Yet to top that off, I have to get Etrian Odyssey I/II and The Dark Spire somehow without ripping my leg off. Bah.
Master of Orion II is the best of the lot. I forget what was the 'best' race, I think it was Industry +2, Unification, and something. Gave you a 6 turn colony base when you start at Pre-Warp.

i got a buddy that played final fantasy with four white mages, i think he put about six months into it before some little kid accidently took the game out of the NES. I'm surprised he didn't kill that kid. As for me i was a huge fan of FF2 and 3. And Final Fantasy 8. Took me a few tries but i wasted the Omega Weapon.

Thanks for the tip. Considering how much I enjoyed Master of Magic and people say Orion II is as good or better (although different), I can't wait to start! I was able to get The Dark Spire and Etrian Odyssey I, but the excessive (and intuitively useless) wall-drawing required to complete EO1 is rather painful. You shouldn't need to draw many walls in a game where paths almost never run adjacent to each other. The game speed is painful too. Even dungeon-crawlers are easier than they were in the old days.

Chrono Trigger, FF6 and Lufia 2 are all pure gold. I played the **** out of all of them back in the day and don't regret a single second of it.

Been watching a lot of vids for COD: Black ops:positives: much more available customization for guns, skins, camo, facepaint, sites, etc. -marathon doesn't give unlimited sprint, just extended -you don't unlock attachments and guns by level only, you gain in game currency by playing, and can purchase attachments and such, so you unlock them in whatever order you want -shotguns have extremely limited range negatives so far: -the remote control car bomb looks broken as hell as a 3 kill streak in the vids. -no stopping power, pretty much everything takes 4-5 shots to kill -attack dogs... /facepalm With people taking far more hits before dying, you will see a hell of a lot more halo jumping around in the game. Hutch actually blasts one guy with his famas while getting shot at, switches to his magnums while jumping around getting hit, and finishes the guy off with pistols...
Still think it has a lot of potential though, definitely going to buy it, but i am a fan of MW2, so we will see.

I don't feel that Dragon Age is that strong in the gameplay department, but that's a relative opinion only.If you play as a Soldier or Infiltrator in either ME, you essentially are playing a TPS that still allows you to control all of your AI's skills though - at the cost of fighting with squishy allies. Vesperia's story isn't well paced, but it's a JRPG with more gameplay depth and replayability than...well...I could put into words I guess. The combat is a little slow (similar to the Melee -> Brawl transition), but it is smooth throughout.
Having just finished playing mass effect twice (and planning to buy ME2 soon)... QFT. Not only is soldier mildly boring (and you're practically forced to saddle yourself with allies that have the durability of balsa wood), you're missing out on pretty much all the fun if you're not at least partly biotic. The best shielding effect in the game plus disgusting radial attacks is too good to miss. Lift in particular is awesome...hurls everyone nearby into the air making them easy pickings. I've done a vanguard twice and I'm about 1/4 way through with an adept (the first time around). __________________ (Humans) are stubborn, self-destructive conformists. Before it goes too far, I should warn everybody that ME2 is essentially a shooter and has many fewer RPG elements in it than ME1 does. It might be the gameplay that most people are looking for, but I would have rather had the game expand on what ME1 did right and in some aspects it didn't.Take a good look at the ME2 reviews BEFORE buying it if you truly enjoyed ME1 for its gameplay.

Watched gameplay vids of Fable 3, and it definitely looks like it is what fable 2 should have been. Its a highlight reel for sure, but looks better than it's predecessor. My wife will make me buy this for sure.

hahaha, i know. However, there are games that I want more than fable 3, but something tells me fable 3 will be bought as soon as it comes out, and really, anything that keeps my wife enjoying video games, Magic the gathering, and table top games is fine by me. If you took one look at her, you'd think she spends her time shopping, going to the gym, and ... shopping (which isn't entirely untrue), but she also indulges in hobbies that i love too.

-Lol is nice because you can reconnect after a disconnect. -In LOL every hero is different from Dota, as HoN I heard that basically every hero was a duplicate from Dota. -Lol is completely free and is about a 1 GB download with all the updates and the client. -Every hero has four abilities and they are mapped to QWER. -When you select abilities it shows range and aoe in green circles which is really nice. -Of course nerd rage is all over the place

It's made by some of the same people who did Chrono Trigger and focuses on storyline and gameplay rather than graphics. Unlike FF13 which I personally didn't like. I also really enjoyed this obscure turn based RPG called Operation Darkness. It has Nazis, Werewolfs, Vampires, and Demons...what's not to like?
i bought and said zomg nazis and undead creatures then i played the tutorial part and promptly sold the game
it was WAY WAY TOO CLUNKY

There is so much **** to do, so much stuff to find. You actually have to balance out like what you carry, and I have found it quite hard to keep ammo for all my guns - I seem to run out pretty easily. It's been a challenge, especially considering I am playing on the very hard difficulty. Just curious if there are others out there that enjoyed it as much as I do - I've logged 15 hours into it and *SPOILER KINDA* haven't even talked to Three Dog yet. Been doing all the side challenges. *END SPOILER*
I enjoyed playing Fallout 3, but as a huge fan of the first two PC games I'm a bit jaded. Bethesda did a nice job creating a huge, detailed wasteland to explore, but it's severely lacking the personality and humor that made me fall in love with the original games. I also didn't like the lack of role-playing elements--it's really a shooter at heart veiled by a thin layer of RPG. Nothing wrong with that, I just expected more than "kill, kill, kill" to solve nearly every situation in the game. If you're more of a pure shooter person, though, great game indeed. If you like turn-based RPGs, I highly recommend Fallout and Fallout 2. I think you can get them for about $5 each at GOG.

I just found out about the Dingoo Digital A320 and my jaw dropped. For all you old school gamers out there, it's your dream come true. This is a handheld device that plays NES, SNES, GBA, Sega Genesis ROMs and more, with emulators already pre-installed. It also can play music and video, has output for TV, a 4 GB flash drive (with mini SD slot for extra memory), and 6-8 hour battery life. I mean, it can do anything and you can find them on most websites for 80-100 bucks. I hope it's not too good to be true - I should be getting mine in about a week, so I'll let you know how it works.__________________ Stages of Death: Anger, Denial, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance, Burial, Decay, Haunting, Revenge, Evil LaughOriginally posted by pyr0ma5ta: When in doubt, always go with the mom joke. damn... halo reach... not a fan. I was hoping they would give you limited customizable loadouts for online games. Depends entirely on the game type i guess. Feels waaaaay too much like every other halo. Customization would be cool if it was functional.

Just as a PSA to anyone who thinks they are interested in this, you can do all this and more with a first-gen hacked PSP. Even has PSX emulation that works PERFECTLY, and decent N64.

Is this online or campaign? I had that issue in MW2, where the RS click would be too sensitive. Go to your settings - there's a way to modify it so you have less misclicks with buttons for melee, etc.
