I use FMJ all the time now because I'm trying to unlock Extended Mags.
I haven't ever had anyone talk **** about that.

My favorite maps are Invasion, Terminal, Favela, Sub Base, and Highrise.

Scavenger Pro with Claymores is sick.

My current Killstreaks: Harrier, AC130, Nuke

My Custom Classes (Weapons change, and equipment changes, but the type of weapon does not, since I am trying to get all the unlocks/challenges for everything):
1. LMG(Grip+HoloSight) + Launcher(Stinger) -> C4, 2 Stun Grenades -> Bling Pro, Cold Blooded Pro, Sitrep Pro

2. Assault Rifle(FMJ) + Shotgun(Grip) -> Claymore, 2 Flash Grenade -> Scavenger Pro, Hardline Pro, Sitrep Pro

3. Assault Rifle(Silencer+FMJ) + Launcher(RPG) -> C4, 2 Flash Grenade -> Bling Pro, Cold-Blooded Pro, Sitrep Pro

4. Sniper(Thermal+FMJ) + Shotgun(FMJ+Akimbo) -> Tac Insertion, Smoke Grenade -> Bling Pro, Stopping Power Pro, Steady Aim Pro

5. Sub Machine Gun(FMJ) + Handgun(Tac Knife) -> Frag, 2 Stun Grenade -> Marathon Pro, Cold Blooded Pro, Commando Pro

6. Sub Machine Gun(FMJ) + Machine Pistols(Various) -> Frag, 2 Stun Grenade -> Marathon Pro, Hardline Pro, Ninja Pro

I choose what class I use usually based on the map, or what other people are doing (If a lot of opponents are using HB Sensor, I use ninja, etc.)

Strategy per map:
Afghan - Sniper Class with Tac Insertion, usually move to various spots I have through the map, AKA sniper hill and poppy fields
Derail - Try and make my way into the main building, using Rifle/Shotty class, but if need be, bust out RPG
Estate - Sniper Class with Tac Insertion, usually trying to get into the house and placing my Tac Insertion in upstairs bathroom
Favela - Rifle/Shotty class have a few rooms where I set up and use claymores
Highrise - Either SMG class, I pretty much just run in the downstairs area in the tunnels between the bases, and kill people. Works really well.
Invasion - Usually move around with either Assault Rifle class, and just do work. Sometimes use SMG classes. Depends on my mood.
Karachi - Easily one of my worst maps. Use a variety of methods because I haven't found a good one yet.
Quarry - Either Sniper class or SMG classes, run among the warehouses and do work.
Rundown - LMG class, usually camp pretty hardcore back by the embassy/mansion building.
Rust - Hate rust, just use whatever I am in the mood for.
Scrapyard - Either SMG class, run around and kill.
Skidrow - LMG class, usually camp pretty hardcore in building by playground.
Sub Base - Rifle/Shotty and move to building with mainframes with claymore back up. When people figure it out (usually with RPGs or Tubes, I start running around with SMGs) - Usually my best K/D ratio map.
Terminal - Rifle/Shotty and usually make way to the plane.
Underpass - Used to hate this map, but it's ok. Run around with SMGs.
Wasteland - Usually go with SMGs and make way to bunker, but if outside bunker I switch to RPGs to get them out.

Bailout - Usually Rifle/RPG, but have been doing well with claymores on that map. Just sort of roam around.
Crash - Try and make my way to building across the way from the 3 story with Rifle/Shotty class.
Overgrown - SMGs and attack Grandma's house.
Salvage - Depends on the mood. Like this map, try and make my way to building or little flatbed truck island in middle. Usually SMGs, sometimes other.
Storm - Roam amongst the main big building and associated hallways. Usually with SMGs.

As in, when it comes out? From wikipedia:

On May 3rd, 2010, publisher Activision Blizzard announced that Wings of Liberty will be released worldwide (except for China) on July 27, 2010.

Edit: spelling fail.

@ trany: nube tube, noob tube... who cares. If you're letting syntax and such bother you on a forum board, you're destined to be constantly aggrivated. OMA tubing is annoying simply because people can kill you from clear across the map without line of sight. (at least that is why it's annoying to me). If you play hardcore modes, it's even more aggrivating as most spawn spots at the beginning of the game are within toob range... nothing like a game type that has no respawning and 5 of your team mates dying in the first 10 seconds to a tube... that's the definition of competative fun...yay.

