The beginner comes back with more questions! Q: If I bring out a creature (Let's say Albino Troll), and I rancor it that turn as well, if he Undermines my Troll, is my Rancor buried as well? Is it redirected? Or Returned to my hand? __________________ HanSolo's Refs Vice Admiral HanSolo6385-Cobalt Team Screen Name: SabretoothDuck E-mail: SabretoothDuck@aol.com

Hey Caquaa! I'm not through with you yet! Round 2!Scenario: My opponent is at 1 life and has a distorting lens and a cop red in play. I sac a land to rath's edge to deal a colorless point of damage to him. can he turn the land red and prevent the damage? If someone animates my zuran orb to make it a 0/0, can I giant growth it in response to save it? Or does the giant growth go through before the animate and "become countered" on a non-creature? I can't remember the ruling on Staang I'm pretty sure he's not a useless creature, I just can't remember why. Can you fork a 10 point fireball? will it do 10 points of damage or 0? If you fork a 6 point fire storm, will it do an additional 6 damage to six adittional targets? DO you have to discard another 6 cards to do so? With a furnace of rath out, would a chai n lightning re-double everytime it bouced again? Are snow-covered lands basic? are dual lands non-basic lands that count as 2 different basic lands?!?!? i think the card is worship... anyways if my opponent has a worship out and I inferno, killing all his creatures and him at the same time, does he die? or is his life total back at one? Is apocalypse the only way for red to get rid of enchantments? Can abeyance be used as a counterspell? is tapping an activation cost? Was my firend joking when he told me frantic search was restricted? It seems pretty balanced to me. Does dueling grounds + Goblin war drums make your creatures unblockable? Am I correct in assuming that when you have no other creatures in play, Devouring Strossus must be sacrificed to himself? Can you animate dead a multani, maro sorcerer? Scenario: If my opponent has 5 lands in play and is at 5 life, and i play overabundance, then mana short or drain power, does my opponent die? And if they didn't someohow, would i have 10 mana in my pool with the drain power? Can you use a royal assassin to assassinate itsself? Maybe you should just be glad that I don't bother with my UNGLUED questions hehe. Thats all i can think of right now, but i'll probably be back for more again soon heheheh, but for what its worth, thanx for your help! One more real stumper for ya! Can i bolt my academy rector to search for a control magic and take control of a multani-maro sorcerer? I think i heard somewhere that this was possible, but i can't understand why.

I have some gold card questions and protection from question. What color are gold cards? Are they gold or are they the colors that were used to cast them? i.e. if you have a charging troll and a voracious cobra in play does perish kill them both or have no effect? The next question is if you play reverent mantra on your white creatures and declare green can the troll and cobra from above block? Thanks in advance

HanSolo6385: You can't play the rancor until the albino troll is in play. If he undermines the troll then it goes to the graveyard, if not you can rancor the troll. If he tries to undermine the troll when you cast the rancor then he is cheating, unless of course you didn't give him a chance to respond to the casting of the troll.Tom: Gold cards are the colors of their casting costs. Charging troll and Voracious cobra will both die because they are green. Also the troll and cobra are white so a reverent mantra called white by your opponent would make them unable to block as well. asphinx: I'll see if I can give Caquaa a break. 1) G.11.5 - If the spell or ability has restrictions on the damage's source, such as only from a creature of a given color, those restrictions are checked when the damage would be prevented (in addition to when choosing the source). This means that if the source changes color (or whatever characteristic is being checked) that the damage might not be prevented. [WotC Rules Team 00/04/04] Since the source is checked at activation as well as resolution, the damage would have come from a red source via the lens, which could then be prevented by the COP: Red 2) If someone animates your zuran orb you cannot giant growth it in response, as zuran orb is not of type creature. Once the zuran orb is activated it becomes a 0/0 and dies instantly. You cannot giant growth it in response. 