all righty.. I'll pick up where I've left off.. due to car problems and other stuff as well I havent been able to keep up with the demand of this post.. sorry.. things will turn around soon I hope.. or I'm gonna go out of my mind

Selvaxri: cards return to their owner's respecful pile.. removed, graveyard.. whatever.. since you dont own it.. the ability triggers however you wont get any use of it since you dont own the card.

each parallax nexus keeps track of the cards it removed.. and they only bring back those they removed when it leaves play.

yes you can depends how you stack the upkeep effects.

lic0rice: doppleganger specifically says it obtains all characteristics except color.. and retains the ability to shift as well.. legendary status is a characteristic gained by doppleganger

DarkDamion: have to wait for the casting cost.

King Masticore: holy strength falls off.. the protection rules says that a creature with protection: <quality> cannot be enchanted by enchantments with <quality>
this of course doesnt include cards such as cho-manno's blessing which specifically states the protection it grants doesnt remove itself.

da-odd-templar: based on how its worded.. I'd have to say its destroyed... the reasoning behind it is rather confusing.. I'm actually not real sure of the answer I'm giving..
my reasoning: based on the wording of parallax dementia:
Text(NE): Fading 1. ; Enchanted creature gets +3/+2. ; When ~this~ leaves play, destroy enchanted creature. That
creature can't be regenerated.

same idea behind the sneak creature then I soul sculpture it into an enchantment.. it still dies even if it changed perm types.. so this is the reasoning behind my opinion.. as I said.. I'm not really sure. its the last know characteristic rule that explains it.. as it was a creature before it fell off..

lucutus: well sacrifice to pay the cost of an effect doesnt go on the stack.. the counter ability goes on the stack.. however sacrificing the spiketail drake/hatchling doesnt. thus by the time he has time to respond the spiketail isnt in play anymore.

underworld dreams: the stack is viewed as a wonderfully abusive tool.. yes you can counter it as you can add anything to the stack in between resolution of spells/effects.

Real Prophet: good go.. =)

Imagenyuss: green.. you are redirecting the damage.. source's color doesnt change

squee44: no.. that effect only happens if its still in play at the end of turn to trigger its ability.

imagenyuss: in response.. yes.. but sacrifice for color is an ability of the kaleidoscope

fyrecrow: mishra's workshop says specifically that mana can only be used for casting artifacts.

flacosombroso: yes its cumulative.. they both will trigger

da-odd-templar: I appreciate the help.. thanks

reinhart: yes as searching was on top of the stack and will resolve before the wrath of god.
2. no.. until end of turn and at end of turn are different things.. at end of turn is a triggered ability when you get to end of turn step.. however.. until end of turn lasts until cleanup (the very end of a turn before the next person's turn's untap)
3. no they cant assign damage again.. damage onto the stack during combat only happens once.
4. no you cant use targetted abilities without legal targets.

aya brea: If there are no creatures in the player's library, then the target creature is still destroyed, you see all the cards in that
player's library, and then they shuffle and continue play. [Duelist Magazine #16, Page 30]
that should answer your question.

Ragemonkey: yes they'd hold until end of turn.
2. misdirection is in resolution.. its not off the stack until its placed into the graveyard as the final part of its resolution.

gzeiger: foreign cards are legal.. tho you should be able to produce an english one.. or the current oracle wording when required to... else you shouldnt be playing with foreign cards.
2. Text(TE+errata): Draw four cards. You skip your next turn. [Oracle 99/05/01]
that's the current wording of meditate as per the oracle...
the card has two effects.. draw 4.. and skip a turn.

ragemonkey: well this is what happens.. the hermit will die as its only a 1/1.. the squirrels are 2/2 due to hermit's ability.. the squirrels will be 2/2's with 1 damage.. but when the hermit leaves play.. they will be 1/1's again and with 1 damage.. so they die as well.

orinn: true.. those spells cause headaches.. but do be reminded.. its how the judge's opinion of the rules/card wording that matters when you require a ruling..
what you say is true.. yes.. but keep in mind not a lot of other judges are as open minded as I am about being wrong..

Goblin_Snowman: ankh triggers when lands return to play.. so when tide leaves.. and brings the lands back.. they trigger.. and the lands' controller(s) takes some tasty damage.

alkiser: no..cant play the rituals discarding your hand is a cost of using lion's eye diamond.
you'll have 3 black floating..

joecopenhaver: that's perfectly legal.. man-o-war can target itself.

purplepat: you can only sacrifice one perm for one effect.. and get only 1 benefit/(disadvantage) from it.. cant get both from one sacrifice

da-odd-templar: again.. thanks for helping.

banzi: yes you can stack it that way and gain 8 life.. most ppl believe you can only gain 6.. there was a discussion about it a while ago in this forum on it.. many many ppl thought you can only gain 6.. and that there was no possible way to get 8.. but the correct answer is 8.. and you explained it yourself on how to gain the 2 life a fourth time.

harbinger_913: you can only do it once

phyrexian negator: The creature is sacrificed at the end of every turn in which it is in play. There is no choice about what turn to sacrifice it.
[D'Angelo 98/06/05]
there's yer answer...

flacosombroso: everything has summoning sickness.. just it only affects creatures... or things turned into creatures

imagenyuss: yes you can.. yes.. you can sac any token that's a prism token to the kaleidoscope

datfat_1: I do believe I answered this on the other post.. pls look for the answer there.

imagenyuss: if the creature doesnt leave play.. then the enchantments stay on...

excalaber2: essentially yeah.. they are free casting cost cards..

that's all from me for now..

