Knock it off MasterWolf.

Votes due Thursday doesn't mean "until midnight on Thursday in whatever time zone MasterWolf lives in".

The standing rule is that votes are due 9 PM Eastern on whatever day MM says they are due. If you can't get it in by 9 PM eastern, then you shouldn't expect to have your vote counted. If you vote late but are lucky enough to get it in before MM posts, then maybe he'll be good enough to count it.

MM busts his butt putting these games together while juggling a job and a family. Sure we are all eager to play but you are really acting like a jerk. So much for "not getting emotional" over these games, ey?

If you want be sure your vote gets in you should vote early in the round and then send in a second vote later... at least that way if you can't make it in time for your final vote, you still have a vote in.

Sorry about that, I spewed off in anger and said some things I shouldn't have. I'm frustrated, but most of that is just anger at myself. Mafia's deadline is midnight MOTL time, I must have gotten them confused. I'm just mad that I've missed so many votes. MM: Can you please add that votes are due by 9pm to the rules on the first page?

Also, it's hard to know the "Standing rules" when you've only played once or twice.

I'd like to apologize to MM and whoever else read that crap I posted earlier.

That *is* weird. I hadn't considered that. Given what he thought, the mistake he thought we were all making, it's bizarre he did not change his vote. I think I'm going to assign a little more wolf weight for that. It's a shame you were unable to post that earlier in the round.

It's also unfortunate that JSP turns out to be a cit. That kind of shoots down my strong wolf/junior wolf theory. Sorry Jack!

I'm going to hold off on further analysis until the wolf kill is in.

I see now why these games are popular, they do sort of suck you in.

Good luck cits, thanks for an interesting 1st time.

I had already submitted my vote for Thanos when I made that post. I was working on my thesis which was due on Monday and wasn't sure if I would be making it on between then...and no this is not an AlmasterGM production.

Also I'm sorry Jack, I thought you were a wolf for sure...

Answering question fail.

That doesn't tell us why you did not change your vote once you got "that feeling". As has been covered, I had the same gut instinct and, when paired with the pile's uncontrollable growth, I decided I'd back off and hope others would do the same. Irrespective of the wiseness in the decision to post what you did (that's a dead horse that's been beaten enough, and it bears little relevance to the real confusion), the question remains: why, if you thought Thanos was the angel, did you not switch your vote??? Paper or not, it's not terribly time-consuming to announce your vote change for someone else you find suspicious, and send your vote change in to MM.

Also, @ populace at large: I know I said I'd post analysis today, but with the exception of this post I intend to stay quiet until R3 begins.

I'm not sure if MM can vouch for the fact about when I sent in my vote or the fact that I have never vote changed (nor realized that you can).

However it was just a feeling, much like the times you play around cards while playing Magic. Sometimes you're right, sometimes you're wrong. Regardless of the way I felt, it didn't feel strong enough for me to change my vote then, and later when everyone else was bashing my choice of posting (rightfully I might add), I got too caught up in the verbal diarhea to even think about changing it.

Bernek, can you explain what exactly has you so riled up? Is it that people are posting during night phase, or what?

Coming from you Bernek, that's a hoot. How many times does it have to be explained to you--that cat is out of the bag, that ship has sailed, the genie is out of the bottle.

Screeching at people who mention XPR's ill-advised round 1 musings only serves to DRAW ATTENTION to exactly that which you wish everyone would shut up about. So shut up about it already and stop having histrionics whenever someone brings it up.

As it is, it's a very pertinent line of questioning to pursue--XPR's vote makes little sense considering what he thought at the time--so that line of questioning is going to get pursued, which means XPR's sorry statement is probably going to get revisited and repeated.

GET OVER IT ALREADY. At this point there is NOBODY who missed it, and there are possible benefits to keeping it in the public's consciousness that you are too busy being upset to see. But silencing discussion is (a) the death of this game and (b) not going to help at this point.

Stop freaking out over spilled milk. Move on.

{SUMMARY: Losing patience with Bernek's irascibility.}

You are freaking kidding me. That's what he's mad about? What a bloody hypocrite. Bernek, how many times have people had to tell YOU to shut up because you keep blurting out things that help the wolves? If it bothers you so much, maybe you could try not doing it yourself.

Sheesh.

You really didn't know that? {SUMM: explains how to switch votes to XPR.}

I actually didn't know you could switch votes once submitted. However, I did hear of people switching votes before and naturally assumed that they claimed to vote for someone but voted for someone else.

There are several things I'm not getting here.
1) You say you didn't know votes were able to change. Then could you explain to me why, were votes locked in, I made a post saying I was going to switch?? What possible motive could I have for claiming to switch and actually not?? How would that not grab immediate attention? And furthermore, why in the hell would I even phrase it that way if I was worried about Thanos having a special role and I didn't want him to get lynched? If that was my goal (in a system where votes are locked in), do you have any idea of how immediately I would have been jumped on for claiming to do something impossible?
2) Also, you mention in a previous post that:

quote:
Originally posted by XplicitR:

what? Changing it?
EDIT:
3) What conclusion did you come to about Liq's behaviour then? If votes were locked in, why would he claim to change his vote around 4 or 5 different times if he was not able to???

This is going to need further attention than I can devote ATM. But for now, my suspicions of XPR have been raised slightly.

That is enough. If people are just going to whine and cry, I'd be happy to close this thread down and ban this type of game. If you can't all get along and enjoy a simple game without turning it into a big argument about who's upset about what and who's got a temper and all, then we don't need the games to begin with.

For starters, people post who they are voting for, however this changes many times before they actually submit their vote, or so I thought.

Also when I had said what I thought about Thanos, I had no idea that was the reason that you had changed. It was also a suspicion not a fact like most things on here and I didn't feel that it was strong enough to go on. Also I believe I had sent in my vote at that time because of school commitments that I had to work on.

When I see Liq posting, I always assumed it was his suspicions, not that he sent the votes in at the time that he posted. That actually never occured to me.

Anyways we can go over this more after the kill.

Had it not been consistently brought up even after the miss there would be no issue. I admit I make mistakes but not after it has been placed in plain sight. Why on earth would the two of you keep on bringing it up. It does not concern you what role anyone has except the wolves. That should be brought up only after their death and then be revisited. And if you feel as though you might know their role you dont bring it up.

But having been unfortunately brought up, this particular notion cannot be "unknown" again. And if you'd like to know why on earth you might keep bringing it up I'll be happy to explain it to you after the game. Suffice it to say that just because you have an unbagged cat it doesn't mean there isn't a way to turn it to your advantage. I have an intuition that your worst fears are not going to be realized, anyway. In principle (BEFORE the fact) you are absolutely correct, AFTER the fact, unless it was a minor slip as opposed to a brazen announcement, not as much.

Chill my good man, chill.

@PD my last post was not in anger or in the premise of being upset. I was just stating how I felt.

@Bugger yes I am upset over that and I have every right to be. The interaction between you and Xplicitr can cause us one of our assets. The two of you spoke about something that neither of you should have. If you are not wolves then your only concern is finding wolves!

Thanos, the seer, has been eaten by the Wolves.

Is this our last game?
Seriously. The last word of that sentence is the key.