3) : Info: Color=Multi Type=Creature - Legend Cost=4GR LG(R1)/CH(U1) Text(CH+errata): 3/4. ; When ~this~ comes into play, put a 3/4 red and green Stangg-Twin creature token into play. ; When ~this~ leaves play, remove Stangg-Twin from the game. ; When Stangg-Twin leaves play, sacrifice ~this~. [Oracle 99/09/03] A Clone (or other copy) of Stangg will also get a twin as it comes into play. Both the copy and the twin will then be destroyed because they are duplicates of Legends. The only reason this is mentioned here is that two death events get generated for the likes of the Soul Net. [Aahz 94/08/12] If Stangg or the Stangg-Twin are phased out or put into Tawnos's Coffin or Oubliette (which phase it out), then the other one will be destroyed. The Stangg-Twin will also be removed from the game if phased out. [WotC Rules Team 94/09/15] When Stangg phases in, he will not get a new Stangg-Twin, but he will not be destroyed either. This is because Stangg is only destroyed if the Stangg-Twin leaves play while he is in play. If he phases in without a Stangg-Twin, that is okay. [Aahz 94/10/21] [D'Angelo 96/11/11] Stangg only notices his own Stangg-Twin. If some other effect, such as Volrath's Laboratory is used to create Stangg-Twin tokens, they have no effect on Stangg or his actual Stangg-Twin. [bethmo 98/06/25] There you have it, he's not useless. Stangg and Stangg-Twin have seperate names and therefore do not kill each other under the legend rule. 4) Yes, you can fork a 10 pt. fireball and have it do 10 damage. Fork: Info: Color=Red Type=Instant Cost=RR ABUR(R1) Text(RV+errata): ~this~ resolves as a copy of target sorcery or instant spell except that it doesn't copy that spell's color and you choose the copy's targets as you play ~this~. [Oracle 99/09/03] You need not (and may not) pay any additional mana or other costs (like sacrifices) to use the spell which is Forked. You get control over a complete copy but can change nothing except the targets. [Duelist Magazine #11, Page 57] If mana or other costs need to be spent at resolution of the spell, the caster of Fork would still be responsible for paying that cost. [bethmo 94/07/18] Extra costs which are in the spell text but not in the cost at the top of the card still count as part of the cost and do not need to be paid by the player casting Fork. This includes extra mana in Soul Burn. [Duelist Magazine #11, Page 57] You maintain full control over the copy of the spell regardless of who cast the original. [Snark 94/02/01] For spells like Fireball that allow mana to be used for damage or for additional targets, the controller of the copy must use the same number of targets the original spell did. [Duelist Magazine #3, Page 22] Forking a spell with an X in the cost like Detonate requires you to use the same X value. In the case of Detonate, you must find an artifact with exactly the cost X. [WotC Rules Team 94/09/30] When Fork resolves, it resolves as if it were the copy of the spell. [Duelist Magazine #18, Page 29] If something happens to the spell card being copied, the Fork will act completely as that card. For example, Recall removes itself from the game, so a Fork of Recall will remove the Fork card. [Aahz 95/02/17] Will not copy changes made by modifying effects to the spell prior to the use of Fork, such as Sleight of Mind or Magical Hack. [WotC Rules Team 98/03/31] If you change the color of the Fork from red then the resulting spell will not be red. [Aahz 96/11/07] If you copy a spell for which Buyback has been paid, you get the Fork back in your hand as part of its resolution. [bethmo 97/10/14] + If you copy a spell for which Kicker has been paid, the Kicker has been paid for the copy as well. [DeLaney 00/10/18] Does not copy effects upon the spell, such as Ertai's Meddling. [bethmo 97/11/19] Does not let you make non-targeting choices about the spell. [Aahz 97/11/17] It does copy the mana symbols in the casting cost for the card it is copying, but it uses its own color definition and not the one from those mana symbols. This is so it maintains its color just like the text says. [bethmo 98/07/07] Everything you ever wanted to know about fork.
