I'm glad to know about the painlands... Reaver's ability is same as Spirit Link, the damage has to be actually DEALT before you can gain/lose anything, and since player loses immediately if his/her life reaches zero...

I need help with a big problem. Everyone here has started playing proxies of everything. I don't want to be a jerk towards them because they are my friends, but I can't handle it anymore. I play with real power nine and only cards I have in my current collection. Is there a ruling on making proxies of cards you don't own? I keep losing to cards people don't have and it's making me mad. Also they say you can play with four of any card in casual play because this is not a tournment. I don't agree with this and would like a ruling to this also. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. A.J.

Well, Pandemonium, you got most of them However, #10, the Covetous Dragon, does not involve a state-based effect but rather a triggered event. When the Tooth leaves play, the Dragon "sees" that there are no artifacts and his ability goes on the stack. In response to the ability it is possible to cast instants, so Swords or other spells would still work. __________________ email me at gzeiger@hotmail.com All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither; Deep roots are not touched by frost. --- JRR Tolkien

2cool4u: It depends if its tournament or casual play. Tourney play its illegal, but if casual, I suggest letting them use the proxies to make the games more fun.gzeiger: Its actually a statebased triggered effect.

There are no real rules about casual play, if people like to play 10 card starting hand size, how can anyone stop them? Casual is for fun.I recall the Covetous Dragon's effect to be statebased too. Master: The hellion pump is done like this: You activate the ability, then activate it again in response to the activation. You do this until 8 abilities are on the stack, none of them resolved yet. Then you respond to them by discarding the Dreadnought from your hand. The stack looks like this: Discard Pumpx8 Discard resolves, making the Shapeshifter 12/12 trampler. Then the pumps resolve, one at a time and change it into 20/4 trampler for your opponents to enjoy. Ok, I'll stop helping for now 'til I get permission to continue.

When you attempt to cast a Hatred and someone counters it, do you still lose the life you paid? Or don't you even pay the life yet because it wasn't successfully cast? "The life payment is part of the play cost (see Rule K.20), so it is lost if this spell is countered. [Barclay 98/06/10]"You lose the life, its the risk you take with suicide black.

i have a question...can you pump a morphling to a 0/10 and then pump it back up to a 9/1? when it is a 0/6, when you pump it back one more time does it become a 0/7, or a -1/7. please let me know...because this has been causing some ruling problems lately. thanks.

Cloud - you can pump a Morphling up to -7/10. It is effectively a 0/10, as creatures with power less than 0 do no combat damage, but it still remembers this when you try to pump it up again.

Well I was wondering what would happen if I had a Pandemonium in play and activated a chimeric idol. Would I get to deal the 3 damage? Or not? Some people say yes others say no so I would like to know for sure.

Note to Coolio: I'm still only answering questions you already dealt with. Please don't yell at me Activating a Chimeric Idol does not activate Pandemonium. The Idol is becoming a creature, but it is not coming into play.

I cast Eureka and put out Recycle. Since I draw a card everytime I play a card (due to Recycle), would it be possible to go through my entire deck?__________________ I have gone to look for myself. Reinhart - The one with the Kavu Titan will win, as the damage has to be dealt before the wall of souls ability triggersMaximus Ar - Yes

pandemonium, the errat said somethign about the damage being delt by the wall is at the same time as combat damage. so doesn't that mean that the derm and the wall are dealing damage at the same time? which brings a new question: We are both at 1 life and he bolts me. Can I cast Eye for an Eye to force a draw?
If I have Mogg Conscripts in play and the next turn i try to cast a goblin, and it gets countered, can the mogg Conscripts attack? __________________ Looking for someone to play Apprentice with?

Also, do i have to reveal all the objects i hide? can i hide my opponents binder and "forget" where i put it? ENJOY!

Black Mage - Tapping your lands is an effect of the Chimeric Idol's ability, not a cost. You don't actually have to have any lands untapped to use the ability. The important thing to notice is that the tapping is written after the colon.Maximus AR - you can't draw your whole deck from the Eureka. Recycle has a triggered ability which will not go on the stack until Eureka has finished resolving. That means you definitely could not "Eureka" the cards you drew from the Recycle. I also strongly suspect that putting a card into play by the Eureka effect does not count as "playing" it for purposes of Recycle. I'm not so sure though, so I'll leave it to Coolio for a definitive answer.