Best nuke ever: a guy gets a care package, throws it into the enemy spawn where he can see it... it ends up being a chopper gunner... he gets a nuke sitting on the house roof in salvage lying down... toobing the care package.

Saying PLAY TO WIN encompasses all lame strategies... well... were you playing when they had the javelin glitch... or the care package glitch... the latter wasn't against the rules of the game, and was in it for a good several months. Nothing like someone getting unlimited care packages, or you dying every time you kill someone.

@ Ryan:

I agree with FMJ, it's badass and in no way unbalanced. Getting extended mags with the scar took me an hour at most. Getting it with the famas took WAY longer Same with damn sniper rifles.

Maps I like: same as you except i don't like invasion, and i do like afghan and wasteland (i like sniping)

My Custom Classes (doing the same as you, my weapons constantly switch)

1 - SMG with silencer, pistol with tac knife, Marathon, lightweight, commando, semtex / smoke grenade

2 - SMG with FMJ, shotty with grip - Scavenger, stopping power, steady aim - claymore, stun grenade

3 - Assault Rifle w. tube, RPG - Scavenger, danger close, sit rep - claymore, stun grenade

4 - Assault Rifle w. Silencer, Stinger - scavenger, cold blooded, ninja - claymore, stun grenade

5 - low ammo assault rifle w. heartbeat, low ammo shotty w. grip - scavenger, stopping power, ninja - claymore, stun grenade

6 - high ammo assault rifle w. FMJ and Sight, High ammo shotty w. grip and FMJ

7 - high refire sniper w. silencer, machine pistol w. silencer - sleight of hand, cold blooded, ninja - claymore , stun grenade

8 - High power sniper w fmj and thermal, machine pistols akimbo fmj - bling, stopping power, steady aim - claymore, stun grenades

Strategy per map:
Afghan - I generally snipe, and post up to defend the flag that my team generally leaves unattended. 1 sniper can really slow down the entire opposing team.
Derail - I never play this god forsaken map!
Estate - I go over by the boathouse and snipe down into B with silenced rifle, or into the house.
Favela - smg - knife/shotty. I generally rush their flag first, then run around their spawn trying to distract them.
Highrise - Rifle - usually post up near their spawn where i can cover B as well.
Invasion - try and keep the *******s from camping the buildings by B
Karachi - pray i don't die too much.
Quarry - runner / shotty, push B, protect B, camp the building right beside their spawn to **** them off.
Rundown - i pretty much rush, and sniper hunt the entire game.
Rust - don't talk to me about this stupid map.
Skidrow - tube / rpg - try and take, and keep B, while urging my team to take C, and leave A the hell alone.
Sub Base - rifle hb sensor - i usually camp pretty hard in a tunnel or darker room by the enemy spawn.
Terminal - If the enemy team isn't all tubing, i usually assault rifle, and do the same as afghan, protect a flag i know they are coming for.
Underpass - definitely rush this map, usually get a great KD.
Wasteland - this is my camp map, thermal snipe, and cover B, and corners of C and A.

Bailout - try and stop oma tubers from camping the house in the middle.
Crash - try and clear out common camp spots with sniper / dualy g18's.
Overgrown - i am bad at this map, still trying to come up with a good strat that doesn't involve camping a lot.
Salvage - rifle w heartbeat, easily my best KD map, I generally claymore / move to good crossroads and pick off runners, lots of stick and move.
Storm - usually post up with m16 near C

Most of my strats are for domination.

Have you ever talked to me? Read any of my posts? If you had, you would know i AM constantly aggravated.

CP glitching wouldn't be called a GLITCH if it was legal to do, it would be called "CP calling" or just "Infinite CP". Same with the jav glitch.

Also, don't use sexuality in derogatory ways- it's frowned upon both by me and the rest of the board.

Gamefly said they shipped NHL10 and Skate 3. I got just skate 3 today. I hate this scheme for doing tricks. The same stick that controls when/how i jump also controls what tricks I do? No thanks. Returning immediately, hopefully RDR will come in next.

So you are constantly aggrivated... ok.... but that's not going to make me change saying 'nube tube', or waste time spell checking etc etc.