5) Chain Lightning: Info: Color=Red Type=Sorcery Cost=R LG(C2) Text(LG+errata): Whenever ~this~ deals damage to a creature or player, that player or that creature's controller may pay {R}{R} to have ~this~ deal 3 damage to target creature or player of his or her choice. ; ~this~ deals 3 damage to target creature or player. [Oracle 99/09/03] The damage resets to 3 each time, so chain lightning would do 6, then if redirected it would do another 6, etc. 6) No. 7) Dual lands are non-basic lands that have 2 basic land types associated with them. 8) When inferno resolves everything and everyone would take 6 damage, including yourself and the creature. Worships' effect would trigger and you would go to 1 life, assuming that it would have otherwise killed you. All creatures with lethal damage, including the worship creature, would die and worship would go to the graveyard. The life total reassigning is done before the worship goes to the graveyard. 9) Near as I can figure. Sucks, doesn't it? 10) Abeyance: Info: Color=White Type=Instant Cost=1W WL(R1) Text(WL+errata): Until end of turn, target player cannot play instants, sorceries, or nonmana activated abilities. ; Draw a card. [Oracle 99/07/01] It only affects player's right to announce things. It does not affect anything which was already announced but has not yet resolved. [D'Angelo 97/06/30] In other words, Abeyance cannot be used to counter a spell or ability. [Duelist Magazine #19, Page 34] The player can respond to the casting of this spell by playing instant spells and abilities other than mana abilities. But after this spell resolves, they cannot announce any more this turn. [D'Angelo 99/07/10] 11) Yes. 12) Frantic search is restricted in type one, and therefore banned in 1.5. It's the whole untap 3 lands bit. For a full list of banned/restricted cards see: http://www.wizards.com/DCI/UTR_MTG.asp 13) Indeed it does make your creatures unblockable. 14) Yep, he has to be sacrificed to himself. Alternately, you can choose not to pay the cost and instead bury him. *Not that that helps* 15) G.40.3 - Local enchantments on a permanent target the permanent (as a spell) when cast. They do not target the permanent they enchant while in play. The abilities of enchantments generally do not target the card they are on. For example, Firebreathing's effect does not target the creature to give it +1/+0 and Regeneration does not target the creature when it So the animate dead would only target Multani while in the graveyard, where his "can't be targeted" ability isn't in effect. 16. Overabundance: Info: Color=Multi Type=Enchantment Cost=1RG IN(R1) Text(IN): Whenever a player taps a land for mana, that player adds one additional mana to his or her mana pool of the same type, and ~this~ deals 1 damage to him or her. Mana Short: Info: Color=Blue Type=Instant Cost=2U ABUR46(R1) Text(6th+errata): Tap all lands with mana abilities target player controls and empty his or her mana pool. [Oracle 00/02/01] Drain Power: Info: Color=Blue Type=Sorcery Cost=UU ABUR45(R1) Text(5th+errata): Target player plays a mana ability of each land he or she controls, then empties his or her mana pool. Add mana to your mana pool equal to the type and amount emptied from that player's this way. [Oracle 00/02/01] This means that Mana Short will not trigger the overabundance since it does not tap the lands for mana but that Drain Power will, since it DOES tap the lands for the mana. 17) G.40 - Targeting--Is Something Targeted G.40.1 - A spell or ability is targeted if (and only if) it uses the word "target" in its card text. [D'Angelo 98/02/03] When in doubt, read the card. G.40.2 - There is one exception to Rule G.40.1. Local enchantments target the permanent they are being placed on at the time they are played even though they do not use the word "target". [D'Angelo 98/02/03] G.40.3 - Local enchantments on a permanent target the permanent (as a spell) when cast. They do not target the permanent they enchant while in play. . .
That being said, the Control Magic you searched for via the Rector is placed on Multani, not played, and therefore not targeted. Hope I was of some help.

