It could very well just be lag for me, but pistols seem to take a lot more than 3 shots... especially the classified one that you can make full auto. The pythons are awesome... that is my secondary (akimbo) with my run and gun class.

The damage on pistols drops substantially after 10 meters. Switching the pistol to full auto drops its damage to 20 per shot across all ranges (ie if i was standing directly in front of you, you would still need to hit me 5 times to kill me).

At least they will be cooler than in the Hollywood movies, eh?

The M60's damage drops from 50 (ie a 2-shot kill) to 40 (3 shot kill) at a distance of 25 meters. I have been using it over every ar (haven't unlocked the AK) for objective games. It's amazing how many times the same person will run through the same spot trying to get you back for killing them.....

wow... remind me to never put auto fire on that damn pistol.... that is TERRIBLE... I've been using that thing pretty much the entire time /facepalm.

For assault rifles, the G11 is disgustingly good, and i also like the m16. If you like the M60, try the stoner 63... that thing is ridiculous, it doesn't start at 50 dmg, just a standard 40 over all distances, but it fire almost twice as fast as the M60.

So I check the cords, and everything seems fine, and it tells me there is no cord plugged in... and the modem lights indicate that there is no connection. I switch cords, try different ports... nothing. I plug the same cord into my laptop and poof... it works, so the issue is with the connector on my xbox. Now that I think about it, my xbox was moved a bit.

Me: Wife, did you do anything to the xbox?
Wife: Nope
Me: you didn't move it, or bump it, or change the cord?
Wife: Nope
Me: Did you trip over the cord?
Wife: <silence>

So apparently, she decided to connect her laptop via suuuuper long cable to the router... and tangled it in the xbox ethernet cable. When she tripped over the cord, it almost yanked the 360 off the stand via the cable. After some wiggling of the cord, it connects...

My question: Does anyone use the usb wireless adapter for the 360? Is it any good, and does it specifically work as good as wired for online gaming? I have another 2 years left on my xbox warranty, but I don't want to not play black ops for the next 4-6 weeks it takes to get fixed, and fall worlds behind my younger brother.

I use the wireless adapter. Had a few issues with it with regards to connecting to xboxlive parties and NCAA games and Halo parties. Don't know what the issue is, but think it's the internet, not the adapter. Reset it and it's fine. I prefer ethernet cord.

Bethesda's RPGs have become progressively worse since Morrowind, my favorite RPG of all time. I wish they'd return to that formula: Simple yet deep game, with a massive world, intertwining faction storylines, a house you can buy and build up by completing quests, and a grand storyline that you feel like more than a cursory part of. I played morrowind for 350+ hours; oblivion, around 60, and F3 around 30. I want more of what made Morrowind good.

To be fair, Bioware also took out my favorite part of Mass Effect (planet landing and exploration) for ME 2, and I dislike KoTOR/KoTOR2 due to being too linear and repetitive. Because I hold out hope that bethesda will make me a new Morrowind, I find myself more excited for Elder Scrolls V than ME3 or a new Fallout.
