land destruction and efficient countermagic were bad for the game, and people didn't like losing to a combo, but it feels like they never looked into how players felt about being beat by efficient creatures in 4 turns. To think that Shadowmage Infiltrator, Exalted Angel, and Spiritmonger were once some of the best creatures.... and that was WITH good countermagic / combo decks / land kill / etc.

I'd be surprised if they don't cancel all orders made during this malfunction.

They did, but I was physically in the store making my order As soon as I got my cards they removd all OGW from their inventory and called all the customers to cancel. Last week they had a Zendikar Goblin Guide FOIL for 39$ CDN, that I bought :P

That is why magic players should not complain about stores taking advantage of players with huge markup on hot items; cause players do the same by taking advantage of them

Biggest thing MOTL is missing is a "Like" button. Don't bitch the store out if you missed the boat on a card.

Is that the same as when stores tell you that they magically oversold on a card and then 10 minutes later, they have the same stock up at a higher price? Just like that, right? __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. I lose all sympathy for stores that pull stuff like this. If you were fine selling it at the listed price yesterday, then you should just suck it up and learn a lesson on watching for pricing shifts. It's not like the B&R update, pro-tours, and SCG circuit are unknown quantities in the magic world at this point. Barring the recent accidental leak from the MTGO beta, most of those happen like clockwork and should be easy to anticipate. __________________ Wisconsin - smells like dairy air!I collect Granite Gargoyles. I'm not sure what that is but I did play brews the only two times I've played sanctioned standard.

I also don't know what you mean by this exactly, but I've been playing my own Jund brew for a few weeks now. __________________ "Message to women worldwide: Girls....we're stupid. We don't like games. We don't know games. We can't read minds. Say it like you mean or STFU." -rockondonSale Thread

Jace and Stoneforge were never banned in block. Does that count?

I think jace tms being banned in standard would also make it banned in build your own standard. Build your own standard is where build a deck from a card pool made of any two blocks (ice age and on) along with any core set 5th edition and on. I really want to make ub control and just wanted to hear some opinions from the format of anyone had played before.

Whatever you build I'd plan for it having to go up against mirrodin + scars + m15(?) affinity. That seems like the obvious aggro deck.

All of the Affinity pieces were banned in standard and block. I kinda want to do UG Madness or UB Tog. Those are really strong decks that are entirely contained within a single block. Seems like a good start to just add things here and there. But I didn't play back then and have absolutely no idea where to begin building. This isn't a supported format so testing is pretty much nil until the day of the event. Half the fun is brewing but I don't want to waste my time on a pile though.