Don't listen to guenhwyvar j/k. he is good with rules... we all make mistakes(especially me).Assasin question: Cannot target itself because you choose the target at the same time you are tapping him. At that time he is not yet tapped. [D'Angelo 95/07/18] guenhwyvar: You need to read up on snow-covered lands, hehe. They are basic lands. Thank you very much for answering all those questions. I always play Apprentice against this guy, but I don't think he knows the rules very well.. A very simple question:I attack with a Skizzik. He blocks with a Mother of Runes and gives her protection from red after having declared blockers. Does all the damage from the Skizzik go to him (my opinion) or does 1 damage get prevented by the Mother??

would this combo work? I've told a few people how to do it, but I wanted make sure everything worked.Turn 1 I play 4 ornothopters and 2 pherexian walkers for free Then i play a craddle, and tap it for 6 I play a memery jar and tap it to draw 7 more cards I play an exploration (or something like that it costs one green and says i can play another land during my turn) and I play a tolerian acadamy, i tpa it I play a jolt to untap the craddle, and tap it again (i now have 9 foating/ 3 blue 6 green) I play a concordant cross roads i play another memery jar (i have three foating) i play an earth craft i play another exploration I tap the memory jar for another 7 cards I play a forest tap it for mana play crop rotation on the cradle, and tap it (6 foating) play another crop rotation for the acadamy, and tap it (11 foating) play a horseshoe crab (8 foationg) play a fertile ground on the forest (6 foationg) tap the forest (8 floating) tap the horse shoe grab to the eathcraft to untap the forest, then tap the forest again so that it makes 1 green and 1 blue. use the one blue to untap the crab. (9 floating) do this about a million times, and stream of life do this about a half a million times and hurricane. YOU WIN AND EVERYONE ELSE LOSES
now would this work?

Caquaa: Whoops, thanks. That'll teach me to not slow down. I don't even remember answering that question. ;PThe Magic Dude: You would assign one trample damage to the mother per the rules, and the other 4 to the player. Then the one damage to mother would be prevented by the pro: red status she has. Imagenyuss: 1) Earthcraft: Info: Color=Green Type=Enchantment Cost=1G TE(R1) Text(TE): Tap an untapped creature you control: Untap target basic land. Since it taps a creature as a cost, it must be used on an untapped creature. [D'Angelo 97/11/11] Has to be a basic land, so no go. Round 3! I'm beginning to like this odd version of 20 questions so let's keep em rollin! Fortunately I believe I'm running out of steam!Guenywhatever: You said after inferno goes through worship goes to graveyard? It doesn't say that on the card, if this is the same card i'm thinking of... Is this some new errata? (Its not an energy field) Would mana short then remove all counters from an untapped storage counter land from masques or fallen empires? how about drain power? Are portal/starter cards banned from tournaments? How does an attacking green source of trample damage work with a blocking fog bank with pro-green? During the upkeep, with a tagle wire in play, can you first target whats to be tapped, (4 land), then dump the 4 mana into your mana pool, and then not have to tap any additional permanents assuming you have more? Can you stack the entire tangle wire effect and pl all the instants and fast effects you can, tapping everything you have in play even before the stack resolves? On portal cards there are no instants, only sorceries. Even certain instants in other sets are reprinted here as sorceries. Is there a whole other ruling for portal sorceries? If not, are you to treat every sorcery card in portal as a sorcery no matter what card it is? If you put four magistrates scepters out on consecutive turns, putting counters on them all every turn possible, after you put the fourth one out, could you not take infinite turns?