I would bet that half of them are for stupid things like 'cards arrived late' 'there was a scratch he said it was NM'. The CBT has just over 1k topics, and the first page has stuff from 2009 on it still. That's doing pretty well imo, when the only recourse for ripping is a forum ban :P __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? Yes I suppose so. Still though, that would be 150 schmucks here. Compare that to the overall number of trades, that's not much, but it still means that there are +/- 150 people who should know better. __________________ /Thunder in the wind/No rain/Peace mourns its passing/"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss

This migth be it's own topic, but I put it here to start.Just got back from the post office and it's now even harder to ship out of the US. The USPS cashiers are noe required to type in EVERYTHING on the cutsoms form. This includes not just the value, weight, and what it is in the package, but your address and the address of the receipt. The cashier didn't even know the new policy, which went into place in the last day or two. So now, each package I send to Canada will involve standing their for almost five minutes while they type all the infomation in. I have some great customers in Canada, but I might really have to rethink shipping there if it is going to take this long for every package. __________________ MOTL's Most Likely to Play in the Pro Tour - 2007, 2008, and 2009 (My 2008 Nationals) The Official Tower Magic Facebook Page

I was *JUST* about to post this exact same thing. I feel really sorry for the clerk. I came in with 8 bubble mailers going overseas. Fortunately, there were two other lines, because I was at the counter for half an hour.

Man they should really put a console computer up so you can just type it all in yourself like they do at UPS. Then you can type it, and it doesn't take the clerk forever. Seems kind of an annoying change, but I'm sure there's some reason for it...

I'm a MUCH faster typist than the clerk and I'm far more familiar with the foreign phrases used in addresses than she was. It would have taken less than half the time if I were allowed to type it in. At one point, she paused and did a double take at this: N˚39 "Is that NUMBER 39?" "Yes, that stands for NUMERO" I think there was also a "straße" in an address to Germany that may have been entered as "strabe" or "strasse". Like MAB, I may have to reconsider my international shipping if this is the new policy.

Why does getting married have to be so hard!! Maybe it's just the fact that I live in Rhode Island or something, but I can't seem to find many places to get married (that don't cost an arm and a leg) or hold a reception. Also, anyone know anything about field hockey and where to get cheap gear? Amala has now decided that, in addition to doing track at school, she wants to do field hockey as well, but the stuff is pretty expensive. I mean, I'm gonna hate having to tell her she can't, but if I can't find the stuff cheap enough, I'm gonna have to. I mean, we already have to spend $70 a year on new track shoes (she said it's supposed to be each SEASON!?! Indoor/Outdoor but there's just no way we're doing THAT!) plus she wants all those track shirts and stuff. But compared to the other sports, track is cheap!!! At least one of her friends said they'll give her their old stick and shin guards, but she still needs googles (??), a mouthguard and cleats. Freaking kids Thanks, Jazaray __________________ A Plastered Dragon Original Limerick: There was a nice lassie named Jaz Many wished to have what she has, A delicate face, A soft warm embrace, And a whole lot of bedroom pizzazz.WeedIan: Jazaray is like MOTL's Mom. Hey, I anybody good at lying in interviews? Basically, the real answer to the standard job interview question is unacceptable and won't get me hired, so I need to learn how to lie convincingly and need to have a strong, interesting lie by August. Not just stuff like fake weaknesses. I need things like why do you want to work here and whatever. If somebody is good at coming up with bovine excrements I can pay too. [And before some idiot says "think for yourself!" or something, did that, didn't work, trying something new.]

Starcity article by Jeremy Dombek is funny...now he is in the spotlight. I'm hoping if people post about his theft on MOTL scg does something to him...considering it's mail fraud and impersonation...edit: Seems people are posting about it. I'm just hoping SCG does something since the magic community is so anti-theft.

Wonder if I should go and post on it as well.. He did message me on twitch:So a) what happened with magic traders was 4-5 years ago when I first started playing and trading and didn't do **** and b) i never intentionally ripped anybody off. I had two trades that went awkward and that was it .. but mods and everyone else is gunna freak out. At 16 i couldnt just get to the post office to ship cards but I did every single time but once and the one time I wasn't able to it got blown up hard. Regardless, the past is the past and I've done nothing but try and clear my rep so it'd be cool if at least in the chat rooms you didnt call me out. Just trying to be mature, you can have your reasons to dislike me. This, was my reply:
Really? It sure as heck wasn't just "once", nor did it get "blown up hard" Or does coming back and ripping off more people as other accounts, just not count? And the impersonations? They don't count either? You've had 3 cases where you ripped people off, as well as four other cases where you impersonated another MOTL member, some of them where you managed to rip even more people off. You wanna clear your rep? Give those people back their cards. Thanks, Jazaray Perhaps I should post that conversation on there..?
Thanks, Jazaray Edit: He sent me that, after he popped into one of the streams I frequent and I said "Oh look, it's the famous MOTL ripper, Jeremy Dombeck". __________________ A Plastered Dragon Original Limerick: There was a nice lassie named Jaz Many wished to have what she has, A delicate face, A soft warm embrace, And a whole lot of bedroom pizzazz.WeedIan: Jazaray is like MOTL's Mom. Spread awareness...all I can say. I don't care if you are 16...what you did is still a crime. Would he appreciate it if I stole his winning SCG deck? I don't think so.