You win the game if you control a land of each basic land type and a creature of each color.

If I control a Bayou, Plateau, Tropical Island and a Sliver Queen do I win casting this?

ya know wut richie.. I'm not sure.. I'll wait till I get my hands on the FAQ for invasion to answer that..
but for my belief.. you have to control a creature of each color meaning a creature only counts once..

ok, maybe i should rephrase the question... Lets say i have a spore frog out and I play an enchantment on it. (jolreals favor... i think 1g reg.) Well Someone attacks me and I sacrifice my spore frog and i use jolreals favor to regenerate it, when it regenerated then would the enchant creature still be on spore frog???

hey, iamagenuis your not when you sac a creature you cant regerat it. but if you block it died and you regenrated it the enc. would stay on

to riche you would win it works. cause you got 1 of each basic land, and 1 of each creature color. you dont need them to be seprate expect to see a eratra on the card.

lots of spelling errors

Thanks for not being upset with me. I almost keep expecting to get email from you telling me to stay away from your posts I know a head judge wouldn't like being told they're wrong. I would probably tell them anyway, and then accept the ruling that was made, no sense getting warned about it.

Here's one I know will come up in my regular games: Can someone use Ertai's Meddling, then counter the spell when it goes back on the stack? It was illegal before the stacking rules, but it looks legal now.
How about using Ertai's Meddling on the new "Cannot be countered" spells (Urza's Rage, Obliterate?)

This is the situation:
I control a creature with Pariah and Treacherous Link on it. What happens?? The damage goes on infinitely. Is it a draw, or what happens??

Simple question, you give a card with fading, phasing, the counters are replenished every time it comes back into play. If not the discriptions on the cards of what fading is, is way off base.. so are the fade counters replenished each time it comes into play?

imagenyuss: cant regenerate when you sac

orinn: I'll get back to you on ertai's meddling in a day or two

the magic dude: do you know what time stamping is?

aya brea: ruling... see above.. I gave u an answer already

fidu: phasing only triggers leave play effects.. no comes into play.. so fading wouldnt work.

i'm playing my elf deck, and they have a bayou in play. on my turn, i slap down an Eladamri (all elves gain forestwalk), will my elves become unblockable? i just want to make sure.

can you explain what would happen if i enchanted my Taunting elf with an Imposing Visage (can only be blocked by one creature).
i looked at this card and wondered. it hurt my head...

Common sense would tell you that if it left play when it phased out, it would have to come back into play when it phased in, Slick.

How does trample work??
Lets say that i have a wild dogs out with rancor and attacks with it and my opponent blocks with a wall of glare with inviobility.
Does all of the damage go to the defending player or not???

Selvaxri: Yes. Bayou counts as a forest and a swamp so your forestwalking creatures will sneak right on through. As to the taunting elf, only one creature can block becuase the imposing visage is more recent than the elf's effect.

Soulreave: Wall of Glare would block 5 damage and reduce it to zero. Wild dogs + rancor only has a power of 4 so it wouldn't go through. If, however, you attacked with a Force of Nature *8/8 trample* then 5 damage would get assigned to wall and 3 would get assigned to the player. The 5 damage assigned to the wall would then be reduced to zero.

anyway, coolio or guenyvarr (sp??), how does it work when i enchant an active chimeric idol with a parallax dementia?

does the idol live when the dementia falls off, or does the idol die because the dementia left?

ooh, hope i can stump coolio

Question- I have an opal Arcangel in play as an enchantment. If I cast Opalescence do, I control a 5/5(might be wrong on casting cost) creature now? And if so, then my opponent casts an elf(lack of a better creature on his turn)do I control another 5/5 creature? got me thinkin'. I don't think I get two 5/5's but, just to make sure. Thanx Sweetiepy

couple of rules questions.
1. If an enchantment has a required cost to pay Xx, discard a card can a player that has no cards to discard can he play the card? (EX. spellshapers and any spells that require a discard)

2. Can an enchanment ability with an all play ability be payed and used in any player's turn? or in other words can you play a creature as an instant using saproling cluster?

3. okay this one is a doozie---say I had out Crumbling sanctuary and my opponent had out Blinding angel or somnophore Does it deal damage to me since I remove cards from my library?? can the abilities on those cards be played as if damage was done directly to me?

Da-odd-templar: I'd say no, but I'm not sure. The chimeric idol would revert to an artifact and the parallax d. would "fall off" at which time it would try to destroy the creature it was enchanting. Since there is no creature for it to affect, the effect "fizzles". I THINK that's right.

Sweetiepy: At first yes you would control a 5/5 enchantment creature. The second you're opponent begins to cast a creature spell the Opal Archangel becomes a creature *5/5 flying* and loses it's enchantment status, therefore not being affected by Opalescence.

Joker2305: No, the 2 life is the set cost of the spell.

datfat_1: 1) Discarding a card is part of the activiation cost. If you can't pay the cost, you can't play the spell/effect. 2) Yes, unless the card specifically says otherwise. 3) Assume the blinding angel example. The angel's 2 damage would undergo a replacement effect by the crumbling sanctuary, converting the 2 points of damage into removing the top 2 cards of your library. The damage was never dealt so the effect can't take effect.

That's all for now.