(Is my logic messed up? Couldn't you do this with 4 magistrates scepters Period?) Can you prevent every point of damage Mana clash deals to you with a cop-red and 1 mana? The following question is not one of mine, I think its stupid, but I want it answered so everyone else I play against can see it for themselves. Can I stop an attack by untapping the attacking creature? Can I untap an untapped creature? Can I tap a tapped creature Does tapping a dingus egg turn it off? Does tapping a howling mine turn it off? Can I regenerate living lands from armaggedon? Am I an idiot if i steal enchantment an underworld dreams? Can I tap voltaic key to untap it? If not would the untap part of it still go through, just before it taps? Another dumb question: can sleight of mind be used to alter the text of BETA basic lands? Do mono artifacts tap when you activate them? Do they turn off when tapped? Same for continuous and poly. Do musician counters stay on even after musican leaves play? Ok so snow covered lands are basic heh, would they count as different basic land types when factoring in a global ruin or a power armor? Would you get +4/+4 or +0/+0 from a power armor if you have only Volcanic Islands and Scrublands in play? Can you use despotic scepter/rishadan pawnshop to stop your opponents cards if they are using your deck? (You do OWN the cards do you not?) (assumimng you control them with a ray of command or something?) Would Underworld dreams activate from an orcish spy? How about a diabolic vision? Brainstorm? Portent? Has "Draw a card at beginning of next turn's upkeep" been changed on all cards to: daw a card? If so? Why did they print Zap, and not just Reprint flare? And don't say just so you can have 8 in a deck plz! Do the counters from giant oyster remain after it untaps or not? It says it doesn't on the card, but i've heard from other sources that it does??? Can you magical hack "Islandhome"? Can "plainshome" exist even though its never been seen before? Apparently I have a card thats like a earthquake but only to all creatures with "HORSEMANSHIP" and players. What is horsemanship? And what set is that? (I can't read anything on the card, not even the artist name) Well round 3 is at an end. I am tired of asking questions for now. Stay tuned in for round four! I hope these questions are helping other ppl too, not just me. Sorry just editing my post for a final question. If you power armor for +0/+0 it still targets right? Like a tar pit warrior would still be killed right?

Imagenyuss: The important part is the land must produce two mana (one must be blue). You use the one blue mana to untap the crab and the other you get to keep. Since the crab will be untapped you tap it to untap the land. Usually you will use a wild growth on a island or a fertile gound on any basic land.asphinx: My turn The worship stays in play. I noticed he said that but I figured you would ignore that, hehe. Mana short will not remove any counters from the lands since they are not being tapped for mana. The drain power requires one mana ability for each land so you could tap it for zero mana but that is still a mana ability. You wouldn't lose any counters. D.13.3 - Portal and Starter cards are not allowed unless they have the same name as a legal card. In this case, they play as the legal card text and not the Portal or Starter card text. [Duelist Magazine #18, Page 44] Tangle wire does not target. When the ability resolves you must tap that many artifact, creature, and land cards. Basically you have to tap the "to tangle wire" and not to anything else. Read the above rule for portal. Other then that they are sorceries. Yeah, four cepters can create infinite turns (or a lot of mana and voltaic keys). All the damage from the coin flips is saved up and is dealt when the spell is done resolving. Thus you need to power a Circle of Protection: Red only once for this. [D'Angelo 99/08/01] C.1.7 - Once a creature is declared as an attacker or blocker, tapping or untapping the creature will not remove it from combat or prevent it from dealing combat damage. [CompRules 99/04/23] You can untap a tapped creature. You can tap a tapped creature. (Exception is if the thing thatis tapping them or untapping them specifices that the creature must be tapped or untapped. EX: "Tap target untapped creature" must target an untapped creature) Note - In previous editions there was a rule that when an artifact is tapped, its abilities did not work. This rule no longer exists. Tapped artifacts still have their abilities function. [D'Angelo 99/05/01] The following artifacts still turn off (due to errata on these cards): Howling Mine, Static Orb, Storage Matrix, and Winter Orb. The following artifacts have one ability that turns off but others that remain working: Voodoo Doll and Watchdog You can regenerate lands from a geddon because it destroys, not buries. Nope, not an idiot. Wording: Whenever an opponent draws a card, ~this~ deals 1 damage to him or her. [Oracle 99/09/03] Well you pay all costs of activating