What happens with mutavault and engineered plague (on any creature type) When mutavault is animated, is it a 1/1 or a 2/2 due to layers?

only triggers once, you can pay for it one time when that single trigger resolves

Cursed Totem ... does it work with dredge creatures? (I mean if cursed totem is in play, can you still dredge for 5 with stinkweed imp? I think not but I just wanna make sure).

702.49a. Dredge is a static ability that functions only while the card with dredge is in a player's graveyard....Cursed totem only stops activated abilities. Dredge away. __________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? [16:18] <@BrassMan> gush is unrestricted

When i play a Mind's Desire and my opponent has a Sphere of Resistance out, do I have to pay one mana for my spells or are they free?

mind's desire creatures an alternative cost for playing the spells "ie: play them for free"117.9d. If an alternative cost is being paid to cast a spell, any additional costs, cost increases, and cost reductions that affect that spell are applied to that alternative cost.

Imprint question -- If you make a copy of Isochron Scepter or another artifact that is already imprinted, does the copy get the imprint as well?

It doesn't get the imprint info from the original, but it will trigger its own imprint when it ETB.

This is a question based on Brian Demars' SCG article yesterday:How does City in a Bottle work with proxied bazaars? Does it treat them as Arabian Nights cards?

A proxie, for all game intents/purposes, is treated as an exact copy. so yes, they are Nights cards.__________________ "He fights you not because you have wronged him, but because you are there."[16:17] <@BrassMan> what do you need new tech for? [16:18] <@BrassMan> gush is unrestricted

The only dregder in my GY is a Golgari-Grave troll. I cast Breakthrough. Afer dredging my first 6 cards, another Dredger is in my GY, for my 2nd Breakthrough draw can I continue dredging, or do I just draw 3 cards as they weren't in my GY before the spell was cast.

Since each draw happens independently, the new card will be in the GY when you have to choose to dredge, so that's perfectly fine to continue dredging.

Since proxies aren't allowed in sanctioned events, I feel like the answer to this question is discretionary to whoever is judging. I'd personally rule that a proxy has all the symbols from each set it has been printed in, unless it is indicated otherwise on the proxy. edit: If for some reason a proxy is issued to you in a sanctioned tournament (which is something I didn't think of in my original answer), then is is an exact copy of the card it replaces, so if the proxy is replacing a CH CoB, then the proxy is CH, and so forth. __________________ *MafiaBass*Joshweek*Letter Bombs!*Prices*Gatherer*Logout <Tranderas> damn

Does Gilder Bairn just add one counter of each type, or does it double them? So if I had, say, a Jace Beleren with 3 counters, and I targeted it with Gilder Bairn, would it get 3 additional counters, or just 1?__________________ Ebay problems? File a claim, leave a neg, buy on MOTL.

if I block a greatbow doyen with an indestructible creature with pariah on it, does it result in an infinite combo or does it stop after the damage that hits me goes to the indestructible creature?

That depends. Is the blocking creature large enough to kill the Greatbow Doyen? If the Doyen dies in combat, it will only trigger the once. When that trigger resolves there will be no Greatbow Doyen to trigger again. If the Greatbow Doyen lives through Combat, you have yourself a loop.
