As opposed to "shoot gun at someone -> get knifed" and "Spawn -> get tubed from across the map"? Guess which I'd take?

I'm still in search of a good reason to keep my 360 though. Reach isn't good enough to make me keep my console on its own- one game doesn't justify keeping something I could sell for $150 or so. I haven't played any sports games in ages so I think it's time to take a look at NHL 10. I loved NHL 93 way back in the day and I have a group of people to play 10 with. Still have yet to find something as expansive as Morrowind with similar gameplay for my RPG fix, Oblivion doesn't come close and I don't like FF and am indifferent to SO4. Basically I can't find modern games in the genres I traditionally like to play. Blah. Disappointing time as far as video games..

The only recommendation I have is Tales of Vesperia. It doesn't have the gameplay that Morrowind does, but it is still VERY expansive in that department nonetheless. Otherwise, I don't have much - sorry. I don't play mine online, but I don't think I would sell my 360 with a 20GB hard drive, 2 controllers (1 wired/1 wireless) and my data for $150. I've never even played SO4 or Half-Life 2 yet anyway.

So is Fifa 10....virtual pro mode is fun as can be.

As for the comparison between cheap ways to kill comparatively between Halo and COD: At least the general population that plays Halo doesn't use the Plasma Pistol to Battle Rifle kill - it is generally looked down upon to the point where people don't do it, whereas there is still a steady stream of players that use Grenade Launchers, Commando Pro/Tac Knife, and RPGs all the time.

Personally, I think I get more upset with the Tac Knife bullcrap, because more people do it. And I hate shotgunning someone and having them knife me shortly thereafter without my shotgun doing any damage.

Me and my friends began playing a variant where you start with a random weapon when you respawn (in Halo). It's actually really fun.

I don't actually care what strategy any given person uses in an FPS- they're in the game, making them valid strategies, and i despise any player group that tries to arbitrarily declare a strategy is unfavorable/shouldn't be used. I was merely pointing out that there's stuff in MW2 that sucks to lose to just as bad as stuff in Halo.

I do find it a bit of an error in realism and fun, though, that you can knife someone despite the fact that they're shooting you in the chest.

Part of my problem finding something to play is that only one of my friends plays online with 360, so like, I can't buy a game with expectations of enjoying co-op/online.

My big dilemma is that I really need to get the PS3 version, since my current PC isn't really going to play the game well, but I already know that I'll eventually have to pick up a new copy down the road that's either for the PC when I get a good one or for the PS3 when they have the GOTY edition or something that includes all of the DLC material, since I'm sure it'll be the same as Fallout 3 where PS3 gets hosed with no option to get the new content as it comes out.

The only issue is that they HAVE to have noob tubes, and RPG's in the game... what they shouldn't have is one man army reloading them. If those were not in the game, camping would become even more dominant than it already is. As far as realism goes, you saw a sniper round come out of a building window... you're going to send a rocket in there, a noob tube, or a grenade.

If you hate noob tubes and tac knifes, play hardcore team deathmatch. Knifing generally fails, and tubes kill your own team half the time, same with random grenades. If you're playing richochet rules, you blow up a team mate, you die, not them.

The killstreak system in MW2 is what annoys me the most. That encourages camping more than anything, imo. One Man Army encourages it too, but not to the same degree. In tactical games very few people actually play to win (such as in domination or headquarters), many just play for kills.

I however was killed in a damn funny way... guy throws a care package, its a chopper gunner... he lets it sit for a sec, then throws an emergency care drop beside it, then throws a smoke grenade on it.... i ventured into the smoke to try and steal the chopper gunner.... he got his damn achievement for killing someone with a crate...the bastard.