the key's ability before it is put on the stack so it would be tapped, then the ability untaps it. Great mana sink No, beta lands have the same game text as the most recent legal versions printed of them. K.1.Ruling.2 - On some really old cards (from Limited Edition, Unlimited Edition, Arabian Nights, and Antiquities), the terms "Mono Artifact", "Poly Artifact", and "Continuous Artifact" appeared on cards. All such cards have errata. See the individual card entries for details. [D'Angelo 98/02/03] You can view the card's current errata by following this link. Musicians now has the wording: Text(IA+errata): 1/3. ; Cumulative Upkeep - {1}. ; {Tap}: Target creature gains "At the beginning of your upkeep, destroy this creature unless you pay {1}." (This effect doesn't end at end of turn.) [Oracle 00/02/01] No, snow covered lands are of type forest, island, etc. They just have the ability "snow-covered". You would get +4/+4 because they count as two basic land types. G.26 - Owner G.26.1 - The owner of a card is the one who started the game with that card in their library (see Rule Z.6). The game does not care who has property ownership of the cards, just who started the game with them. [CompRules 99/04/23] G.15.Ruling.1 - An effect is a draw only if it says so. Being told to take a card from your library and put it in your hand is not a draw. [CompRules 99/04/23] Just read the card to see if it triggers underworld dreams. Of theones you listed brainstorm and portent say draw so those trigger underworld. No, "Draw a card at the beggining of next turn's upkeep" has not been changed. Giant Oyster Text(HL+errata): 0/3. ; You may choose not to untap ~this~ during your untap step. ; {Tap}: As long as ~this~ remains tapped, target tapped creature doesn't untap during its controller's untap step, and at the beginning of each of your upkeeps, put a -1/-1 counter on that creature. When ~this~ becomes untapped or leaves play, remove all -1/-1 counters from the creature. [Oracle 00/10/24] Yup, that is one of hack's few uses, hehe. A.19.2 - A creature without Horsemanship cannot block a creature which has Horsemanship. [Three Kingdoms FAQ 00/06/05] Note - Horsemanship has only been used in the Portal: Three Kingdoms expansion. It is japanese Yes, power artifact always targets. I hope they are helping other people too... less work for me, hehe. fatman: Actually Will reads: Text(US+errata): Until end of turn, you may play cards in your graveyard as though they were in your hand. ; If a card would be put into your graveyard this turn, remove that card from the game instead. [Oracle 99/07/21] Only things that go to the graveyard yard after the will get removed. Sorrow's Path: The text for necro is: Text(5th+errata): Skip your draw step. ; If you would discard a card from your hand, remove that card from the game instead. ; Pay 1 life: Set aside the top card of your library face down. At the end of your turn, put that card into your hand. [Oracle 00/10/24] "At end of turn" effects happen before discard step so you do have to discard. To use it to it's fullest I suggest you necro as much as you can You don't always need four FOW, duress works to. Thrash Golem: Elaborating on Portcullis: Text(SH+errata): Whenever a creature comes into play, if there are two or more other creatures in play, remove that creature from the game. ; When ~this~ leaves play, return to play under their owner's control all creatures removed from the game with ~this~. [Oracle 99/05/01] If the creature that triggered Portcullis is no longer in play when the ability resolves, then it fails to do anything. [Duelist Magazine #25, Page 31] Creatures which are phasing in will not trigger this card's ability. [D'Angelo 98/04/13] You only check the count of the number of creatures in play during resolution. The creature will not be removed if the count is 2 or less. [D'Angelo 98/04/17] If Portcullis phases out, and something prevents one of the creatures from coming into play (for example, a Clone has no target), then the creature remains out of play and can try to enter play again the next time Portcullis leaves play. [bethmo 98/05/02] The "when Portcullis leaves play" is not part of setting the creature aside, so it does not happen if Portcullis' abilities are removed at the time it leaves play. [D'Angelo 99/06/01] If multiple creatures come into play at the same time, Portcullis triggers for each creature. [bethmo 99/05/26] If multiple creatures come into play at the same time, Portcullis sees the creature count as