They make earplugs which cancel up to like 35 decibels that are cheap and don't diminish the sound quality. At least they did years ago. __________________ *My LJ*Letter Bombs!*Facebook*Logout- I had it second!*CKGB

I'm surprised I can hear that, I get my hearing tested every year at work and over the past 7 years and comparing the graphs I'm losing the ability the hear frequencies all over the charts, though randomly some spots get better. It's so hard to discern if you're hearing something or if your brain just thinks you are based on the time intervals of the test =p

I use machinery almost every day at work and use earplugs. They are very affordable because they are disposable. 3M Teks from Lowes/Home Depot. Just make sure you take the time to put them in properly. Youtube it, if you're not sure.

We get to: -Swing the ban hammer. -Read the mod forum. -Lock threads. -Look at/adjust people's karma. -Post images. -Edit thread titles. -Look up people's IP addresses. -Get a magictraders.com email address. -And, the occasional keg party.* Other than that, it's pretty boring. We're supposed to get a MOTL t-shirt, but I had to buy mine. Things people think we can do, but can't: -Unban people.** -Get paid. -Make bold topic titles. -View our own Karma. -Edit static site pages (like the FAQ, etc.) -Ban other mods -Open the Articles forum *(Not really) **(Only 2 people here can do that and one of them is Leshrac) EDITS: I think that's about it. __________________ Everyone you meet is going through something * BoltBait is the official holder of the MOTL Logout Button [Trades] [Rules] [FAQ] [Prices] [Card Searches] [Tools] [WotC] [Dominoes] [Art] [#MOTL Chat] [Logout]

It's not thankless if you thank them...but they might just think you're sucking up.

OK, you know all those fancy buttons that let you do stuff like bold and add foil tags, what would cause those to not work on a browser? Can't figure it out for the life of me.Info: Using Chrome. __________________ I shall have the souls of all who defy me. "Lord Crovax"

wayne, i personally think ur a mod without the title~ just look @ the report rules violations thread. and u find the bad no no's motlers r doing~ and see u post way more often than some actual mods here. if i was a current mod i would have had u in triple digit postive karma by now. __________________ Motl member since November 1, 2000Your 2008 and 2010 Motl Siskel & Ebert award winner! 34th in refs on Motl! Alice Cooper was awesome, Maiden was better. And I can still hear that frequency. Unfortunately, I've been sick with a flu for the past couple days. I slept about three hours tonight, and had some insane fever-wracked dreams. The fever broke, but now I can't sleep. __________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. More than likely because the browser sniffing was written before Chrome existed. code:
if (d.selection || (ua.indexOf('Gecko') >= 0 && ua.indexOf('Safari') < 0)) { edit = true; }
so add in a little sniff for Chrome and it seems to work: code:
if (d.selection || (ua.indexOf('Gecko') >= 0 && ua.indexOf('Safari') < 0) || ua.toLowerCase().indexOf('chrome') > -1) { edit = true; }

Ugh. Thought I was at my sickest yesterday night, but I'm much worse today. Got a (pretty debilitating) fever of 38.9 (102). __________________ "I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. My mouth totally betrayed me yesterday. I was buying these nifty water shoes from a sporty store that has everything for camping, mountain climbing, kayaking, etc. A beautiful girl was ringing in my purchase and in my mind I was totally charming - mentioning that I was thinking of taking up kayaking and would love to have someone to do it with - but my mouth, my cursed idiotic mouth, said this instead "so do your kayaks ever go on sale?" her: "Umm...actually they're ALL on sale right now." me: "Oh." (mentally digs a hole and sticks my head in it) her: "You see that big yellow sign on the kayak beside you?" me: I look over 5ft away at this big 'SALE' sign on a kayak beside me. "Yeah." her: "that means its on sale." That conversation was about as fun as the holocaust. __________________ |My Angels~My P9 l""|"\__, |~~My #1 Angel~~l'_|'_|_|) |(@)(@)""***|(@)(@)**|(@)

That last one is a question of perspective.I should probably clear that up - I'm sure one of you MIGHT have thought the conversation was fun. Maybe.