Regardless of whether its called a glitch, they were not banning people for doing it (they were for the javelin one), so if its not against the rules, it's allowed.

Fixed.

Here is my CODMW2 classes, and map strategy.

Favortie maps: Terminal, Bailout, Invasion.

Least favorite: Sub Base, Storm, Afghan

Killstreaks - 5(predator)-7(harrier)-8(emergency airdrop) but I switch it up between that and 9(pavelow)

Deathstreak - Painkiller

class 1 - famas, bling pro(FMJ,Red Dot), stopping power pro, steady aim pro.

secondary - pp2000
equipment - frag grenade

2xstun

class 2 - tar-21, bling pro(silencer, heartbeat sensor), cold-blooded pro, ninja pro

secondary - stinger
equipment - semtex

2xstun

class 3 - barret .50cal(thermal sight), slight of hand pro, stopping power pro, steady aim pro

secondary - pp2000
equipment - claymore

1xsmoke

class 4 - ump .45(silenced), marathon pro, lightweight pro, commando pro

secondary - usp .45(tac knife)
equipment - semtex

2xstun

class 5 - aug h-bar(grip), slight of hand pro, stopping power pro, steady aim pro

secondary - pp2000
equipment - frag grenade

2xstun

class 6 - scar-h(tube), slight of hand pro, danger close pro, commando pro

secondary - thumper
equipment - claymore

2xstun

Maps - I generally only play Domination

Afghan - class 6, make it a point to take C and hold it. From there rotate back and forth from C and either A/B and try to hold one of those as well. Just like in real life an elevated stronghold is to your advantage....so use it. If things get a little bit out of hand I switch to class 2 to start blowing things out of the air.

Derail - class 3, hold the big bunker in the middle above B or move along the rooftops of A and down by the train cars picking off stragglers.

Estate - class 3, get B, go up the stairs and set a claymore pointing at the house. From there you can almost dictate the entire map if you are a good shot with your sniper rifle. Forget A, just keep B and C and you can't lose. If you get forced into the house plant claymore by the openings and snipe from the big windows in the front of house.

Favela - class 6, control the rooftops. from there I can shoot down to almost any base and take out anyone trying to capture with danger close pro.

Highrise - class 4, run around the bottom of the map inbetween A/C killing at will.

Invasion - class 1, make my way around and around the perimeter of the map picking off people at will. most focus their effort of the center of the map because B is so vital, so you generally get to free roam and flank your opponents if you use the outside areas.

Karachi - class 6, I hate this map and the strategy is pretty lame to me...but it works. Capture A. place a claymore near the steps and the outer entrace from B into the apartment. then roam around toobing down on A and B holding them both.

Quarry - class 1/2, again use the outside to your advantage since the main focus is the middle bc of B.

Rundown - class 6, get B. Hold the bridges from people crossing, or funnel them to one bridge where your team and you can mow them down.

Rust - refuse to play.

Scrapyard - class 1 - move down either side and look for cross fire opperetunities from idiots who want to insist running down or using the middle.

Skid Row - class 4, run around at will capturing points, killing, knifing.

Sub Base - class 4, run around the outside and try to get behind enemy.

Terminal - class 1, capture and hold C. Look down hall @ A picking people off, over escalators picking people off, and ocasionally peek around corner towards A.

or Hold A and C and float back and forth between the two points

Underpass - class 4, run around the outsides kinfing or using the sub-machine gun.

Wasteland - class 3/or 2, usually start off with the barret but if things get out of hand switch it up to the cold blooded class and start blowing stuff from the sky. If I switch to class 3 work the outsides of the map and try to flank the other team.

Bailout - class 6, either place a claymore in the bottom of the gym and watch A/B, place a claymore at the steps coming up to B from C, watching parking lot from A and also B steps, or go into house and place claymore covering both stairs(it works well if you have danger close pro) and watch A and take shots at the open spot of B.

Crash - class 6, hold the blue building overlooking B. Not the 3 story, but the one opposite of the store market building. place a claymore at the bottom covering 2/3 entrances in the direction of the other team spawning.

Overgrown - class 3, hold A/C and use long lines of sight along with the barret to keep people far away and off the flags.

Salvage - class 6, take C. Place a claymore at the entrance to C from the A side. Lock off one side of the map and take shots with the toobs. I've had some pretty far kills on this map.