being the new total after all the creatures are in play. Don't handle this like creatures coming into play one at a time. [bethmo 99/05/26] If multiple creatures come into play at once, due to Living Death for example, then Portcullis will trigger on all of those creatures. The player controlling Portcullis decides the order to resolve the Portcullis triggers and therefore chooses which two creatures stay in play (assuming that none were already in play... if some were already in play he might not really get a choice). All the others get yanked by the Portcullis. [D'Angelo 98/06/11] If any creature comes into play which has a "comes into play" ability (see Rule E.3), that ability is still applied even if Portcullis removes that creature from play before you resolve the ability. [D'Angelo 98/06/11] If any creature comes into play which has a "comes into play" ability (see Rule E.3), you need to use the timing rules for triggered abilities (see Rule A.4) to determine the order to put the triggers on the stack. The rule is that first the current player does all of their triggers in any order they choose, then the other player does all of theirs in any order they choose. [D'Angelo 99/06/01] The result is that if the current player controls Portcullis, they can do their creatures' "comes into play" abilities before or after Portcullis removes creatures from play, while the other player always resolves their creatures' "comes into play" abilities before Portcullis. If the other player controls Portcullis, the current player always does their creatures' "comes into play" abilities after Portcullis, then the other player can do their creatures' "comes into play" abilities before or after the Portcullis removes creatures from play. When your creature comes into play there will be two creatures so it will get removed. Note- It does come intoplay so "come into play" effects will still trigger before it gets removed. vission: wording+ onme ruling: Text(5th): At the beginning of your draw step, you may draw two cards. If you do, choose two cards in your hand drawn this turn. For each of those cards, pay 4 life or put the card on top of your library. [Oracle 00/02/01] Spells and abilities are resolved one at a time, so if you use multiple Sylvan Libraries in one stack, each will resolve in sequence. You do not get to draw all the cards at once then put them all back at once. [WotC Rules Team 94/09/15] Guess my job is done... for today (sure hope the post isn't too big to be posted, hehe).

BlackStorm: The blastoderm loses thehaste, but it is still attacking (the creature only needs not have summoning sickness to be declared as an attacker). Just hope that you are not trying to give the blasty haste, hehe.BTW: In the time I was making the last post you posted. That is why you didn't get a reply in the last one. (Yes it took me that long. Lots of questions and only connected at 28.8 ... dunno why I am not connecting faster).

Abyss1636: You can pyut three counters on the pursuit with brainstorm, but you still have to put two cards back. You can put three counters on the pursuit with sylvan and don't have to put any back :)No e-mail, hotdogs.... stupid comercial. Actually no one who posts here will e-mail you. Check back like everyone else. Dark Prodigy: Your creature gets smaller. It will only stop targeting abilityies. Anything which effects all creatures will not be stopped. That is why you can wrath of god to kill ablack knight.

sorrow's path: The "at end of turn" abilities happen right after your main phase is over. This means you will not be able to play sorceries, only instants and mana sources. Then you will hit your discard step and discard down to seven.I will try to remember to post the turn break down when crystalkeep gets back up, but if I try to do it from memory I know that I will screw up.

k...i read somewhere that if you play an Illusions of Grandeur, your opponent can disenchant in response to the life gain ability going on the stack...causing you to lose 20 life before you gain any and thus losing you the game...is this true?thanx __________________ "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. inigomontoya: Illusions of gradeur comes into play and the "gain 20 life" ability is put on the stack. You can then add disenchant to the stack. Let the stack start to resolve and disenchant goes off killing the illusions and putting the "lose 20 life" ability on the stack. The "lose 20 life" ability resolves and your opponent (hopefully) dies. Cool, isn't it?