quote: Originally posted by Jazaray: So, ranting Jaz time again!! I know you just LOVE these posts. I took my van in to get an oil change today, the guy comes out and tells me this: The person who put the back brakes on, didn't put them on correctly so they're not catching, just spinning around, so all my braking power is in the front of the car. The person who put the front rotors on, put on very very bad ones that are going to go any day now. (This part I didn't understand, and still don't) He said that they put some metallic patch (or something, I forget exactly what he called it) on instead of a ceramic one (which is apparently the type the car needs). These rotors are apparently so bad that they are ... I don't know what to call it.. rubbing off onto my hubcaps and turning them all nice and black. Those repairs would be $330, which I think is absurd for just changing a couple of rotors and putting the back brakes on correctly. I mean, do they like charge $250 for labor?? I know that rotors aren't that expensive, and the brakes themselves would probably be about $30. Then he tells me that two of my brake lights are out, and that they want $25 to change them! Geez louise, I'll just go ahead and do that myself.. And, the finale, they couldn't give me my free tire rotation, because two of the lug nuts are like, fused on and they wouldn't be able to put the tire back. Why do I always, always, always get screwed on cars? Even when it's a reputable (or so I thought) dealer? Why are there so many dishonest people out there? I guess that may sound funny coming from a BTA mod, I mean, if anyone knows that there are some pretty awful people out there, I do. But I've always tried to see the good in people. :-\ Now I'm scared to ever go get another oil change again!! Thanks, Jazaray
Sounds like a ton of bull****. - Can't address the first point. Best thing, I think, would be to check the pads on the back for uneven wear. - Ceramic brakes? lol. Those are good on high performance cars. My dad has them on his car, and while they do offer a bit more grip after they are warmed up, I wouldn't spend more money on them. I have regular brakes on mine, and I brake just fine. - $300ish for brakes on a domestic car is expensive. I got quoted $500 on mine. Ended up doing it myself. - $25 to change brake lights, lol, pathetic. - Can't comment on this. Would have to check the lugnuts. - Car repair shops, in general, are scumbags. -*-*-*-* In other news, BestBuy laid me off a couple of days ago. Not good for them. A bunch of really experience people got canned.

A more appropriate name for Dombek's article is Bad Guys finish first. @Jaz I think I'm going to pop the question somewhat soon, I just need to figure out how long to wait and all that to make ends meet in the end.

Woke up this morning and found the following in my email inbox:"Congratulations! You have won a pair of tickets to see NeilYoung at the John Labatt Centre on October 6! Your tickets have not arrived into our station yet, so wewill be contacting you when they arrive. For now, mark your calendar because you’re going tosee Neil Young! Have a great weekend" Needless to say I am more than a little ecstatic about this. Another really cool thing is I can take public transportation, right outside my front door almost, to the venue and back. So no worrying about finding or paying for a parking spot. Note: I have left out the headers to this email on purpose, but the radio station invovled is 102.3 BOB FM in London Ontario.

I just played my arcum dagsson deck in an EDH multiplayer tournament and it was insane tonight. I had a blast. 18 people competed. For round 1 I killed everyone at my table. Round 2 it was the winners table and I killed them all. Round 3 I didn't care about winning and I was just screwing around - Arcum went crazy, I had some blightsteel colossus's in play, all my stuff was indestructible, infinite combos of various types, half my deck was in play, tons of cards and counterspells in hand. I toyed with my food for a while, killed a couple people, leaving only a woman who spent the entire game discarding cards because of a manascrew - I conceded to her so she could win some packs, then I handed out some of the packs I won to everyone who didn't win any. you might try using the USPS postal program (click-n-ship) to print the label. I just tape them to the bubble mailer but still have to go in and pay for postage, but maybe they can just scan it in if its all typed up? quote: Originally posted by djcards: In other news: "+" might change everything...