Storm - class 2, slowly move around and pick people off one at a time while trying to use stealth to your advantage. There are too many places to watch if you are running around so stay low, stay slow but keep rotating. Usually people run right past me or they cant cover all the entrances so it opens up some easy and close kills.

notice I don't have the AUG Hbar class on here a lot...I use it sometimes as a change of pace, but very seldom.

Daner, alot of similar strats I just with I am considering making my tac knife class anti tube by giving it blast shield permanently.

My younger brother and I tried out the mini uzi in a private match. Have any of you noticed how bloody accurate that gun is?! Makes the Mp5k look retarded in comparison. I've completed the UMP, and almost the Mp5k for SMG's, so next is definitely mini uzi.

My problem is that I can't handle mindlessly-repetitive games. I quit playing a lot of games after only an hour or two because I feel like I'm doing the same old...

My verdict on NHL10: It's a competent hockey game. It's no NHL93 by a longshot, though. It has excessively complex controls but they fix that by having an NHL94 setting. Come on, who really needs buttons besides shoot/check, pass/change player, and move anyway? I'm going to be joining an online casual league with iTiPS, who broadcasts at www.justin.tv/tips_ so it should be a blast.

Returned Skate 3, Red Dead Redemption is next on my list.

What is your definition of repetitive? If you are referring to the RPG/MMO grind, Diablo 2 did not seem that bad. If you mean having to perform the same tasks over and over again (i.e. killing monsters and picking up items) then it would be repetitive, as would be most games. Perhaps you could try PvP games?

Bought myself a used psp 1000 with custom firmware preinstalled, so I don't even have to mess around with downgrading, yay! It'll be nice to have for the plane ride to china. My old PSP mysteriously died one day, it just refused to show it was charging or even turn on the "power" LED one day.

I don't like to pvp. Yes, the level grind of most games irks me. I like games like Runescape, WoW and Morrowind where you can do other things while you level, such as (in WoW/Runescape) level non-combat skills to earn money, or (a la Morrowind) go do other things like stealing from people, Alchemy and Enchanting to make your character or their abilities better.

I would like WoW a lot better if they made an effort to make the leveling grind more interesting, because "work forever to get max level then do nothing but these two raids once a week until you're tired of the game" doesn't feel good. Just more repetition :\

Edit: I don't really see how you fail to see "I need to do Countess/Baal 1000 times to get the items i need to upgrade my character" is repetitive...

Maybe there is more to a game than loot?

Except in the specific case of Diablo 2, there's not. Once you hit max level, the only concern is putting better gear on your character. There's no other considerations to make in a game in which the only thing you can do is fight things.

Again, compare that to Morrowind. "Oh, I'm tired of fighting things, I'm going to go level enchanting. I was finally able to do that uber-enchant I was working on, now I'm going to try sneaking into the Hlaau treasury and stealing all the money. Oops, did that, time to go finish the quests to complete my Telvanni house. All out of things to do......time to go download some user-created content to add more quests." And the list goes on.

The Morrowind model is the one I prefer. It takes repetition out of a game by giving you a broad spectrum of things to do and options regarding how you want to complete the game. In Diablo 2.....you fight. And when you're done fighting, you fight some more. You fight bosses for loot, non-bosses for quests, and players for fun. But you're always fighting...

Maybe I do not find Diablo 2 repetitive because I do not spend so much time on computer games nowadays like I used to a decade ago. I am just appreciating it for its gameplay and storyline, something which I did not when I was busy getting my characters awesome gear back then. Hopefully I will not be eating my words and killing Baal over and over again when I get to him.

Trand, did you like Fable II?

I know the actual storyline was relatively short, but there were some many other things to do I found it very satisfactory.

I thought it was fun but much too short- it felt shorter than Fable 1 and it fell short of my expectations. I expected a nice expansion of the good vs evil dynamic, but instead i got basically the same thing. Fable 2 also has the single worst ending of any video game I've ever played. I was not amused.

A new copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 for $40 with a $20 GameStop coupon when a used Super Mario Galaxy is still about $25.

Strange. I wonder who else will match this.

I did for awhile, but after my second playthrough it just got far too old. I don't think it's worth the $60 new price, but maybe as a $30 platinum seller game I would consider it worth the price.

I really want Red Dead Redemption.
